The owner of the hotel was so very warm and friendly. She really made us feel welcome. We had several meals at the hotel, which were excellent. The Thai curries had lots of vegetables and breakfast was served with homemade bread and jam. We slept very well in a fan bungalow, while our friends had an air-con one. The resort is just off the main road that runs between Mae Hong Son and Pai. It's about 20 minutes from there to Nam Lod Cave, which is one of the main attractions in the area. We would happily stay at the Jungle Guest House again!

This must be one of the best places we've stayed at during our tour around northern Thailand. Ideally placed as a stopover if you're driving the Mae Hong Son loop as we were. Da and her husband are the most lovely hosts who will make you feel very very welcome. Our bungalow was quite new , modern, well built with a good shower and very comfortable bed. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh. Dinner was fantastic , so tasty with lots and lots of vegetables and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We were there for 2 nights and we loved it :) We came to Soppong because of this accommodation as I had read good reviews. Owner, she is such a genuinely nice woman. She cooks for you fresh homemade food, which you can choose from her menu all day. Room and bathroom are super clean, shower is huge.
The accommodation is perfect ! (the only small thing that could be improved is to add a small lamp in the room). ADVICE FOR TRAVELLERS: If you are travelling here to Soppong and are not going on a motorbike, be sure to buy a minivan ticket in advance, as they tend to be sold out for several days. Another option is to arrange a driver with excursion stops on the way, e.g. from Chiang Mai (it is expensive, but in connection with excursions along the way it may make sense). You will not find a driver in Soppong, there is only a scooter taxi.

Beautiful, quiet guesthouse off the main street. It was very hot and we were offered an upgrade to an air conditioned bungalow which we gratefully took. Everything about this place is fantastic- the room was spotless and comfortable. The price and the food was amazing. All of the fruits were grown on site. The best part about our stay here was Da - she is an amazing host who takes good care of her guests. We will definitely return in cooler months to stay again.
A fridge in the room to keep cold drinks would make this a perfect stay.

Loved everything from the owner to the cabin to the food and the bed. This would rate as our favourite stay in Thailand. Exceeded our expectations we were sorry to leave will definitely be back. Best bed, the deck and privacy, bathroom, and especially the food and owners.
The only fault we could find would be the stairs to the cabin are a little steep with no hand rail (yes we are old), but they kept apologizing for them so I have a feeling they may be adding rails which would be the only improvement we could see that was needed.

The owner is obviously someone who treats her guests as well as her rooms the same way she’d like to be treated if she was a guest. The room was squeaky clean, minimal rooms with all you need, the location is amazing, the food was excellent. The rooms have hot water with a very good pressure, fresh and good smelling linen, they even had mosquito deodorant. Everything was very well looked after. This was really the highlight of our trip.
There was nothing we didn’t like

We had a long trip around Thailand, and other South East Asian countries, but this place was our favorite. It’s a lovely little guesthouse in the nature, remote enough for a calm getaway, but also with amazing connectivity. Wifi was better than in city-centre hotels we’ve been to previously. And the best part- the food!! They have a cute terrace with an on site restaurant. And the hosts are amazing cooks, food was simply delicious. It was also very nice meeting the hosts, they were so friendly! Would love to come back, and stay longer next time.

The best part of Jungle Guesthouse is the owner Da/Dah. She is such a positive, cheery & thoughtful person. I'd stay again just to see her! The cabin was very clean, and comfortable. Conveniently located in Pang Mapha, but far enough off the main drag to be quiet. She also offers meals, and whipped me up some amazing green curry! Thanks for the hospitality Da/Dah!
It is tough to locate the driveway to get to the Jungle Guesthouse, particularly at night, though Da/Dah was helpful when I called. Google Maps will get you within a 100 yards of the small driveway. There is a sign at the road, but it is small, and doesn't have a light. The driveway is diagonally across from the small Pang Mapha Police Station. See pictures of sign & police station.

We stayed one night in the jungle Guesthouse. The host is really, really friendly and hearty. She explained a lot and gave us good tipps. There are several options for breakfast and dinner available. Dishes are prepared freshly with best ingredients. Her homemade curries and the breakfast were amazing. Each room is located in a seperate cottage. Everything necessary for a stay was available. The room is lacking AC, instead a fan is present. Nevertheless the temperature during the night was okay. (End October) Thank you very much for the hosting! Recommend if you want to stay in a rather rural area of the northern mountains

Everything here was so nice! The location is amazing, in the jungle and very quiet. They have very comfortable beds, not the hard ones like everywhere in Asia, so we finally slept good The food is of superb quality. Literally the best food we have in Thailand so far. The family is extremely friendly and helpful I would suggest everyone to book here, you won't regret it
The chickens that woke us up every morning but also during the night were a bit annoying
