Repairs need to be made to freshen the building/rooms up. Ceilings are spotted in the bathroom tub area, walls need painted in the rooms, and the new door lock dead bolt was incredibly hard to lock. Breakfast items need to be a better quality. This has drastically declined since the property was sold several years ago. Things are done much cheaper and the soaps and lotions are something we will not even use due to poor quality. Stop being cheap. People notice this and start looking to stay at other places. Put a microwave back in all the rooms.

The Breakfast was good! A DYI type of breakfast bar, with cereal, waffles, bread for toast, milk, orange juice, coffee, and plenty of extra breakfast stuff! Waffle machine to make your on waffles, and they were easy to make and tasted good! One of the best, cleanliest, and cheapest places to stay around Mount Airy! I've stayed there a few times and it's always been clean, and the owners are always nice and helpful! I highly recommend this place! P.S. don't let the nearby truck stop affect you staying choice, I have never heard any noise from the trucks since I've been staying there! The place sits on top of a hill which I'm sure helps! Nothing not to like about this place! A good and reasonably priced place to stay!

We have stayed multiple times over the years. Staff is exceedingly courteous and kind. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is offered and ample choices. It's a good place for families. The pool is very clean. Location is favorable for day trip activities.

It would be nice if there was a comfortable chair to sit in in the rooms, and a microwave would be helpful. I still feel it's a good place to stay, it's not luxury but it's clean, comfortable, affordable, and the staff are always very, very nice. That's important to me.

I didn't like the fact that we were not allowed to touch anything. I even felt guilty getting out of my seat to get a banana. The attendant had to do everything, even to make and serve the waffle. (Took awhile since others wanted one too). I'd much rather be able to walk around and see what is available...get my own seconds without being embarrassed asking for them, etc. Covid is no longer a big issue! This was the only place on our whole vacation that operated like this.

We have stayed here several times in the past. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Tv selection and channels are above average. The hotel is in a convenient location. There is a-lot of good food with in a reasonable drive . Local restaurants not so much. It's worth the drive east to Mount Ary. We enjoyed the Andy Griffin Museum. The people running the Hotel are nice. The Price is fair and reasonable.

The food is good but not for diabetics too many carbs, and sweets. The waffles are good and you can make them fresh . There used to be fresh fruit, ad hard boiled eggs, but no longer. Mostly breads and cereal, yogurt. Our room was pleasant but the lamps on either side of the-bed worked . The Price is reasonable, so I would stay here again . The pillows either need more or a etter quality.

Breakfast was very good. Staff kept everything replenished and kept the serving area spotless. The breakfast bar included hard-boiled eggs, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal (including oatmeal), hot biscuits and gravy, and Pop Tarts (the only time I have ever seen them on a breakfast bar). The room was clean and tidy, the heating kept the room comfortable on a cold night, and there was plenty of hot water for my shower.

One minor issue: There were dispensers of coffee and of hot water (so you could make your own tea or instant oatmeal), but the hot water was not very hot. That's not a big issue, though, because you could use the microwave for heating whatever you wanted. One other observation (and this is NOT a complaint, just a comment): The only eggs on the breakfast bar were hard-boiled. If you like scrambled eggs for breakfast, you might be a little disappointed; but remember, there were plenty of other choices.

We have stayed here on our return home from visiting family upstate NY about 6 times now. We call this the scenic route. We just need a room for the night to continue heading home to FL. Always clean. Comfortable beds. Clean bathroom. Perfect for a nights rest. Quick on off Rt 77. Decent breakfast to get you back on the road. A++ for us. We have only used it for overnite stays. It does have a lively outdoor pool. Amenities are all there.

There is nothing not to like. Price is reasonable. I look for high ratings low cost because we are not looking for a long stay. No in room microwave.

We chose this for the price and location. We will chose this again for the same reasons and also because it was so clean and the staff were so friendly & kind. The kitchen area ran out of milk while we were having breakfast. The young man went out of his way to get milk for us. We appreciated his kindness.

When we reserved the room, it asked if we wanted a lower or upper room. We asked for lower but when we got there, got an upper room without an explanation. We are healthy enough to go upstairs, and so we didn't bother with asking for a lower, but would have preferred a lower one if it was available.

I believe this is the fifth time we stayed at Bryson. We travel from our children's home in upstate NY and Bryson/MT Airy area is about half way back to our home in FL. We basically are just stopping for the night so economically it is perfect for us. But for the price it also has a high rating which is such a bonus. One day we will take more time to explore the beautiful area and will use Bryson as our home port. It is so easy to get on and off the highway from this location. It is clean, quiet and secure. Everything we need. And a decent self help breakfast is included along with 24 hour coffee, or hot water for tea or hot chocolate It's all we want for a comfortable night's rest.

All is good for us. No complaints.
