Bela Vista is truly a gem. There's nothing not to love here. It took us a little under 3 hours to get there from Lisbon airport, which was a breeze. The rooms were a decent size, but the view was absolutely stunning. There really isn't much reason to leave the hotel, and here's why. On the first night, we dined at the Michelin-starred restaurant, which was an experience in itself. Don't be discouraged by the serving sizes—trust me, you'll be full by the end of the meal. We chose the wine pairing from Portugal, which was amazing. Each dish was sensational. On the second day, we decided to rent a boat with Thalassa Yachts on the recommendation of the hotel concierge. We were not disappointed. We spent $700 on a stunning, beautiful yacht for a half-day, complete with wine and cheese! Highly recommend this—it is very much worth it. We heard that further down the coast, the pricing was three times this. For dinner on the third day, we tried to get into Reis de Praias Restaurant, also known as King of the Beach, but we couldn’t get a reservation. It's important to book early, as the view here is stunning, and it seems you can spend the day there. We ended up at Ferragudo Terrace, which was excellent! We also wanted a high-end luxury nightclub experience for adults 30+, so we recommend YOU, which was about a 45-minute drive but worth it. They had some very well-known DJs and an elevated crowd. Last but not least, the food at Bela Vista's pool and dining (not Michelin) was delightful. We loved the codfish cakes—they were so good that we ordered them everywhere else we went, but none compared to Bela Vista's. For dinner, the sea bass in salt crust was outstanding. That's all I have for this amazing trip!

Their greeting procedure was detailed and welcoming. The room was ready early and really comfortable. Whether standard or not, I had requested that a top sheet be available on the bed and it was! The curtained cupboard was spacious if difficult to use. The curtain did not withdraw fully and the perspex curtain puller hung in the middle of the shelving area. Both were in the way. The public areas were a highlight. There were private areas for guests to enjoy the pool, the beachscape and sea views.

The range at breakfast was limited, especially beyond the albeit generous continental breakfast offerings.

Lovely sense of tradition. Room, breakfast and staff were all excellent. Easy access to local cafe's and restaurants. Good access to beach.

Minor irritants were : 1) Muzak around the pool. Hotels should realise that these days people who want to listen to music around a pool will take their own ear pods. No-one wants to be force-fed somebody else's music choice. 2) Very noisy party nearby kept us awake one night into the early hours, but nothing hotel can do about that.

It’s in a beautiful setting, with incredible views of the ocean and surrounding beaches. The building interior design is thoughtfully curated and gives you a sense of peace, tranquility, and tasteful luxury. The hotel never feels crowded, and above all the staff’s attention to detail and general quality of service is unrivalled! It was a truly magical experience in every aspect of the stay

Nothing. Absolutely nothing! Everything was perfect

I loved the attention to detail. A real 5 star experience. Bags were handled as soon as we arrived. Hot towels and wine during checkin wait. Bags already in room after checkin. Rooms were cleaned and organised twice a day. Breakfast was great. The spa and massage was amazing. The staff were so nice and helpful.

The spa was not well equipped with products to use post exceptional massage! No shower gel, conditioner nor body lotion. Decided to walk in robe to room to shower and moisturize properly.

Our stay was very nice in this hotel. We booked a blue room in the old building and we were upgraded with a beautiful room with a sea view. It was very calm and relaxing. The products in the bathroom are Guerlain and smell amazing ! The food at the bar and breakfast was really good. The hotel smells good and very clean. The principal building is majestic I highly recommend to book a room there.

Just the location it's very turistic but it's ok if you come out of summer period. And the beach is beautiful !

A new benchmark, probably the finest place we have ever stayed in. And we have been fortunate to travel. The service we received the minute we got in was exceptional. The restaurant was amazing, and the Michelin starred restaurant even more incredible the breakfast was a site to behold .. All the stuff are exceptionally special, in the service they give., nothing is too much trouble. . Ine^s gave us a detailed tour of the building, it was an amazing experience, the knowledge was incredible. It was an amazing incredible stay, and we look forward to staying again.
