I spent 6 nights in a junior family suite with a mountain view, having spent my first night in a similar suite with a sea view (a last-minute booking - my stay was in 2 rooms due to availability). The sea view is spectacular, but I really enjoyed the precipitous mountin view, trees, and bird song for the mainstay of the trip. The room is spacious, elegant, and comfortable, with a ladder to an attic mezzanine with an extra bed. I didn't wap beds, but enjoyed this original hideaway feature. The bay is gorgeous - much enjoyed the terraces and the private beach with sunbeds inches from beautifully clear water. Good breakfast options, beach snacks, lunch and dinner, featuring local specialities. Staff: exceptionally kind and helpful, going out of their way to ensure I had an unforgettabe stay. I booked three excursions through the hotel - all went perfectly. Swimming in blue cave and visiting Black Lake at the national park have been incredible experiences; Black Lake - so beautiful, it doesn't seem real. I have to thank Vladana, Nataša, Anđela and Jovica, the Casa Del Mare's wonderful driver, for all their kind, thoughtful efforts to ensure I had the trip of a lifetime (apologies here for spelling uncertainties and not learning the names of all the lovely front-desk and waiting staff). Again, I can't give higher accolades for this hotel and the quality of my experience.

First of all, sorry for the late review. We are the blanket family :) I believe this is our family's code name for the staff. This was my first trip to Europe and the staff of this hotel put the bar too high. They were very helpful. When you ask a question they come with you and tell you the solution at the place of the question. For example if you ask a question about the parking lot, they came out and show you. Every staff member was very kind and friendly. Breakfast's were delicious. Every morning we were like in a very elegant restaurant. The words generally coming out of staffs mouth was Of Course and Enjoy :) Each member was very professional on their job. Ohh and the scene from the hotel was amazing, waking up to that view heals human soul and it is much more quiter then the center of Kotor or Budva. Room was very clean, the shirts smell, and cleanless also amazed me. The bed was very comfortable. When I remember my visit I miss all of them. I would very love to come across with this hotel which I call my home in Kotor. And last but not least our code name comes from the day we entered our room we wanted much more blankets, they were suprised but they bring our blankets right away :)

This place is magical! The view is just stunning, I could sit on that balcony all day long and just stare at how marvelous it is. The staff were some of the kindest I've ever met. The breakfast I think was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! A huge spread of meat, cheese, baked goods, salads, fruit...PLUS you get coffee and a hot meal of your choice from so many choices...the Montenegran Toast was a special treat, highly recommend trying that. The food at the restaurant was quite delicious, we ate there every night for dinner because we were with our baby and didn't want to go out at night. The spa is small, just a hot tub and a sauna, but its a PROPER Finnish sauna.

Only downside was there isn't an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor with our baby, but they let us keep his stroller on the ground floor so it wasn't a huge deal!

Our stay in Kotor Bay was absolutely unforgettable. The view over the bay was truly breathtaking – one of the most stunning we’ve ever seen. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect way to start the day. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and helpful, making us feel genuinely welcome. Dinner was equally delightful, and our room was comfortable and beautifully appointed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is located a bit away from the main towns like Kotor and Perast. While the peaceful setting is lovely, getting around requires a taxi, which typically costs around €15–€20 each way. If you're planning to explore the area frequently, this can add up over a longer stay. Additionally, there isn’t a promenade or dedicated path nearby for walking or jogging. After about 500 meters, the road connects to the main road, which is quite narrow with traffic, making it difficult to enjoy morning runs or walks safely.

Our experience at Hotel Amfora - Casa del Mare in Orahovac, Kotor was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The location is stunning – the view over the bay is breathtaking and creates the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, with options that cater to every taste. Everything we tried exceeded our expectations. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the exceptional service. The entire staff was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. A special mention goes to Vladana, who stood out with her kindness, positive energy, and attention to detail. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for – a true gem! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back!

This was my second stay at The Amfora, having been blown away by the beauty of the location, the comfort, and the kindess of the staff, at my first visit in October 2023. My return trip lived up to all my expectations. I had a lovely, warm welcome from Vladana, Nataša, and all the staff, which I much appreciated, and spent four blissful days enjoying the sun and the gorgeous views of the bay from under a leafy fig tree, which is my favourite spot on the small private beach. I stayed, again, in a suite with a mountain view, which I actually prefer for having my morning coffee on the balcony. The staff at The Amfora are always very helpful with arranging trips and booking taxis. For my shorter stay this year, I made one trip to Ribarsko Selo, an amazing fish restaurant and beach club which I'd spotted during a boat trip to Blue Cave last year. The Amfora is perfect for quiet beach days and as a base for explorations, locally and beyond, by boat or road. Montenegro is a favourite destination for me and The Amfora is a place I hope to stay at time and time again. Very highly recommended!

Nothing not to like.

Very quiet location, felt very private. The private beach was the best part. My little girl loved swimming in the bay every day, the views just surround you. The staff were always on hand to help and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is close to Perast and Kotor Old town, taxis easy to get (which the hotel will call up for you). Breakfast and all the food we had were superb. The room was spacious and had all our requirements met. Would highly recommend.

No lift, we stayed on the top floor and had 2 young children, we decided to leave the pram in the lobby area to save s carrying it up and down each time. This was only a small matter though. WIFI wasn't great on the top floor either.

I had the most wonderful week at Casa del Mare- Amfora. Even before my arrival, Nataša, at the ront desk, arrived a smooth transfer from Tivat airport with Jovica, the hotel group's super-friendly and helpful driver. There was a warm welcome and a glass of prosecco upon arrival. The view of the bay and mountains from the terrace took my breath away. I'd made a last-minute booking and my stay was split between 2 rooms - a sea view junior suite in the attic for the first night and a mountain view junior suite for the rest of the week. The sea view suite is a spacious room with elegant, modern, and very comfortable furniture. There's a ladder going up to a mezzanine with an additional bed, which is a nice, original touch. The view from the room is gorgeous. The mountain view is also lovely and has its own charm with many shades of green trees, bird song, and an impressive up-close experience of the granite peaks. The terraces and alcoves overlooking the bay are beautifully done, built for dazzling views while feeling calm and private. I very much enjoyed the beach area, inches from the clear water with green shade and, I think, a pomegranate tree! There's a good beach snack menu, and very good options for dinner and breakfast, including local specialties. Everything about this hotel - thoughtful design, peace and privacy, the beauty of the location, and warm, kind, gracious staff, has made for an exceptional experience I won't forget. I can't recommend this hotel more highly.

The hotel was amazing - it started with the entire crew, from reception to house keeping and restaurant, being kind and helping, taking care to all our needs and questions. The facilities - private spa and restaurant are very high quality. The room was great and the terrace with the view to the water was amazing. It has a quiet private beach which is amazing. Everything was as seen in the pictures, and more.

Food at the hotel was fantastic and I really liked the buffet option as well as being able to order anything from the a la carte menu for breakfast (try the Montenegrin Toast!). Hotel had beach service and was on quiet street with great views with balconies from the front facing rooms. Two markets within a stone's throw to grab afternoon ice cream treats for the kids. Beds were comfortable and rooms felt spacious and modern. Staff was fantastic with very nice service.

For us it was great - we were very satisfied.
