My first Question on my trip was ‘Is there a place to safely store my bycycle’ and here we had a firm yes. The lady who met me at the end of a rainy day was very welcoming and kindly allowed me to park up in the reception room. I couldn’t have wished for a more generous welcome. We muddled through my lack of German via Google translate. A nice room with all the facilities one would expect and a great view over rooftops to the town and valley beyond.. Breakfast? Well I can only describe this as sumptuous. A feast that set me up for a day's cycle ride. A generous welcome. A charming hotel. I was made to feel at home. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

I loved the location and value of this hotel! I only paid maybe $90 for one night (breakfast buffet cost about $15). The hotel is right in the heart of Bacharach. I appreciated that they took credit card since most of the city does not. It's also very close to the train station . It was also literally just down the street from the K-D ferry port. The room was comfortable and clean with respect to what I paid for. Some reviews will say the hotel is right by the train tracks, but honestly I slept just fine, the train did not keep me up. The lady at the desk was so helpful! She didn't speak English, but she was so dedicated to ensuring I was comfortable regardless and patient with me while I learned how to use their unique door locking system.

I wish there was AC, the room got a little hot. Breakfast could have been better, but it was fine.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was perfect. It's at the centre of the town. We had a big room at the 3rd floor with veranda overlooking the parts of the churches, parts of the mountain and the high street. The room was clean, with large comfortable bed and great ambience. Hotelier Maria was very nice, respectful and accommodating.

Everything was great in this hotel. Just a little suggestion that the hotel to provide a little coffee/tea corner in the room with kettle, cups and spoon and spare pillow for each guest.

The place was clean, the staff were so friendly. I thought it was an excellent value. The breakfast was good and they were attentive to what guests selected. The beds were comfortable. Trains were a little loud with the windows open at night, but I know it was less so for us than other places in town. We all loved it and would go back again. It was semi updated, but it is small town Europe and I wasn’t expecting or looking for the ultra modern hotel experience. We loved it.

The location is unbeatable. Smack in the middle of the prettiest village of the Romantic Rhine Valley. The top floor "suite" is quite big and comfortable. The manager helped with the bags and provided water. Price was very good for the area.

As others pointed out, stairs and more stairs. We were at the top, so we only came down when we were actually going out for good. The bathroom has no door, only a curtain. Light enters very early in the morning, no blackouts, and some things could be added, like an electric kettle to make coffee and not depend on the town's bakery.

The location is perfect, we could not have asked for a better spot to stay, everything is around you and has such charm, The hotel was quiet and has old school character which we really enjoyed, such things as the low lighting and old stairs that makes a small noise, it is a great little time capsule! The staff are super friendly and breakfast was perfect, please take the time to enjoy the breakfast room with your coffee before taking in the beautiful town, time slows down a bit and its certainly great!

Late in the evening/night cars that pass by the hotel you can hear coming from a long way off due to the cobblestone roads, People in the street that are talking does eco up through the streets, this is all expected really in such a place of small streets, but worth a mention for people who are light sleepers!

Everything was great, lovely hosts were so welcoming & helpful, using google translate to communicate as we don’t speak German. Our host even carried our heavy suitcases upstairs 2 flights to our spacious room with a view. Due to our train departure next morning, they even prepared breakfast early for us, a lovely spread indeed! Wish we could have stayed longer, Bacharach is so beautiful & people very friendly.

The family room was basically a full apartment, with 3 bed rooms, a living room, a rudimentary kitchen and a bathroom. The location is in walking distance of the station and in the centre of town. The staff was very friendly as well.

It was sometimes difficult to reach staff. When checking in, there was nobody to be found, and calling the phone gave no answer, but someone showed up a couple of minutes later. When checking out a similar thing happened. It can get quite warm inside the rooms on hot summer days.

Bacharach seems little known to US and UK tourists, but is a gem of a medieval town on the banks of the Rhine. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere of the town feels like stepping back 500 years. The Hotel is central and can't be faulted for the quality of the rooms and breakfast. There are nice considerate touches like books left out for guests. If you are thinking of visiting the Rhineland, definitely consider this hotel and town.

This was the most charming stay in Bacharach. It is right in the center of the small town, a few minutes walk from the train station. The owners are very nice and allowed us to store our bags for a few hours after check-out. The room was great, so spacious and clean with plenty of seating and a comfortable bed.
