staff went above and beyond friendly nothing too much very professional Caitlin is lovely and not met her before She was so busy but so.patient and never made us feel a trouble to her. she is an excellent addition to your staff. we know Janice from our other stays and she was only in once this time but as always she was friendly helpful and so good at her job. We only did breakfast a few times but the woman who was on her own looking after many on Tues and Thurs was so attentive and seemed so laid back despite doing everything Food was fab and served so quickly Our only request would be for the younger female on room service to be friendlier and if it is cos she is shy for her to work on her confidence as it came over as not bothered. I'm only saying this for younger staff to learn people skills . I couldn't do this work at all.
only one positive criticism above Being awake all Friday night as guests had left several dogs in a car possible two in minus 5 weather and they howled all night and our dog wouldn't settle. I went out at 4.30 to see if I could do anything but they stopped then started as soon as we moved away. I wish I'd taken.their car reg but other guest gave it to reception. I hope you reported them as it was as cruel as leaving them in a hot car to us. Sadly it marred our last night and we were exhausted driving home.

The location and grounds were lovely. Good parking. Good bar and restaurant inside. The night gent, I think maybe Ian(?) was amazing. I’d been to the festival that got cancelled and couldn’t get food while in Lytham. He made me a much needed sandwich at 11.30 at night, now that’s service. Bar is open all night as long as there are people. Brilliant, never known that in a hotel before.
A little tired in parts. Lift wasn’t working so had to lug my stuff up in 2 shifts. The reception team did offer to help but they were also checking in. Not a bother. The shower was not overhead, more neck level. I’m 5ft 6in and had to duck down under it to wash my hair, bit weird for a bath shower to be set so low. Remote could’ve been cleaner, had to wipe it down. And the bed had springs poking up that I could feel when I lay down. I shoved a pillow under the sheet as I was alone, so easily fixed.

Very comfortable rooms, my brother's room was easy access as requested, All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was hearty and very tasty. The availability of food throughout the day was excellent, we had dinner on both evenings, which was well cooked, nicely served and good value. The outside space around the hotel is lovely and well maintained.
Nothing really other than the mobile signal and wi-fi connectivity was at times poor, but given the nature of the building and location this was understandable. We were informed by the helpful reception staff on arrival the best ways to keep connected during our stay.

Lovely location, just outside the centre of Wrea Green. Beautiful country house hotel, in its own grounds. Plenty of car parking available. Our room was a standard double, very comfortable bed, with tea/coffee making facilities. The en suite had both bath and overhead shower. Toiletries and towels provided on a heated towel rail. The TV showed the ususal channels. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, lovely food, average price, and the same for the bar. Breakfast was vey good, and staff were all pleasant and helpful.
The only thing that let the Villa down was no heating on in the bar and restaurant in the evening. It felt chilly, although September, sadly it would have benefitted from open fires lit, but I did not see a suitable fireplace. The bar and restaurant take up all the ground floor area. I asked for the heating to be put on, and a kind receptionist, did do this for us, but by the time it was beginning to come through the radiators we went up to our room. It had been a lovely day, so I suspect they thought the heating was not required.

Breakfast was excellent, I had problems with my bathroom - but not serious. Dinner - very good. However, I would like another vegetarian choice. I was there, this time, for 3 nights, and there was only one true vegetarian dish, though I could have the fish. The staff are always very accommodating and friendly towards my dog. They allow me to keep her specially prepared foodstuffs (in tupperware containers) in the fridge.
More vegetarian choice on the menu. There was no mention of the possibility of newspapers and I didn't see any around the hotel.

All the staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Parking is easy and the hotel is lovely.
We do love dog's, but some dog owner's can be a little thoughtless. This is not the hotel's fault, but yapping dog's in the bar where the owners didn't seem to even notice was sometimes annoying. The information in your room, clearly state's that dogs must be with you at all time's. After listening to two dog's howling/barking for 10 minuites who were left in the bedroom opposite on their own, I had to phone reception. 25 mins of listening to this the owner returned to the room! Once again, it's not the hotel's fault it's the irresponsible dog owner's.

It was a pleasant surprise to see a hotel property in this area which was built in 1800s but so well maintained. It has a fairly large car park. The staff receptionist Caitlin welcomed us. She was wonderful. She upgraded our room. Our room No 26 was superb with a bedroom and another sitting room with modern facilities with a wall mounted electric heater in the sitting room and a split AC in the bed room. The bathroom was good size with a shower and a bath tub separately. It had a TV on the wall above the bathtub. Great luxury. The bar area is good too.
The room had outdated furniture. The windows are old and drafty.

My husband and l didn't have any complaints. Staff were helpful and kind. (especially Janice on reception.) There's plenty of choice at breakfast and as ll am gluten free they had a few things on the menu. Only thing they didn't have with the cooked breakfast was gluten free sausages which would have been nice. They have plenty of choice on the dinner menu too with gluten free options. Our room was clean, comfortable and enough storage space for clothes. In the bathroom the radiator turned on so you could warm your towels. The towels were the very large ones too. I would highly recommend this hotel but you do need a car to travel round.
We found it hard connecting to the Internet and the sat nev until we got down to tne end of the lane. That was the only downside.

From booking in with Janet until we booked out our stay at the Villa Country House Hotel was great, nothing was to much trouble, my husband is Coeliac, which was noted when we booked and they insured that a note was sent to the kitchen when we arrived to make sure everything was Gluten free. Breakfast was lovely, sorry can't remember the girl at breakfast's name, lovely selection at the buffet and great choice of hot food. And provided my husband with gluten free toast. We asked for more coffee and milk for the room and it was in our room when we came back from breakfast. Didn't have dinner in the hotel. Our room was serviced every day, and was always spotlessly clean.
The weather not being sunny, to be able to sit out in the gardens!!! 🍷🍷🌞🌞

Everything other than the 'dog policy'
We were put into a room on the second floor. After we checked in, we popped to the green to take our dog for a walk. Then back to hotel. We then popped out for food and returned approx 10.30 pm. The following morning, the reception was very abrupt, telling us that dogs weren't allowed on the second floor. She simply wasn't prepared to listen to me, I was trying to tell her that we were placed on the second floor, we didn't choose ! Shame, as otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
