The breakfast was great. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The property is centrally located - even for business meetings in Durban Central

The wifi in my room had poor reception - it was mentioned to me that this room had poor reception upon my arrival. This did however hamper the work I needed to complete. I had to create my own wifi hotspot from my mobile phone. A signal booster can solve the challenge.

We booked the smallest of all Forest Manor rooms last year (2024) and indeed it was fantastic and best enough. We loved the property, the location, the pool, the lot. The service is perfect from the gentleman you get to meet, very peasant. The ladies in the kitchen, Wow, the food, the room service, the knowledge of the surrounding. We were here for 2 nights last year, 2024. Well, the property, the location, the privacy and the rooms are the best, so I upgraded this year to a more posh room and I will do the same next time until I get to the presidential suit...

Nothing that I did not like.

A lot of attention (and no little expense) has been afforded to the decor throughout. A good looking hotel with a lot to explore. Comfortable sitting area with honesty bar. Decent breakfast by the pool with good choice. Short drive to the beach and Umhlanga Rocks. Will probably be our go to when we are next in Durban.

WiFi was a little dodgy in the room but ok downstairs.

The host went out their way to accommodate us and it seemed nothing was too much trouble right down to helping with telling the taxi driver the best place to drop us off at the airport. The Manor Suite was an amazing space to finish off our stay in South Africa. The breakfast was fit for a king!

The only thing we can find that we didn't like is the fact we couldn't stay longer.

Absolutely everything. The location, the peace, the delicious breakfast! The host is just amazing. When we had a hiccup with car issues, he stepped in and we felt safe! We booked this place for our son and we know we will not be staying anywhere else next time we are at Umhlanga. The best

A lovely room and facilities. The pool area was well kept and quiet. Breakfast was great although not all that were ordered were provided. Staff were friendly.

On my arrival I indicated that I always have a challenge to get proof of payment or an invoice and that I wish not to leave without such document. It was indicated to me that I'll receive proof of payment the next day via email. It is six days later and I again have a battle to get proof of payment. I don't understand why this is a challenge and I have tried to take it up with booking.com too, without any success. Tip - if you require proof of payment, insist on it BEFORE you leave!!
