I booked a disabled access twin room for my parents and a double room for us and both were extremely good. The value for money here was incredible! The hotel is immaculate, very comfortable rooms and they were of a great standard. The cleanliness and layout of the rooms was amazing. The staff were all exemplary and their service was world class, nothing was too much trouble and they were great to get along with. The servicing of the rooms was faultless and the people doing it were utterly brilliant. The bed was very large as was the room, and both were extremely comfortable to be in! The place is extremely quiet and there is ample free parking, including accessible bays. My father is in a wheelchair and the accessibility of the hotel was probably the best I have experienced. The accessible room was on the ground floor and our room on the first floor as they couldn't get us rooms closer together, as I had made a request for that. That being said though, it was only a very short walk and lift ride to get to my parents room so it actually worked very well for us all. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable for both food and drinks - it was a pleasant surprise not to be paying through the nose for it. There is a good choice on the menu and we had different meals each night which were extremely tasty and great portions. The breakfast was ordered from and served to the table was of superior standard and very tasty and well cooked. The hotel for some reason is rated 3 star - in reality, it should easily be a 4 star and in some areas easily a 5 star.

Absolutely nothing

Location for us was perfect. Breakfast excellent. Welcoming staff who checked us in was lovely.

That I was charged twice despite saying I had paid in full to check out receptionist and that I only owed for breakfast. It took 3 days to resolve and 5 days later the refund still hasn't arrived in my account. Breakfast was refunded as a gesture of goodwill. One member of staff was particularly unhelpful. Also there was corridor noise when people arrived back to their rooms and as they left in the morning. They weren't noisy but walls very thin.

The staff were very friendly and the evening meal exceeded our expectations and was very good indeed. I had a chicken pie that was obviously home made with lots of chicken. My daughter had a burger which she wolfed down and she is quite picky about her food so shows how good it was. The beds were comfy and we had a nice view out over the fields. The room was what we expected and good value.

The room did smell a bit damp. It was raining the whole time we were there but I think it was because the bathroom isn't ventilated enough and the room felt a bit unwelcoming because of this.

Lovely location overlooking the golf course and a posh housing estate, 35 minute walk into the lovely town of Garstang. Large bright bedroom with a comfy king-size bed, a bathroom with a bath. (I always enjoy a bath when I'm away as I only have a walk in shower at home) Really nice staff especially in the bar. Will definitely stay again as it's a beautiful area to visit especially if you like canals and pretty towns. Great value.

The room was looking a little dated, but for the price it was clean and comfortable and I would stay here again.

Staff are attentive and amazing from day of booking. Placed a booking with request for a cot but mentioned I had twins (online booking only allows for request of 1 extra cot). I was contacted by hotel staff to ask if I required an extra cot due to the mentioning of twins. Fabulous attention to detail. Cots were ready when we arrived and extra towels for the littlest ones. We also managed to get milk from the bar at night for the boys as we arrived back late.

Bath tub was a little tired - I got my top and hair caught in the broken part of your bath panel. It really needs replaced in case someone else gets hurt.

I can't emphasize enough how polite, helpful, and well-behaved the young gentleman who greeted us in the middle of the night was. We arrived at night 5/6.06.2024 and he was there to show us to our room and explain everything we wanted to know. Compared to the ladies we'd met in the morning was on another level of customer service. Not complaining about the ladies,or the staff in the breakfast area - just the young gentleman made such an amazing impression on us.

Coffee could have been better at breakfast. Otherwise - no complaints.

Beautiful surroundings and elegant inside. Well kept to high standards. The suite room was huge with ample space for a family of 4. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The view from the room of the grounds was exceptional. We had a full English breakfast for Al the family and there was a good range including bakery items and cereals. We had young children with us who loved it. We have both ones again for summer next year.

I asked to be upgraded from a standard king room. We were given the only suite in the hotel which was excellent much better than the standard rooms. We didn't have breakfast on this occasion

The suite was on the ground floor with a small patio outside but someone who smoked probably stayed previously and there were quite a lot of cigarette ends outside. The cleaner should be reminded to check this area.

The room was very nice if a little dated. Hotel staff were very attentive, especially the lady who checked us in. Breakfast was self-serve and was plentiful. The evening meal was extremely good. The golf course looked amazing, although we are not golfers. There was plenty of outside seating space to enjoy. We would go again.

I couldn't fault anything

Very friendly staff. Lovely golf course. Good dinner and choice of food and drinks. Room ok size with hot shower and nice towels.

The lights in the room was either bright white neon, or off! The bedside lights were so bright it was horrible. TV had voice over on, which was impossible to change, so watching anything was annoying (although to be fair we never raised this with staff at the time so .. ..)
