The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly.

The room service was slow and delayed, food on one occasion took about an hour to come, and the food was cold. The place was clean but could be better.

It was a birthday gift to a family member and I mentioned the special occasion in my booking. My family were excited to receive a welcome basket of goodies for their birthday and a room that was sea facing. The Manager called them personally to invite them to a complimentary dinner but they were full from the delicious goody basket. They were then offered a complimentary breakfast and were very happy with the range of vegetarian foods that was provided to cater for them. The hotel more than exceeded our expectation in terms of making it special for the family member. Will definitely stay at Coastlands when we visit South Africa again.

Loved everything about our stay. We loved the breakfast and also went to the bar later in the evening, lovely cocktails and space. The room was good and spacious for our family of 4. Further loved the location, so close to Gateway mall and not so far from the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter celebrated her birthday while staying at the hotel and the birthday staff made her day special by singing to her and giving her cake.

The outside area at 3rd floor could atleast have more outdoor furniture, like outdoor pool chairs so that it can be more inviting for days when people wish to spend the day at the hotel and not want to be confined in the room.

loved the service for the room - our fridge did not have a freezer section - we need to keep icepack for our insulin frozen - we requested a fridge with freezer and received one shortly afterwards - impressive and thank you. the room was clean especially the bathroom.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing - I had to pay for a cappuccino - R250 per person for breakfast should include cappuccino. My omelette was not the good - the cheese was not melted - however the lamb sausage was good. I think there should be labels for the scone section - i took a scone thinking I am going to have scone with cream and jam- only to taste a savoury scone with sour cream - not for me - I loved the yogurt section - was so impressed thought it was ice cream for breakfast - to my bad - it was yogurt.

I love the comfort of the rooms, cleanliness, amazing views from the rooms and the staff are so helpful. Location is perfect.

Breakfast. The same breakfast has been served for the past 13 years that I am going to the hotel. It gets very boring. Please change the breakfast on a daily basis. Also the room service Menu needs to be increased. It is very limited which forces guests to go out of the hotel for hot meals. During Winter, the pools should have a heating system as the water is freezing and kids love the pool but guests are unable to make use of the pool during Winter.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. All of the staff were very professional and the hotel was beautiful.

I was hoping to lie in on Sunday morning but was awoken at 6 am by the very loud conversation the couple in the room adjacent to my own was having which traveled to my room via the inter-leading door.I feel that something should be done about this to ensure another person does not have the same experience.

The room was spacious and comfortable.

There were no dstv channels not much options. You would expect smiles and a friendly welcome. The staff that brought the room service said she couldn't leave the food without payment even though I said my husband wasn't in and would pay when he gets in or she could come back. Not much dessert options for room service

The room was beyond expectations. Absolutely clean, spacious and well kitted with everything you need.

Couldn't control the aircon temp. Tried setting on 24 degrees as we went to sleep but it kept jumping back to 15 degrees. Get up in middle of the night freezing and to adjust again but the control is across the room and you have to get out of bed. Breakfast was really bad. We only enjoyed the eggs. Must be the worst mutton sausages i've ever attempted to eat. The fruit and yoghurt was ok but not the hot breakfast.

Room was nice and comfortable, breakfast was also very nice with great choices. the only problem I had was with my key card, it did not want to open the door and I had to walk back and forth to reception to resolve it, this was eventually explained to be a maintenance matter with the battery on the door and will be only addressed in the morning.

The kitchen closes early 22h00, I checked in at 21h30 and was hungry, the KFC was around the corner I had to settle for but their service and food were pathetic.

Everything was such an amazing experience thank you so much I’m looking forward to do another booking , great service care ,they were so helpful ,assisting , informative ,easy to connect with people and I felt so valued thank you

I blame myself for not booking more than one night, I blame myself for not showing up on time to enjoy more and have some fun . I like their check in times and check out , it gives clients more time thank you Coastlands
