It's really close to everything in the town. The beach is about 100m away and there are loads of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. The pool area was nice and quiet. Apartment was big enough for the two of us. The equipment was basic, but just enough to deal with simple breakfasts. The little supermarket across the road was useful for picking up supplies for the apartment and drinks around the pool.

There is no on-site snack bar or anything like that. The pizza and burger places next to it didn't seem to be doing much while we were there, so any drinks or snacks we had around the pool came from the supermarket. There wasn't much of an atmosphere, but I now realise it was a block that also housed permanent residents as well as tourists, so the complex had a residential kind of vibe. Not a massive problem as there are plenty of bars just up the road. The 'grass' next to the pool is really sharp and spikey - don't walk on it in bare feet! The pool area had plenty of sunbeds, but it would have been nice if there were some tables and chairs too, so people could sit up rather than always being forced to lie down or sit on a low sunbed.

I had a lovely studio apartment overlooking the sea. It was spacious and well presented. The bed was very comfortable. It's in a great location and the bus stop is nearby. I booked for 2 nights. Originally I had booked a studio for 2 weeks with a private host through Bookings.com in the same hotel. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable so after one week I cancelled that booking at a cost and changed to this lovely studio. **I would definitely recommend this hotel for comfort , location and value !

I wish I had booked this studio first it would have been a much nicer and more comfortable experience.

Perfect location! Lovely and clean and excellent value for money. We had a studio which had a full kitchen (helpful for the fridge). Balcony with chairs and table and airer to dry clothes. Staff were extremely helpful.

Had to pay €20 deposit to access pool. Complete understand why and would have done this if we were staying for longer but only realised later on through our trip. Also had to pay for wifi in the room if we needed it. Again, would have done this if staying for longer. The balcony was always in the shade! Not sure if that was just where our room was but they all seemed to be in the shade through the day! Obviously can’t be helped but just something to consider if you are wanting the sun on the balcony.

The hotel is in a wonderful location right next to Praia Rocha and this was the main reason we booked it. It offers great value for money- the parking is nearby and the hotel offers both kids and adults swimming pool with a lovely garden. The apartment we booked was spacious with a very well equipped kitchen and very nice, large balcony.

The sofa wasn't very comfy and the pillows could have been better. The reception has an emergency number to reach on but that's a bit strange since it's a huge hotel. The hotel says wifi's included but you actually need to pay it per day at reception. It's not a big sum (1.5 euro/day) but there should be a disclaimer around this or better yet, just include it in the room price. The internet also didn't quite measure up to the expectations as it was quite slow and kept disconnecting. The swimming pool's schedule could be extended to help guests make more out of the time spent there (it's only till 7 pm).

The location is excellent. Less than five minutes from the beach, shops, and restaurants. Apartment had a balcony, full kitchen and the beds were comfortable. The pool area was nice, but might get crowded in high season.

The room decoration was dated and a bit tired. The bedside lamp didn't work, the balcony chairs were a bit dodgy, I did worry one might give way. The water in the shower didn't stay hot very long. We had to ask how to access the pool as we weren't given the necessary swipe when we checked in. (20 euro deposit needed to secure the card)

Myself and my partner stayed in this beautiful hotel for 5 nights in September. Location is amazing. Right next to the beach and 2 mins away from strip but very quiet where we were staying. The rooms were spacious and clean. Lively reception staff. Also straight across the road from a supermarket with fresh bakery which was perfect. The pool was a great size also with loads of comfy beds. I would totally recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again.🥰

Stayed here a few times now and each time has been excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stays. Spacious apartments, with everything you need.

The only downside, the beds. They are uncomfortable. I suffer with a bad back, so it’s not ideal. You don’t get to choose/pay extra for a sea view room which is a shame, however this time we did get one.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The location is amazing! The property is located right on the beach front, and on the main strip with all the bars, restaurants and shops. We stayed in a studio room and it was huge. Very spacious and very clean. It was a little outdated, but we didn't mind as we saw this in previous reviews prior to booking, and we didn't spend much time in our room. There is free parking on the street outside the hotel, or you can pay a refundable €40 to park your car in a private car park. This is the option we chose as the street gets very busy, especially on weekends, and we did not want our rental to get damaged. There is a supermarket directly across from the hotel. There is also a Spar around the corner, and multiple larger supermarkets such as Lidl + Continente (Portuguese Walmart) a short drive from the property. The hotel is accessible, with ramps and elevators. The pros for this property far outweigh the cons.

Our room was only cleaned once during our 6 night stay (however we did frequently receive fresh towels). The pillows in the room could do with being replaced. Very lumpy and uncomfortable. The pool is not heated and is freezing, making it too cold to swim in. We did not spend much time by the pool due to this, although we would have loved a few hours in the pool. The above would not stop me from booking this property again in the future though!

We first came to Praia da Rocha back in 1986, and wanted to see how it had changed. Huge apartment with great sea view (room no 1406). Free off street parking, although we had to leave a €40 deposit for the gate-opener - minor problem when we don't usually use cash, but ATM across road, together with supermarket. 5 minute walk to beach steps and numerous restaurants. Two pools, although we preferred to spend our time on the beach and in the sea. Hair-drier & iron available at reception. Will be coming back.

Bit of a creaky headboard - that's all...

Superb apartment on the 22nd floor with commanding views on two aspects. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies makes this a very welcoming and useful apartment within Jardims da Rocha....one to be bookmarked for future visits!! On our last morning we sat on the Balcony overlooking Praia Dá Rocha and watching a pod of Dolphins playing just a few hundred yards offshore.

The apartment is on the 22nd floor so at peak times we found that we could be waiting over 5 minutes to get the lift down to the ground floor. No huge biggy just a little more inconvenient.
