The hotel group Pestana runs the hotel. Staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. Decor is old-timey but tasteful. Rooms are spacious but spare. Beds and pillows were comfy. We had a fine view of the cathedral. Bath was old fashioned with the shower in a claw tub. Good water pressure and water heated quickly. Nowhere to store toiletries except on the wide pedestal sink. Breakfast (included) was plentiful. Tables arranged around a cloistered courtyard with lime trees. Location was excellent, next to all the important sights.

The location is phenomenal! I really enjoy the concept, and I absolutely loved the breakfast! It has a lot of local cheeses and meats, as well as fruits. We went in December, so it was quite cold, but when we entered the hotel, there was a sitting area by the fireplace which me and my partner really enjoyed sitting and having a drink.

Even though I loved the concept, our room smelled of humidity as well as there were stains on the carpet floor. So I was happy to bring my flip flops to walk around.

Nice room but we were surprise it was superior as most others we passed seemed the same. Only water on day one why when you pay the same rate per day. More than in Lisbon. Easy to walk from to town. Good breakfast. I was unwell with a bad throat and so the waiter got me hot water and lemon and honey. very kind.

Parking was expensive. I think we had a basic room for the price of a superior as it seemed small with one half wardrobe full of a fridge blanket and safe. We should have asked about the room.

Breakfast was wonderful. Staff were extremely helpful.

This is a convent converted to a hotel so the rooms are very small. I should have expected this but found it a bit frustrating that there wasnt even a chair to sit on in the rooms. Also all the showers are old tall sided bath tubs. They are hard to climb in and out of for an older person.

Amazingly historic and elegant surroundings. The rooms were small, as might be expected for monastic cells, but comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed the breakfasts and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious. The location was perfect, walking distance for everything you would want to see in Évora and commanded a great view of the city.

Location could not have been better. Literally in the shadow of the Roman ruins with a nice view of the city and an easy walk to restaurants. The hotel itself is extremely well preserved and you can tell it used to be a monestary.

We were traveling with a toddler, so the room was on the smaller side, but that is more specific to us. No issues with the facilities or staff at all.

The location is unbeatable. In the center of Evora next to restaurants and shops, the Roman ruins and the main cathedral. Staff were great. Enjoyed the fact that this hotel was an old convent / monastery so felt like we were stepping back in time… Very special for that reason. Breakfast was good. Parking available but we were there off season so had a space in their parking facility.

Location was perfect. The restaurant breakfast was plentiful, and we had one dinner in the restaurant that was very good.

The shower / tub set up was hard to maneuver for an over sixty-five age couple.

location and history

room could have been historically more appropriate-also the front desk attendant when asked to make a reservation at a nearby restaurant that we requested she informed us that it was not available and steered us to a choice of hers- we subsequently called the restaurant ourselves and had no trouble getting a seat- that is just not acceptable behavior for someone who is the front line of your establishment.

Beautifully renovated convent, you’ll stay in a unique setting in the middle of town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Everything was very clean. The pool area was well maintained and relaxing.

The bed was small and matras was too hard for our liking.
