It was my second visit, the room was spacious with all amenities & great location. It was a 1 night stay to celebrate my sister's graduation & I was happy she also loved the place as she is a difficult person to impress.

My last visit was early July & we were allowed to include milkshake in our dinner vouchers, which was my favourite on my meal but this time we were told milkshake falls under soft drinks & we need to pay cash for them which doesn't make sense. I finally got the worst milkshake I've ever seen & I didn't even taste it. Their professional & friendly manager Phila apologised & since his apology was sincere we accepted.

My first experience at Skye Coastlands was one where the guest was treated like the most important person. Your gesture to rectify an error at check in was outstanding for customer relations. I was so impressed that I convinced my brother to book 2 deluxe rooms in addition to my booking. To the manager, night manager and reception staff well done on excellent client service. Special mention to the waiter Vassie who was excellent at the service delivered and his excellent conversation kept us ordering more of their 5 star Cheesecake and Tiramisu. Well done Coastlands a 10 from me

Everything was amazing. Staff and facilities aside from our issue with the room smell, was really good. Definitely coming back. Loved the beans curry. Maybe add cutlery and dishwasher to the rooms with the kitchen.

There was a terrible smell in the room when we got back from the Valentine buffet . Smelled like raw sewage. We did have to call twice to get someone there. The maintenance guy checked everything but he said it might be the aircon and they might have been cooking g below or above our rooms. He did kindly arrange another room and helped move our luggage. Very appreciate of his help.

I loved the room... Very spacious and the fact that they have a microwave and a fridge was a bonus for me. They had iron and ironing board really loved that however what really stood up for me was the stuff. Very professional and friendly, especially the breakfast crew they were extremely professional. Lerato one of the waitresses made us feel at home. The smile, politeness , professionalism... You guys were very demure.

We couldn't control the AC, we asked for help but nothing changed. It was really really freezing at night.

The property is new, clean and spacious! The rooms and bathrooms are generous in size, giving you enough space to unpack your stuff and store it in the wardrobes. The room is also equipped with many plug points and usb ports to change multiple devices at once. The staff were always helpful and friendly. As a solo traveller, I felt reassured by the card only access to the floors on which rooms were located, meaning people couldn’t wonder about the hotel randomly. The carpark also provides safety for your rental vehicle.

This was a luxury room with modern features. Staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

You are unable to switch off the lights in the room without removing the access card. I have stayed in many hotels and it is first that the above is required in order to switch the lights off especially when you are trying to sleep. When you call reception , they advise that there is nothing that can be done. Also the aircon also switches off when the access card is removed. Surely there should be light switches to switch the lights off...

We loved how wonderful it looked, how clean and modern it is, and the food was exceptional! We loved the variety at breakfast. The rooftop restaurant and bar are stunning, and I would have loved to take a dip in the pool if the weather was better. It’s very close to the beach, but I wish the rooms were beach-facing. I still highly recommend this hotel!

The room key had some issues on more than one occasion, which meant unplanned trips to reception. Other than that, what a great hotel!!

New hotel in Umhlanga, very nice and in a quite area. The room that we stayed in (604) was spacious with an big bathroom that had a shower and modern bathtub. Water pressure was very good. Lots of cupboard space and a bar fridge and microwave. Excellent breakfast, highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel.

1. Bed was very hard/firm and uncomfortable. Had a backache the next day. (Maybe the owner should try sleeping on one if these beds in order to feel how uncomfortable it is). 2. Four star hotel, but does not provide disposable slippers in the rooms. 3. No pub in the hotel (there was a rugby game between SA and All Blacks), so i had to go elsewhere to watch and even in the room there was no dstv channel that showed the game live. 4. The Stratus Restaurant and Bar was not open, so there were no pool facilities. (Although it displays on the website). 5. The receptionist made a hash up of my pre-payment and it took a while to sort it out.

Location was good, food was good at the restaurant though I was not sure what payment was needed when we left since we paid cash or by card. Staff was friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and beautiful.

Maybe wifi in the basement. My daughter panicked thinking we were involved in the accident on the N2 when she could not reach us. We were in the basement parking and unfortunately no signal. It is very hot down there, not good Milk in the rooms were not good, more water required.

I loved everything. From the entrance to the room. The welcome drinks from the door coming with a smile and love, the receptionist was warm towards us, the furniture in the room was exceptional, very classy and still new. The variety of food we had for breakfast was delicious and amazing, the strauss restaurant was top notch especially those tables that are placed where you can enjoy the view while enjoying your meals.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. I loved everything
