Lovely hosts! Such a pleasure to be so welcomed. A very pleasant room adjoining a shared (between 2 rooms) lounge with fridge and tea-making facilities, and also a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. Very good WiFi, and fan plus air conditioning. Great location, in the heart of the old town of Galle Fort, a few dozen metres away from the walls and the various restaurants and shops.

Mattress a bit firm for us.

The hotel was well located more or less in the centre of Galle Forte. The room was clean and we had all we needed. The owners were pleasant and carried our bags up to the room and gave us a bottle of water on our arrival.

The pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable. The walls of our room were paper thin and you could hear the guests next door. Fortunately, after 11.00pm, during our three night stay, the other guests were quiet. Our room was at the top of the hotel in the attic which was reached by a steep spiral staircase which my wife found a little tricky to negotiate.

Amazing place right in the heart of Galle! The rooms are comfortable and cozy with everything you would need - towels, large water bottle, AC (that actually works!), hot water and private bathrooms. The family that runs the place is so sweet and hospitable. Hafeel drove me to the bus stop when I was leaving and made sure I was charged a local price for my ticket, and his wife told me exactly where I needed to go to buy a particular sambal I had been searching for. Very good people running a great place.

Walls are a bit thin so you can hear people talking a little, but I really only experienced this during the day when I was in my room! Everyone is very quiet by dinner time and I didn't hear a thing while sleeping.

The location was outstanding; right on Lighthouse street in the old town, steps from the historic sites. We loved the fact that we were staying with a local Sri Lankan family who knew the city so well, so much better than staying in a big hotel. The family looked after us so well; they gave us an entire upper floor area and there was lots of space. Although the facilities were simple, they represented excellent value for money, and the hospitality was 5 star. The hosts even packed us a breakfast for our flight home without us asking; such kindness and care was really touching.

The location is very good and next to the galle fort main area. Rooms are fine and comfortable. And the host is very friendly and helpful.

Not much information on room selection. We had to clime 2 stories for the room and I was not expecting that. The place mentioned about the parking but there is only 2 slots available and since we didn't ask for the parking when book the room, we had to park outside. But still it's safe as there were lot of vehicles like us.

Absolutely Amazing Place. We had everything we needed.. Our own kitchen. Perfect bathrooms. A beautiful family owns this massive hotel for generations. Right smack bang in the Fort. PERFECT. We are going to miss this place and we dont want to leave. 😪

Amazing location, good value for money

I messaged the host saying we will be checking in around 22:00 as our train got to Galle from Colombo was scheduled to arrive at that time. I asked if that was okay and the host only said “it’s late” I would have preferred if he’d given us a solution, eg. You would have to pay for late check in. Or - no it’s not possible.

The villa was perfectly located to walk around and visit the historical sites within the fort. The building itself was beautiful and seemed to be steeped in it's own rich history. The rooms were clean and comfortable, each connecting to a shared kitchen/living room area. The owner was incredibly accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. If I'm ever in Galle again, I will certainly stay here.

Right in the heart of the fort, so the location was great and the staff/family was amazing & so kind!

It’s an historical older building so the room was on the smaller side & also the bathroom. Beds weren’t very comfortable and the mosquito net didn’t really fit the size of the bed. It’s okay for 1-2 nights!

Location in the heart of the Fort. Friendly host dropped me at the station. Quiet & private. Cute room in the attic.

The photos online were difficult to work out. The 'family' room is at the top of an exterior spiral staircase. May be difficult with luggage. In the middle of 2 separate rooms is a semi outdoor living area with a sink /kettle. It is this that gives the sea view.
