The manager/host Dilani was amazing, very accommodating helping us with a number of different things including activity recommendations. She said to treat this place like your own home and not a hotel/guest house. The other staff were also very good responding to any requests. The property itself is nicely finished with a modern kitchen that guests are encouraged to use as they need and a couple of nice lounging areas. The rooms are well sized and comfortable, ensuite bathrooms are also nice finished and very clean. The breakfast provided was great, there was a choice of Sri Lankan or Continental. We chose Sri Lankan everyday, which consisted of daal, coconut sambol, seeni sambol, chicken curry and string hoppers or hoppers. Hotel is located perfectly just inside the Galle Fort which makes it ideal for walking to restaurants, shops and exploring the fort without the need for any transportation. I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Ideal for Couples and small families.

Nothing.

This villa is such a beautiful place! It's cosy and feels like our home during our 3 nights stay. There's ample common space like the lounge area to chill out and grass area for some exercise. Our twin room is just about enough space, so for guests who prefer roomier space, you might have to choose the other room options.

It's great that the villa is located along a quiet street, however you might hear next door guests while in the bathroom, and the a/c can be a bit loud for people who are sensitive to noise. It's not a big problem for us and the accomdation is really wonderful overall.

A luxurious stay We stayed at No 5 for 6 days and what luxury. Here we were greeted by dedicated attention from the moment we entered until we left the hotel. It was not just a hotel. It was a matter of the heart. A personal and smiling hospitality that just gave and gave. Breakfast was not just breakfast. It was curry with love, which was varied throughout the week according to proud Sri Lankan traditions. We have rarely, if ever before, felt so seen and welcomed. For example through an upgrade, the possibility of serving tea/coffee, on a hot day to be greeted with cold refreshments or when help was needed with the day's program (tuk tuk trips were cheaper, for example) No 5 is a very beautiful house and tastefully decorated. They radiate a calm, like the little oasis it is. For us it was pure luxury. A stay for body and soul.

Best Location, the interiors, very welcoming and warm staff. Clean property, beautifully designed. Lines were crisp and super comfortable bedding. Breakfast was very good. Omelette was cooked to perfection. One of the best I have had. Also we were offered ice tea & cold towels on arrival and was told that beverages throughout the stay were on the house. And we could also use the kitchen if we wanted to. The staff made us feel like home. One of the best stays. They also provide umbrellas to the guests. Very thoughtful hosts.

Everything was just perfect except that the shower drain was choked and could not be repaired. Which ended in clogging the entire bathroom. And that made the shower experience less enjoyable as we had to take quick showers. But apart from this everything was perfect.

Property was beautifully laid out. Even having an outdoor seating area in the garden. Which is not in the pictures. Very relaxing. We were greeted by what I would imagine was the manager, fantastic lady, very welcoming. The other staff that joined her in our welcoming were very friendly and they couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was on another level! Cooked to perfection. I can’t stress how amazing this property is. If you’re staying in this area, this place is a definite must!

The only thing I didn’t like would be the pressure of the water. But everything was clean tidy, and you could comfortably have a shower. But could definitely done with a water pump.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the middle of the fort, so you're walking distance to everything. The common areas are large and elegant. We were upgraded to a new room on our second night, and that room was lovely -- spacious, comfortable, and light. Wonderful sheets on the beds. Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Small, tidy garden with an enormous plumeria and langurs right next door. Would happily stay here again (in the upgraded room).

The room we originally booked was very tight -- it was tough to navigate, had no nightstand for the second bed, and lacked a place to hang things. You also couldn't open the windows or the louvres, so there was no natural light. Fortunately, they upgraded us on the second night. But I would not return to the standard twin room.

From the pre arrival stage, Dilani provided promptly assistance, ensuring a valued upgrade to the Superior room. The arrival experience was warm and welcoming. The property itself is stunning, with a beautifully designed interior that perfectly blends elegance and heritage of Galle Fort. The high wooden ceilings, intricate details, and tasteful decor create a serene and luxurious ambiance. Tharusha and Kavindu elevated the experience with their exceptional hospitality, ensuring it’s personalized. From start to finish, everything was seamless and heartfelt. A must visit place in Galle Fort.

The room is spacious with a mossie net over the bed which is needed. The hotel is a small boutique with just 3 rooms on offer, you enter into the kitchen, with a seating area, this is very spacious and beautiful. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the owner, Dilani who was absolutely lovely and was very keen to take notes of how to make our stay the best it could be. She gave us some great recommendations of places to visit and where to eat. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable with plump pillows. The bathroom is a wet room with a large shaped bath, shower with normal head and drencher and two sinks. Toiletries were provided with shampoo, conditioner and soap. We had an issue with the drain as it was not draining quick enough, but this was very quickly sorted by Dilani. So I would recommend if you have any issues during your stay, not to leave it and complain afterwards - make sure you say something and it will be attended to straight away. When we returned one afternoon her crew made us a coffee to enjoy while sitting on the balcony which was a nice touch. Breakfast is plentiful - made fresh in the morning and I thoroughly recommend the curds and treacle (which tastes much like honey). Very tasty with the muesli. The traditional sri lankan breakfast is lovely and I thoroughly recommend having this - it will set you up for the day. To find the hotel, it is directly opposite number 20 which is clearly identified. We booked on booking.com where it said payment could be taken at any time. But we ended up paying by card at the hotel as they didn’t take the payment over the website. I recommend having a revolut account paying in Sri Lanka as there are no fees and the exchange rate is superb - because we paid by card at the hotel it ended up being less than the advertised amount on the website. I have also used my revolut card for cash withdrawals in Sri Lanka and again there were no fees and the best exchange rate.

The hotel is very echoey which can not be helped. I recommend earplugs or you will hear the early risers - guests and peacocks. The water pressure is a bit low. But nothing to put me off the hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Galle fort area. Location is great with easy access to main streets… the rooms are large…clean… air conditioned and well maintained. This property has a common area with a lounge and dining area… very tastefully decorated with some beautiful pieces of art. The manager Samod and his colleague are super hospitable… they made breakfast for us everyday and with a lot of care and attention… also packed us breakfast on the day we had to leave early… it was a delight to stay at this property!

Everything! The staff were SO nice and helpful, they remembered me by name and welcomed me each time I returned to the hotel. Breakfast was phenomenal and the rooms were icy cold with that AC (which you can control) and the beds were extremely comfortable.

My ONLY suggestion would be to make the filtered water available for public use. This really wasn’t an issue because the staff refilled my water bottle whenever I asked, but just something that might make it easier for guests. :)
