A Perfect Stay Once Again! This was my second time staying at this charming villa, and once again, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. Their hospitality and helpful attitude truly enhance the overall experience. The room was exceptionally clean, with fresh linen and a spotless washroom – something I always appreciate. The bed was super comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, providing a cool and relaxing environment after a day of exploring. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the historic Galle Fort. It's within walking distance to many lovely shops, cafes, and key attractions, making it an ideal base for anyone wanting to experience the charm and culture of the area. Despite being so central, the villa remains peaceful and quiet. This place offers excellent value for money. Everything about the stay felt well thought out and taken care of, making it a truly hassle-free and pleasant experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to return again for a third visit! Zamran was super nice. The location was phenomenal, close to everything in the fort but only 5 minutes by tuktuk from the train station. It's a beautiful old building with a ron of charm amd character. The AC was crazy effective at cooling down the room. Beds were nice and firm, and the room was blessedly quiet, so I slept like a log every night. And the price was incredibly affordable, especially considering the world-class attentiveness of the staff, the facilities, and the location. Galle is a world treasure, amd there's nowhere there I'd rather stay than Muhsin Villa. I can't wait to go back.

A beautiful dutch style Villa run by Zahran and his family boast of 9 rooms which is well suited especially for a group bookings. The vibe, the heritage experience of the Villa is at premium level. Every room has wardrobe, study table, side table, good mattress, has attached neat bathrooms and have amenities like towel, shower gels, soap are provided. The location is the highlight of Galle with the entire street feels like dutch/ french colony with boutique cafes, shopping , spas and hotels. Few mtrs from the Villa is the ocean view and the landmark fort, lighthouse located nearby. Stayed here from Mar 21 to 23, 2025. Overall a peaceful stay and value for money!

Really well presented and comfortable room. The most comfortable bed I slept in during my entire trip to Sri Lanka. Great location, too - right in the middle of the fort.

There was some kind of double booking problem, meaning the room I booked wasn’t available. After being offered a lesser room for the same price (and of course declining that offer), they gave me a better room. So, all OK in the end.

Humidity in the rooms and corridors... Very cold feeling from the host family (appart from the young boy who made the check-in, very nice and helpful!!!)

My second visit to Muhsin, a simple but lovely hotel/pension inside the fort. Staff are great and have very good English. Bed was comfortable and the shower had a strong flow. Breakfast made to order with tea, fruit and a delicious omelette.

There was nothing I didn't like, but no TV or kettle in the room may put off some guests.

I had a very short stay and I definitely got everything I was looking for. I don't have anything to say in terms of dislike.

Muhsin Villa is a great budget, central spot in the middle of Galle Fort. The hosts are so kind - they live downstairs and have the guesthouse upstairs. The room was simple but had all of the things I needed for two nights. And the rooftop hang spot was very nice to spend time on during evening power outages. The location is perfect for finding good spots to eat, shops to explore, and for watching the sunset from the fort wall. And lastly, when I forgot my entire toiletries bag in my room, the hosts arranged to have it brought to Colombo the next day and I am so grateful for that! This is a business that really cares about their guests and I would definitely stay again if I go back to Galle!

The mosquito net didn't seem to fit the bed super well and the room was a little musty.
