We will be staying at this guest house again as everything about it is exceptional. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Keith who made us feel at home straight away. We were shown to our room, which was spacious, clean and had everything we needed (including a lamp with usb charging points - brilliant choice of lamps). The attention to detail in the information folder was so helpful, and we were given lots of information when we asked questions about the area. Both nights we had a very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast each morning matched up to everything else and was excellent - cooked by Kate, who was equally as friendly and welcoming as Keith. Thank you both for being very warm and welcoming - we will see you again soon

There is nothing about the property that we disliked.

The hosts (Kate & Keith) were very friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was excellent, we skipped lunch both days we were there. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was tastefully decorated. A nice touch was inclusion of wine glasses, just in case you fancied bringing your own bottle.

We were located in a room (No.4) on the top floor. It was a bit cold the first night as there wasn't any heating on, the second night was better with the central heating on. The hot water pressure in the ensuite was pretty low, and you could hear what sounded like the pipes banging when the hot water was running.

There is absolutely nothing that we didn't love about The Gaydon. Kate and Keith were perfect hosts, our room was cosy and comfortable, with the biggest bed I have ever seen. Everything was completely spotless, not a spot of dust or dirt anywhere. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. My intolerances were catered for, I was even given soya milk for the room. So many little extra touches were added, such as a complimentary glass of sherry in the evening and biscuits alongside the hot drinks selection in the room. It was a two minute walk to the seafront ( which could be seen from our window) and located on a quiet street with ample parking. We left feeling relaxed and can't wait to return later in the year. Nothing, it was perfect

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gaydon, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt like a cherished guest. The hosts greeted me with genuine warmth and hospitality. Their friendly smiles and personalized attention set the tone for my entire stay. The breakfast at The Westcott is nothing short of delightful. Not only do they cater to special dietary requirements, but they also go the extra mile for vegetarians. The sherry decanter in the evening was a charming touch. After a long day, it was lovely to unwind with a glass of sherry. My room was tastefully decorated, and the attention to detail was evident. There was a binder with lots of info about the area and recommendations about cafes & restaurant. The tea/coffee corner allowed me to enjoy a warm beverage whenever I pleased. The bed was very comfortable. In summary, The Gaydon is more than just a B&B; it’s a haven of comfort, thoughtful gestures, and genuine hospitality. If you’re ever in Lytham St. Annes, I highly recommend making it your home away from home.

The Gaydon is in a quiet part of St Anne's but it is close to the sea and within easy walking distance of the town. Our hosts, Keith and Kate, were very welcoming, friendly and obliging. The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide choice of options. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom, although small, was fine for us: however, it might be a tight squeeze for some people. If we return next year we will definitely book the Gaydon again.

I would have liked plain yoghurt (rather than just flavoured types) to be available at breakfast.

The owners Kate and Keith are sociable and very helpful. They provided fresh milk to make a good cuppa, and had lots of info about activities etc in Lytham and roundabout. There were 2 comfortable armchairs in our downstairs bedroom, and the bed linen was good. The breakfast table china and table mats are attractive, a cut above. Exceptionally clean.everywhere. The cooked breakfasts are tasty, especially the bacon. Not to be missed.

When the provision of a wide selection of breakfast options is a highlight of staying at the Gaydon, poor quality tasteless marmalade could so easily be rectified. Little plastic pots should be jettisoned, and quality Dundee marmalade, or something similar should be offered. Paying £10 extra for a sea view just gives the client a crick in the neck, and the tide is out a long way.....

The room and bathroom were large and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the large shower was great. Excellent location. Keith and Kate were friendly welcoming hosts and very helpful and informative about local amenities. Full English breakfast with several choices plus plenty of tea, coffee and toast. Plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc as well. We would definitely stay again

Very little on-site parking but plenty on the road which was quiet and safe.

I booked for a Christmas present for my parents, they tell me the hotel was extremely clean , very good location everything you need in your room the deco in the dinning room was amazing some fantastic picture for talking points , very welcoming the breakfast served was all top quality with a choice of a full breakfasts , fruit’s, cereal ect … Kate & Keith are very welcoming and my parents loved chatting with them , will certainly be booking again for a second visit thanks to you both for looking after my parents

This was a great find for a two night break, we loved this little B&B situated just a stone's throw from the beachfront (and a great beach cafe with excellent ice-creams!) and a short drive from Blackpool. The hosts, Keith and Kate, were very friendly and welcoming and provided excellent communications in advance of our visit. Greeted with a glass of sherry if we wanted, our room was on the 1st floor, and was very spacious, with high ceilings and great facilities, in particular, an excellent bright and airy bathroom with a very decent shower. The room had several lovely antique pieces and the bed was very comfortable. A tea tray with tea, coffee and biscuits was provided and there was a very good information folder in the room giving the history of the building and why it has its name. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good, with the usual cooked breakfast offerings, plus toast, cereal, fruit, muffins etc. We used Whiteside Taxis to get about on Keith's recommendation, and they were fantastic. Thoroughly recommended for a peaceful, comfortable break.

Parking was our only issue. There are only two spaces at the property so it's on the street and can be a little way away.

The host were brilliant and nothing was to much trouble, it was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stopped in !! Lovely choice at breakfast time, and both Keith and Kate took the time to come and say good morning, Lovely warm comfortable room Will definitely be returning in the near future

Nothing would stop us returning , although the minimum stay is for 2 nights that's not always convenient for us
