We got the best room with the grand view of the reservoir and the surrounding mountains which we enjoyed tremendously! Moreover, the owner invited us to his house, where we had interesting talks about lots of topics, among these about Islam, the Palastinian-Jordan- Israeli relation, about life in Jordan. We loved the Jordan breakfast and dinner, loved to meet his sons and the other guests while having tea. The owner recommended us a way along the Israeli border on our way to the archeological site Umm Qais - an educating experience! All in all, the 2 days we stayed passed much too quickly. We will not forget our stay, an authentic experience which we recommend!

This is a wonderful corner of Jordan, and the Murshed Motel is a great place to see it from. Our room was big and comfortable, with a terrific view. Our host was welcoming, with good advice for the area. Breakfast was very good, helped by the lovely terrace with orange and kumquat trees.

Everything was good - although the WiFi could have been stronger in our room.

The owner was very very hospitable. We were offered a family-style dinner which was a nice and cozy way to get to know the rest of the guests and the host. The breakfast in the morning with the view was fantastic.

A little too much nature for a person living in the suburbs. The dogs were barking through the night. The mules/donkeys were loud as well. The rooster started at 3 am. Except for the noise level, everything else was just perfect. I would recommend this as a beautiful place to overnight as long as you are prepared for an extra dose of nature.

Zacharia, the owner, is really friendly and welcoming. We sat in his home, chatted, and he kindly offered us tea. The following morning, there was a lovely traditional Jordanian breakfast, and again, Zacharia was around, and I enjoyed another chat with him. The room is huge, although fairly basic compared to several places I stayed whilst in Jordan. I was offered an evening meal option. Lovely view over the dam/reservoir.

Sadly, I slept very badly, as there are many wild dogs in the vicinity, and they barked loudly throughout the night. I didn't experience this problem in other rural locations in Jordan, despite there being lots of dogs everywhere I went. It is not the fault of the owner, but it is worth mentioning for the benefit of future travellers.

Absolute beautiful place. Don't expect 5 star luxury room, but you don't need any if you'll see the view. All rooms are big and simple. Own bathroom and good shower. Also the owner Zacharia is very welcoming and you can have a nice chat with him. He invited us into his house to drink some tea and talk about his live. His wife made some delicious food as diner and also breakfast was perfect. Before we left we got some oranges out of his garden and he gave us a nice route to Umm Qais. Soon there will be a new appartment building finished on this same location.

The location is excellent with good views. The welcome is exceptionally friendly, and the whole ambiance is good. The rooms are spacious and also have good views. The home cooked dinner is excellent.

It would be nice to have a hairdryer in the room and some hand towels.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Murshed, and we really like it/ Perfect for a stopover visiting Umm Qais. They do an excellent and really reasonable dinner, which I would recommend. The owner seems to view the place less as a business and more as a way of getting to meet people and his family did their best to make our stay lovely!

Be aware that this isn't a luxury hotel, but it's perfectly comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. I will stay there again if I go that way in the future!

Zachariah made us feel welcome from the very start. The view of the wadi lake from our room was spectacular. The food was excellent - don't miss the chance to try the home cooking (which Zachariah served us in his own home). The surrounding area is beautiful - not just Um Quais, but also the Yarmouk Gorge road (try the first tea shop you come to) and Yarmouk reserve (short hike possible without guide).

We had very pleasant stay in Murshed Motel, it was our first night in Jordan and Zacharia made us feel very welcome. Spacious room had everything we possibly needed and with absolutely wonderful views to lake which we enjoyed in the morning. We arrived quite late in the evening, and despite late hour we were served a lovely homemade meal and had a pleasant chat with Zacharia and his friends after the meal. If you're planning to stay overnight in the north, make sure you book this place!

As a welcone we drank a cup of the in the owner's living room. The whole family is very friendly. Very isolated position, far away from the crowds with a wonderful view on the lake below and the mountains. The rooms are huge with a nice terrace with fantastic view. There is even a kitchen, but I recommand to have dinner in the living room with the other guests which was excellent and so was the breakfast. We can only highly recommand this place if you are heading north from Jerash.

During the nights dogs were barking and a cock in the niddle of the night thought it was already morning, but of course that is not their fault
