A variety of food available for breakfast. Good quality coffee. Good location if you don’t want to be right in the centre of Portimao. Easy walk to the beach. We really liked the automatic shutters on the window and were great to block out the morning sunlight.

The key card to the door sometimes did not work. We were told that if the card was next to a mobile phone then it wiped the information but this did not always appear to be the case. Kettle along with selection of teas and coffees arrived midway through our stay. But there was no milk.

It is an excellent location for a relaxing quiet holiday. The gardens and pool area are very well maintained. The staff - Alfonso, Pedro and Debora are all very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful.

Parking within the grounds is very limited and each space requires careful manoeuvring. On the other hand there is plenty of safe free parking nearby outside the grounds so it should not be a serious problem. We would have appreciated a kettle in our room.

From start to finish this has been our favourite holiday. Hotel is immaculate, staff are so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is just fantastic, great selection of food to suit everyone. You can also have breakfast outside by the pool. Pool and seating area are very nice. Bedroom has everything you need for a great nights sleep. Bed very comfy. Our bathroom had a bath which I love. Small balcony but enough to sit out and enjoy a drink at night.

Could do with more hangers in wardrobe. Only has one double socket in room. Sometimes our card would not open door, so we had to go to reception to reprogramme it again.

The staff was very helpful (specially when my wife was feeling sick - she had food poisoning). Daria was really funny, specially because she didn't know how to make a Caipirinha for my wife (maybe she needs a bit of training in how to make drinks). The location is very good, the hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable.

There was only 2 electric plugs away from the bed, so when we wanted to charge our mobiles and iPad, they had to stay on the floor away from the bed (room 105). The plugs should be near the bed or at least a small piece of furniture should be near the plugs so things are not on the floor while charging. The shower hasn't any soap dispenser/holder. I wasn't very happy when I discover that for a last minute reservation we could have stayed at the NH at the Marina for extra 20 €. At Alcaide we paid 575,21 € for 4 nights so I thought in the end, although a good experience, it was a bit overpriced.

Impeccably clean. Discrete and friendly staff. Modern spacious room with locally made toiletries. Simple but good breakfast. A really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend :)

Really loved the vibe of the hotel—super pleasant and welcoming. Our room was cleaned every day, which made things feel extra comfy. The breakfast was honestly amazing! We asked for gluten free bread and they happily sorted it for us. No halal options, but there were loads of tasty vegetarian options to pick from.

Only 9 parking spaces are available in-house but plenty of spaces available on the road if didn’t get any.

Rooms and hotel were spotlessly clean. Pool is a good size and never overly busy. Hotel is in a great location, close to beaches, restaurants, bars and bus stops. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The staff are fabulous! Always so friendly and helpful and always cheerful. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and we’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended!!

It would be nice if there were tea/coffee facilities in the room and the bar snacks could be a bit more reasonably priced, but couldn’t fault anything else.

We loved the hotel very clean bright room overlooking lots of trees.Gorgeous pool area.Staff very friendly and speak great English.Breakfast buffet really nice.Make sure you try the restaurant called patrimonriamona.Doesnt look appealing but the food is sensational and cheap and so are the beers in happy hour.Wouldnt rate any of the others.Only 300mtr walk to the beach under an under pass.Supermarket nearby.

Some restaurants around the area but very quiet compared to Praia Rocha etc.

Everything was great. The pool area was clean. Our room was on the first floor but still quiet and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is close to the beach and restaurants. The hotel staff are very friendly and kind! They held our bags for us after check out which was great.

After a long travel journey, our room wasn't ready at check-in time. The staff were very kind and apologetic but could have given us something (like one free breakfast or upgraded room) to make up for it.

Nice rooms with balcony, good breakfast by the pool, parking, not far away from the beach, some stores and restaurants are just next door, a nice place to stay.

A bit thin walls (noisy neighbours) and the annoying flashing light of the fire alarm on the room ceiling just above the bed.
