We stayed at Albert Guest with our family and had a fantastic experience. The location on Lighthouse Street is perfect – right in the center of Galle Fort, so we could easily walk to all the main sights, little shops, and restaurants. Despite being so central, the guesthouse was quiet and relaxing. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-kept, making it a very family-friendly stay. Breakfast was included and really delicious, with fresh local flavors and plenty to start the day. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and made us feel at home. It’s an ideal choice if you’re traveling with family and looking for good value, comfort, and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. We would happily return and recommend Albert Guest to anyone visiting Galle.

- The mother-daughter duo running it were super nice and had the best smiles - The location couldn't be better. Close to everything and still in a peaceful lane. - The breakfast spread was great. We finally got homemade hoppers here. - Old-school building. Nice balcony to look out and hang out in the rain. - Great value for money. - There was a separate side entrance. Could refill our bottles there too.

We stayed one night and the property was just perfect for us, given our tight schedule. The location is excellent and the rooms are quite comfortable and very clean. You are a short walk away from the lighthouse, market/shops, and cafes, tucked away in a quiet street. The family is incredibly sweet, kind and helpful - even offering to make us a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast before our early morning departure.

If I really had to nit-pick, I'd say the bathroom was a bit cramped for space and the shower could have been better, but that would matter more for a longer stay

It was a great privilege to stay in this beautiful old house. The room was beautiful, the mosquito nets were weighted, so this was the first night of our holiday we didn't get bitten. There were many beautiful pieces of antique furniture around the house all obviously very well loved, and our bathroom was very posh, the best of our time in Sri Lanka. The situation was perfect. We sat on the balcony overlooking a quiet street and watched the local children play and the adults go about their lives. We were very sad that our timetable did not allow us to stay longer. We would like especially to thank the family for the tasty breakfast they packed for us to take on our early train. We would highly recommend Albert Guest accommodation Thank you

My stay at this accommodation was truly pleasant. The room provided one of the best hot showers I experienced during my entire stay in Sri Lanka, adding a touch of luxury to my visit. What stood out even more was the thoughtful inclusion of weighted mosquito nets, which felt more protective compared to other places. The net remained undisturbed by the air conditioning, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The location was excellent, centrally situated with easy access to lovely restaurants and cafes, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable visit. The staff was uncomplicated and accommodating, making the overall experience hassle-free. Nights were quiet, allowing for a restful sleep.

The accommodation was like a guest house. The folks who own the building live on the ground floor and they are a lovely family. They were super nice to us and asked us what we wanted for breakfast every morning. They prepared home-cooked meals for us that were very tasty. The room was also clean, and the BNB is inside Galle Fort so everything was at a walkable distance.

The AC wasn't fully effective and could be better because it was extremely hot in Galle. The bathroom was sanitary but it could use some deep cleaning for sure.

We loved our stay at Albert Guest. The lady and her daughter who run it are so warm and kind. They made us delicious breakfasts both mornings and allowed us to do our laundry for a small charge. This was greatly appreciated. The room was large and comfortable with a great bathroom and a balcony which we enjoyed. The location could not be better as it is 2 minutes to the lighthouse, beach and to walk the ramparts. We had a fabulous time in Galle and will recommend it to anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Pedlar’s Inn restaurant as well. Thank you

I liked the amenities in the room...hot and cold water, also located inside the fort and close to all major attractions, excellent service provided by the staff which is a family business. We had a great Western breakfast as well and the room was very clean and comfortable.

The location is right in the heart of the Galle old Dutch fort very close to the lighthouse and wall sunset views. Breakfast is good, typical Sri Lankan style. Family run by mother and daughter, very unobtrusive but friendly and helpful.

Air con was impossible to control and very loud. I woke every couple of hours to turn it off and then back on as Galle is very hot. It’s an old house but has character and perfect for a couple of nights if you want to save a few rupees.
