The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent, on the sea front and a five minute walk from shops, restaurants, cafes etc. In St Anne's square. . Plenty of parking for guests, and just a short drive into Blackpool and Lytham. We had a large room overlooking the sea which was very well furnished and decorated, and the bathroom had a great walk in shower. The food was very good in the restaurant, and we were able to get a light snack in the bar one evening which was also delicious.

The room didn't have a fridge to keep water or other drinks cool, but we asked for a tumbler of ice from the bar which we were given with no problem. Unfortunately, the lift wasn't working throughout our stay, but the reception staff did however changed us to a first floor room without us asking when we were told about the lift as we checked in.

The hotel has a well-stocked bar, a really good restaurant for evening meals and breakfast service is super, no buffet but freshly cooked and served to your table. The staff are all keen to make sure you enjoy your stay. Make sure your keycard is kept well away from your mobile phone!!

The building is old, although in excellent condition and the decor is good. Plenty of lounging areas to sit and while away the hours when the weather is a bit inclement. However, there are lots of stairs, and there are some short stairways as well as the two main staircases leading from reception. There is a lift, but there are stairs between it and some of the rooms. There are staff on hand to help with your luggage, so not really an issue.

We had a compact double room. It was compact but it had everything we needed. There was even a bath as well as a shower and an ironing board! It was ideal. Breakfasts were good and the one time we chose to dine in the restaurant we enjoyed excellent service and a great meal.

We had four breakfasts and each time we had to remind staff to bring something we had ordered. We witnessed this happening to other guests as well. On one occasion our hot food was brought to the table when we were still eating our cereal! The breakfasts were good and the staff very nice but they need to ensure that guests' orders are completed. Guests should not have to chase up missing items every single breakfast!

Great value for money, perfect location on the sea front. Lovely decor and design. Breakfast was lovely. Room was a good size. Hotel manager very swift to put things right on a minor room location issue we raised - was very much appreciated - Thank you Hailey.

Only issue was noise early morning from scaffolding being removed outside our window. Not a fault of the hotel as scaffolders can turn up at any time on agreed day, but reception should be made aware of things like this happening when assigning rooms. Hotel swiftly refunded our room upgrade & that was appreciated. Hotel location, staff and facilities generally faultless.

Lovely friendly staff my grandaughter and i got stuck in the lift as we didnt know how to open the door.The receptionist on duty was lovely and calmed my 5yr old grandaughter down and showed her how the lift worked so that she wouldnt be afraid of using a lift in the future.The food at the hotel was really good and we enjoyed an evening meal with our son and family .

The room was in need of some work especially in the bathroom.The silicone around the bathtaps and sink were dirty and in need of repacing. The bedding and towels however were clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable.

Lovely clean & comfortable room. Nice decor throughout the hotel. Comfortable lounge area and pleasant bar & restaurant. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. The staff in the bar & restaurant were very friendly, efficient & helpful. Tasty breakfast

The welcome at breakfast was not as warm as we expected, particularly as it took us a moment to find a clean table as the dining room had obviously been busy first thing & the tables hadn’t been cleared. Also had to ask for milk for our tea & then butter when our toast came.

The breakfast was excellent. The service was really quick and there was a wide variety of food and drink on offer. The staff were polite and acknowledged me straight away. My room was clean and tidy. There was fresh linen on the bed and fresh towels in the bathroom. I liked the tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well, so I can make a cup of tea whenever I wanted.

The lift was small and the bed was hard. The shower unit was small, you couldn't have fitted someone bigger then me. I'm 5 foot 5 inch and 12 stone. Anyone bigger either way from me would struggle. The car park is small. I know there was a wedding on and the guests had taken up the car parking. I had to pay to park my car in the car park next to the pier.

Myself, my Sister and our parents have just come home from spending 3 lovely days at this hotel. The staff were fantastic and so accommodating it made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent and served by happy smiling staff Bintou, Hailey and Lula along with the cocktails served by Jason at the bar. If I'm being really picky I would just say that the Ribble View is a little tired. There is peeling paint on the dressing table in the twin room, stains on the sofa and carpet and it smelled musty. However, the decor was lovely and all beds wonderfully comfortable.

We always enjoy our stay at the Glendower and think this is the best of a few others we have stayed in in the past. We like to upgrade to a sea view room, these are spacious and comfortable and worth paying the extra for. Everywhere is very clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is good and has table waiting service. The car park is a good size but gets busy because lots of people go there for lunch etc.

The first morning our breakfast was excellent but the second morning was not so good - not sure if it was a different chef, but saying that it was still good. We had to climb stairs from the first floor up to the second floor, where the room was and I found this difficult. In future I will emphasise that we require a room near the floor 2 lift when booking.

We booked two rooms with a sea view and it was lovely to see the sunset. The double room was spacious and modern the twin was nice but in need of updating slightly. The hotel had a nice feel and plenty of areas to relax.

The breakfast was nice however it would have been nice to have a buffet style continental breakfast to get your own juice, yogurt and pastries. The bar area was lovely. It was quite when we went so took time to get a drink however once served the lady behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming.
