Ocean Heights was simply a delightful place to spend a couple of days during our 25th wedding anniversary trip. The room was pleasant and impeccably decorated. It had great amenities. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great. Breakfast was by order and had many offering, cooked to order. Sunsets, a short walk from the house, were simply breathtaking! There were three sky lights in the room, which offered stunning views of the stars at night. I can not say enough good things about this B & B; would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Only downside, and this is being nitpicky - there were several bathroom amenities but no body wash. Not a big deal, simply surprised, with so many other amenities,

We liked absolutely everything! After spending 6 weeks traveling the UK, & staying in many B & B's, we simply couldn't fault it Ocean Heights. Every need was thought of and necessitated to well in advance of our arrival, from the to the very personalized greeting on arrival to the unexpected cotton tips in the bathroom- The receiving of the local tips on what we'd be interest in doing while on our very short stay at Ocean Heights was a bonus too. Karen is n excellent listener & a true hospitality professional - as well as running this fabulous business & a large family with her husband she actually takes the small amount of time to have a quick chat & find out something about her guests.

No firewood was supplied for the bon fire we would have had if the local council had approved this! He He... (tongue severely in cheek)

We were greeted warmly by Karen and introduced to our spacious and well appointed rooms. Ocean Heights B&B is about 10 minutes by car to Sligo town and sits right on the waters edge of the Atlantic ocean. The views are stunning! Our rooms and ensuite were very comfortable and stocked with everything one could need. Breakfast was delicious and much appreciated as we started off our day. We would recommend Ocean Heights B&B for those looking for something different than downtown accommodations and would certainly stay again.

The Ocean Heights B&B is an extremely homey and welcoming place - mainly because of Karen. She is a totally warm person who just exudes kindness and hospitality. And maybe best of all, her breakfasts are to die for - the best we had on our entire 2 week trip - and lovely views of the sea while you enjoy the great food. She offers various choices which is very advantageous and the eggs come from her own chickens!! EVERYTHING that we had over our 3 days there was delicious. The Ocean View is situated very close to the sea about 20 minutes west of Sligo - so the location is not super convenient if you are a city person. However, we chose it BECAUSE it was a bit more rural. The whole place has lovely decorating touches which are Karen's, we are sure - lots of attention to detail in all aspects of the accommodations (including an extensive listing of places to see and things to do in a book in our room). We had originally reserved an upstairs, sea view room but contacted Karen and asked to be moved downstairs because my wife, Marcia, injured herself in a fall while on our trip. The downstairs room was very cozy and comfortable and still had a view of the water. We found out after we got back to the US that Marcia had a fractured bone in her right hip the entire time!! An example of Karen's attention to detail was that she noticed that Marcia had gotten a stain on the sleeve of her blouse and Karen took it and washed it for her while we were there. By the time we left, we felt like we were truly leaving a good friend behind!! We wholeheartedly recommend the Ocean Heights B&B as a base of operations for northwest Ireland.

First of all if you are travelling to Sligo from Cork or any area 4 hours away from this place, it is better to leave the day before - at around noon. Keep in mind, the check-in in this place is at 4 p.m. The host was very hospitable and attentive to detail. The house is organized, and quiet and has beautiful decorations. It's spotless. We brought food and she heated it for us - she let us eat in the dining area it was evening time. We were exhausted with the trip to Sligo, so her assistance was much appreciated. The host was also knowledgeable about the place. We are tourists in Sligo so we had to ask where we could buy special items. The house is like a home away from home. The Irish breakfast she prepared was perfect, with the right amount, taste, and hotness of food. Everything was excellent.

This was a lovely place! Room was big and well appointed. Everything was thought of and it was very quiet and comfortable. Bed was great! Tea available in the room and bathroom had hotel quality toiletries. Breakfast was wonderful with great choices and plenty to eat. Location is in the country so a short drive for dinner but the views are well worth it! Very relaxing!

Karen has a beautiful B&B overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. She is a lovely host, offering spacious rooms that are extremely clean. In the room, she had a binder containing information about the area we found very helpful. A great bonus, Karen! The breakfasts were delicious, and it gave a kickstart to our day. You have a gem! Thank you for such a great stay!

Karen has thought of everything one could need. She was easy to communicate with via the Booking app. She gave us a recommendation for dinner when we arrived that was perfect. Our room had amazing views and was so cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was homeade and made to order. Karen is a wonderful host and we enjoyed visiting with her.

Karen was really welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. The house is in a glorious location with beautiful views of the ocean and countryside. The room was really comfortable, with lots of little extras provided and everywhere was spotlessly clean. A delicious breakfast was provided everyday, with a wide variety of items to choose from and plenty of tea, coffee and delicious homemade bread too.

From the moment we arrived the hosts were welcoming and warm. This beautifully appointed B&B was so clean and exceptionally decorated. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, one with a lovely ocean view. We enjoyed waling along the coastline and admiring the natural beauty of the area. The breakfast was delicious and just what we needed.

Could not fault the property or hosts, some travelers may find the location a little isolated, but for us it was perfect. No more than a 15 minute drive to lovely shops and restaurants.
