The staff was friendly and welcoming. Thanks to Siphesihle he was excellent in his service forever smiling and the security and reception. The rooms were comfortable and clean thanks

The room did not have working air-conditioning, it made horrible noise and had to switch it off plus the Aircon does not come out warm or hot air which was horrible as it was cold this past weekend especially after running one needs a warm room. If you can't supply that especially during winter season or comrades season then offer guest an electric blanket even if it's at an extra cost as we really need to keep warm before and after the run

From the beautiful reception right till the rooms it was so neat and clean. The room was spacious and bright. The breakfast area was clean and the food was absolutely delicious😋 with a lot of variety. I absolutely enjoyed being in the pool area as well. With the views of the sunset over the gateway mall.

The only down side to the hotel is the parking space available. We paid for the parking for the duration of our stay in advance but when we had to go out we came back and our parking space was taken by another guest. So we had to go park in the sister parking at the mall and walk all the way back to the hotel.

We spent one night for our anniversary. We got a complimentary room upgrade and the linen and pillows were supreme. In fact, we have never slept on such stunning pillows. We also cannot comment the staff enough. Expect a friendly welcome at reception, expect cleaners to hold the lift for you, and expect 5-star service from the waitron staff who can't do enough for you. I haven't felt so warmly welcomed in a hotel in a long time. We also enjoy the walking proximity to Gateway which is super convenient.

The pastries at breakfast were a bit stale but that's hardly anything to complain about.

The staff was friendly and the property is clean

We felt quite unsafe especially because anyone can walk into the property and take the lift to the rooms. There isn’t security at the basement parking door to verify if each visitor is eligible to enter the building. There isn’t a requirement inside the lift for special access to the rooms. Anyone can go lurking in the hallway for whatever reason. It’s quite concerning, especially because there’s children and families who visit the hotel. So safety protocols should be observed.

The staff was friendly especially the security guard he told us to be careful when taking pictures outside because sometimes they will people snatching the phones, i loved the location because i came to Gateway for shopping so it was very convenient for and my kids because we didn't have to go outside, the shopping centre was just in our doorstep, i will always come back for that.

I was not really happy about breakfast i feel like it was limited, not much food to choose from. on the last day of check out the eggs were too greasy unlike the first day they were okay. Another think i feel like the knife that was used to cut pineapple was the same knife that was used to cut the onions because i don''t like the onions so i could smell them real quick.

The location was perfect for our Comrades Marathon trip — it made getting to all our required spots easy and convenient. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. Although it's close to the mall, we didn’t experience any noise, which added to the comfort. Overall, a very lovely place and highly recommended.

The room was great overall, though the toilet paper holder was broken. Aside from that, everything was in good condition and we had a pleasant stay.

The room: Was well laid out. Went for a superior room. Had mini fridge, nice large double bed, shower, clean toilets, wardrobe, a safe, a bath and a desk. A balcony too, you could step out onto. Breakfast: A decent selection of options. Beef and chicken sausage options for those who don't eat pork. Eggs could be made by the chef in a variety of ways: scrambled, fried, boiled, poached, sunny side up. Location: Excellent. Very close to the mall. In fact, you could walk to the mall carpark via a connecting walkway from the hotel. Also within hotel, there was bar open till 10.30pm and conference room options in the hotel too. The staff: All very friend people. Nombusa, the housekeeping supervisor, and her staff were wonderfully understanding and were happy to come and clean your room, even very late, after you've had a lie in. Phumeza was a very welcoming hostess, had good energy and was happy to help deal with requests.

Toilets in the room: The flush power in my own room was very strong. I think it got blocked once or twice. The lift in the hotel wasn't very good. A lot of the time it wasn't recognising the room pass. Seemed to have a mind of its own. No on-site gym meant I had to find other options (Virgin); would be nice if they had some sort of corporate rate agreement with Virgin.

The breakfast was mouthwatering, the rooms are well taken care of, I mean they are super clean, the staff was very friendly. . My girlfriend and I didn't even have to drive to the mall. It's at the corner of the hotel. The pool at the roof top, man you gotta experience it yourself 🔥🔥🔥🔥 We will be coming back here again.

What I don't like is that you even have this box open, asking what I didn't like 😂cz I loved everything here. Please don't let this be an option. I loved everything here.

Great Staff. Very accommodating Helped me with another room when I could not access mine Also we're happy to shoe me another room in case I wanted to change.

The 1st room I was given had an issue with access, and I couldn't get in. The room had to be swopped. Some of the sockets didn't work on the walls. 2pin. They were very loose The hotel room needs some maintenance. Laminate floors are not cosy. My preference is carpet...

Oh the breakfast was delicious, almost everything in the room was amazing👌 the cleanliness 👌 house keeping ladies were doing an amazing Job, in fact all the staff members that i met from the reception when i was checking in till the morning of checking out there were all amazing.

The TV, most hotels in our days they have got smart TVs where you can access Netflix, YouTube, but in our room there was none of them, we had to go buy our mini speaker so that we can at least play some music, that was disappointing.
