I loved that place! The whole hostel was very chill, relaxing and authentic. I like the rooms with it's bamboo beds and mosquito nets, I had a couple of fans in my room. I also loved main common area with it's hammocks and all those smaller places where to chill. From terrace it's so nice view to the river, field and mountain. Shower was nice and clean, hot water is available. Breakfast is modest but good (pineapple, watermelon and toast). The whole are was clean! Wifi was good. They also provide some tours! Lady in reception is super friendly and helpful. Location is nice, around 500-700 m from night market and bus station.

Bamboo bed and floors are making some noise, but hostel provides free ear plugs.

The accommodation is at a walkable distance to the centre of Pai and is facing a river with a stunning view on the fields and the mountains of Pai. I stayed in a 4 bedroom room, that was essential with a comfortable bed with net for mosquitos, and a safe locker. Showers and toilet are shared, and were kept clean. There are two big common areas, one downstairs and one upstairs, with amacas, chairs and sofas. Breakfast with bread and jam, fresh fruit coffee and tea are included in the price. The accommodation allows renting scooters and to book tours in the area. The staff was kind and helpful, and here I met many nice travellers.

Nothing!

the owner/staff were so helpful--after I had booked, days before my arrival. The ambiance of the place is very peaceful and like you're in the jungle, though you are actually not so far from "the action".

it was a bit far from the walking/main street, but still central and ok. there were some soil falling into the bed sheets and toilet.

I have no words to describe the special connection I felt with this place. It’s a guest house with a rustic charm, featuring beautiful wooden spaces immersed in nature with a river you can swimming. The views are simply incredible, and I was one of the most stunning sunrises I’ve ever seen. The common areas are quite spacious, spread across three different areas. Although the entrance is on a main avenue, once you step into the back area of the guest house, it’s simply magical, like entering an enchanted land. Everything is decorated with so much care. Unfortunately, it’s a shame that some people leave the common areas messy and littered. I had no issues with the accommodation or the sound of the creaking wood when walking around, as I’m someone who easily adapts. However, if you’re sensitive to noise, this might not be the place for you. But if so, you’d be missing out on the most beautiful sunrise and an incredible immersion in nature. Without a doubt, when I will return in Pai, I will spend all my days at HP2U, and I am truly grateful to Cher for her hospitality and generosity. As a photographer, the lighting and scenery here are absolutely perfect for photos. I took some amazing shots in this place.

The hostel location was within walking distance to the main walking street (~5 minutes). It's also right next to the river and the hostel has setup sunloungers and hammocks to relax on. Breakfast, coffee and free towels being included was also great. The beds are comfortable, mosquito nets are provided and there's plenty of room in the dorm. The aesthetic of the hostel was also nice with everything having the jungle feeling.

It would be good to have a bit more lighting in the bathroom area as it's otherwise quite difficult to see at night.

Very friendly staff!! They are very sweet. The breakfast is basic but includes delicious fresh fruit. The location is quieter than other hostels, although it is only about 5-7 minutes (walking) away from the busy town. The hostel itself has very spacious and beautiful common areas, perfect to read and do some work on your computer while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Also there is an access to the river with a cute deck you can lounge in. I just had to stay an extra night🥰

The beds are rather hard, but the pillows are actually quite nice.

We loved it here, so much so that we extended by 3 days! Breakfast was included even though it didn’t say on here which was a great bonus - it’s basic but sets you up for the day! We stayed in the upper part of the treehouse dorm, it felt like we fully had our own space. The dorm and bathrooms are very clean. Chill out area is so nice too. Staff so friendly and welcoming

Beds were a little hard as they’re just thin mattresses, but it’s not too bad that you wake up achey

It was nice to have some breakfast (fruits and toast) and to have a small kitchen area. I really liked the common spaces, especially the ones near the river, you will have some shade in the afternoon.

That in common areas the lights were on all night, a few would have sufficed. The common area had pillows and blankets the covers probably need a wash but I used my own cover or towel when lying down. Lots of space for hanging clothes outside, really clean, free ear plugs.

Right next to the river with views of the mountains and plenty of hammocks and chill out areas it was just gorgeous to be in the mountains and waking up to that view every morning. About a 10-15 minute walk to Pai walking street. Facilities were pretty basic but true to local standards and the location more than makes up for it. Socket by each bed, no curtains but mosquito nets! Comparatively cheap and efficient laundry service. Helpful staff :)

Great riverside setting and hostel with a relaxed social terrace, beautiful traditional wooden architecture, lockers and good location walking distance from the centre and its noise. The owner is lovely and offers tours and extra services without being pushy. A simple buffet breakfast of toast, fruit and hot (instant) drinks is included.

While the staff clearly work hard to mitigate noise from the road and keep the shared facilities clean, these are still minor downsides to the hostel.
