Good property in a great location, Ideal for resting overnight

No air con or fan in room, which was unfortunate as the room was warm, not ideal when your trying to cope with ongoing hospital treatments.

The room was clean and attractive. There was a fridge in the room, ironing board, iron and hair dryer, which we didn't use but could be really useful. The coffee/tea tray was welcome. There were 2 beds made up as a super king bed and a separate single bed to the other side of the room. Because of the en suite wall by the super king bed, it was possible to have a little privacy while reading or resting on either bed. Good value and accessible to city centre for food.

The access was via metal steps from the car park - Not through the hotel. I don't think I would have liked this if travelling alone and if it was dark. We stayed in the summer.

Everything perfect apart from ventilation issue. Right in the centre of town and near railway station for trips to the lake district. I liked the rustic tile bathroom decor...very cheerful. The decor of bedroom was plain but pleasant. Hanging space excellent. The room felt very clean, there was a smell of cleaning materials, perhaps too strong!!

A bottle of drinking water would have been nice as the tap water tasted slightly soapy?? A note explaining how to open the window would have also been helpful; I was unable to open the secondary glazing and although next morning the staff said they would have explained how to do it, it wasn't clear that the window was possible to open - I thought it was fixed glazing to cut out street noise. It would have been nice to have a hard chair made of wood in the room to put my things on, upholstery is more difficult to keep clean. Ditto the upholstered headboard, I would have preferred a wooden headboard. Pile carpet a bit too shaggy, I again felt it might be difficult to keep clean, although it looked very clean.

Nice cosy room, in good location, it was clean and had everything needed. The room has nice features, like the beams. It was a great size. I was a solo traveller and I felt this was a perfect hotel. The staff were helpful and check in was easy. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend to others.

Some work could be done on the fixtures in the bathroom. The toilet roll holder was not attached and the shower doors need a bit of attention, however these were very minor issues and I wouldn’t let this detract from overall feel and qualify of room.

The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped and a very short walk from the high street. It was the perfect base for a weekend away in Lancaster exploring the fantastic independent shops and the historic Castle quarter.

My one problem with the property was the fact that, on account of its very central location, there was noise disturbance from passersby in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The room was lovely, I appreciated the comfy sofa! The location is perfect, right in the centre of town. Only a short walk from the station and to buses to the university. Detailed instructions in the email made check-in and -out easy.

Bathroom had a funny smell but was very clean. Struggled with weak Wifi until I realised there was a different one for each floor, then it was fine.

The place was compact, clean, well-maintained and is in an excellent location. The city centre, the castle, eateries, and stores are just a minute away literally. Loved the ambience. The property owner Mr.Joe was very helpful. The laundry that's next to the property is relatively cheaper but is a good addition. I would have preferred to stay here for the whole duration of my visit to Lancaster if not for the unavailability of rooms. If I am ever visiting again, this is going to be the first on my list. There's nothing about this property not to like. Just that I thought from the pictures that it was a little bigger than it actually is.

Location is perfect! Close to train station and city center. Easy access to food and convenient stores. Customer service is great! They kindly helped me with early checked in and late check out. Really appreciate it!

No windows to look outside. The windows available are the one at the ceiling and at the door (but we had to close it with blind because of the afternoon sun).

The location was perfect very central Lancaster. No food was ordered. Room was nice and cosy being above a laundry but may be too hot in the summer as you didn't seem to be able to open the windows.

There was a heavy smell of damp as you entered the room probably because you couldn't open the window. The room being above the laundry may be too hot in the summer as no air conditioning. There was also no lift so was a challenge to get the cases up the steep stairs, although you could park your car by the front door to unload.

Check in was easy we were giving a one time access code. the room was comfy. If there was any downside I would say the property could really do with frosted glass windows at the front as it felt very invasive!! Unfortunately the fan wasn’t working and the coffee machine was leaking x

Front windows could be frosted to ensure privacy
