The location was cozy, the property and the rooms were newly done maintaining the dutch architecture with wooden floors and very cozy layout. The staff were friendly and courteous, they went out of their way to help us with parking (which is understandably limited because its nestled within the fort) - Farhan and Zaith (I think) were really customer oriented. The A/C and Hot water was working well and the mini refrigerator inside the room was a pleasant surprise. Furniture was tasteful.

The breakfast could have been slightly better - but wasnt bad at all. It was freshly made. Propose offering guests an option the day before.

Lovely building in the heart of the old town (fort area), amongst all the cafes, shops and sights. Beautiful and comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms, all very tasteful. Comfortable beds and the comfiest pillows ever. Sri Lanka breakfast possible which was a bonus.

There seemed to be some problem with the electricity as it kept going off every few minutes, which meant the air con made a noise, rendering it useless for overnight use. There is a fan but it has only one speed - it's off, or exceptionally fast. I was able to sleep without either, but it's quite a hot place. The communal area is very small so it's not really a hanging out kind of place . But for a one-night stay, it was nice.

The staff were helpful and kind. Answered all questions and was always accommodating! It’s also in an amazing spot within Galle Fort - you can just walk to the lighthouse in a minute. I really liked the location. I got free breakfast and they accommodated my requests for different Sri Lankan breakfasts. The room and bathroom were very clean - comfortable. A/C was perfect. It was quiet which I appreciated. I had work and the WiFi worked perfect as well!

The bathroom could be a bit larger but it is still great. I would have liked to try to upstairs rooms - they were all full.

Overall, I was more satisfied than I expected. In particular, the colonial-era building was beautifully maintained, and the room key was reminiscent of those days, like something out of Harry Potter, so it was fun just looking at them. The Sri Lankan restaurant next to the hotel was also delicious, so I would recommend it as well.

Although it is a minor point, it would have been better if the ventilation in the bathroom was stronger so that the air would not be trapped.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean with comfortable beds and very helpful staff. Being located in the heart of Galle was brilliant to simply walk everywhere around the fort area and the hotel was surprisingly quiet most nights.

The wooden doors didn't close well making security to the tiny balcony a slight concern. While a novelty at first, the large keys were cumbersome to carry around and there was no safe provided in the rooms. TV never worked despite several requests to fix the issue.

I loved the design and location. Such a cute find! I had a fantastic breakfast and staff was very friendly and helpful. The air con worked great, the bed was comfy and I enjoyed being able to walk around old Galle.

Overall it was clean, however the bathroom still had spills and some hair from the previous guests. Please note though that I only booked very short notice (just before arriving in Galle by bus) so I didn't give them a chance for a check. Plus, I've seen a lot worse! Only real downside was the fact that there is no insulation. I had a room upstairs and there was only a layer of floorboards separating be from the people in the room below - who talked really loudly and constantly let their incoming calls ring. You can actually see the light through some floorboards. Then again, it all adds to the charme... I would stay again!

Farhan will greet you with a welcoming smile. Anything you need Farhan and his staff will accommodate. This is a very good central place to stay in the Old Fort region.It is a good valve for money place to stay.

Plumbing was a little noisy at times.

Small Rooms but well presented and clean. Fire alarm beeps a lot … sounds like Morse Code

Design is good, renovated historical building. Aircon works good. Location - sea and fort wall just around the corner, supermarket is nearby

As mentioned in other reviews - dust above on mosquito net. Though a/c in the room works good, it's a bit smelly, and in corridors and lobby it is very hot. Staff is polite but a bit.. weird. And room has high ceilings, but is too small, and TV hanger makes it difficult to pass around the bed

The two skylights in the property are covered by plastic which creates a bit of a heat island
