Extremely comfortable bed. Good quality towels. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer in room. Great location on the seafront and very close to shops. Staff very friendly and efficient. Superb breakfast with lots of choice.

The lighting wasn't great and the bedroom had torn wallpaper and looked grubby. The carpet needs deep cleaning or replacing. The bathroom was quite spacious, but needs shelving near the sink, rather than behind the toilet. The flooring looked grubby and the shower door gaped at the bottom. I really do like my accommodation to be spotlessly clean. This won't put me off returning, because of the positives.

Rushed breakfast. Asked to leave the bar @ 10.30 on Friday evening as it was quiet. Just finished outside meal and felt thrown out of bar. Room exceptionally warm but fan provided so this helped. Did not like hearing a comment about another guest who had checked out between staff. The guest was just making a polite observation and it didn’t warrant the comment. Perhaps the member of staff was just having an off day. Felt uncomfortable hearing it.

Staff are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is of a good quality and cooked well - although it would be nice to be asked if you would like anymore coffee, was given one small cup and enough milk for three? also option of jam/marmalade with the solitary slice of toast would have been welcome.

Staircase up to the rooms is very smelly, stained and dank it doesn’t create the best first impression. Time the carpet was changed, it lets the place down!! Thankfully I need not of worried, as the room was spotless, bed comfy, lots of nice little added treats on the beverages tray and the rest of the bar, dining areas clean and tidy.

Friendly welcoming staff. Very good hospitality tray with two bottles of water fizzy and still, an array of teas and coffees and a jar of quality jelly beans. Hotel is situated in a lovely spot overlooking the windmill.

Lack of a welcome pack which would have been useful. The hot tap in the bathroom does not function how it should with water pressure. Rust in bathroom sink and shower cubicle. Fresh fruit as part of the continental a little limited. My preference would be a fresh fruit salad. Apples and bananas would of been nice to save for later.

Breakfast was very good, though I noticed a different menu for non residents, but it was well presented & very tasty, there wasn’t any muesli as mentioned on the menu, but all very enjoyable with excellent service, so thank you 🤩. The bedroom was very warm & cosy, though small, which was expected for a single room. Great location overlooking the lovely Lytham green.

Hot water tap in the sinks in the bathroom was stiff and therefore the flow wasn’t great. No other issues.

The staff more than anything, every single one of them bar none were just brilliant especially Steven/Stephen? & Josh. The beds were and pillows are so comfortable, slept so well while there. The Wednesday quiz was so good, loved it. The food especially breakfast just blew us away, 1st class 🤗

Just quite dusty in the staircase and landings but really only because i have a dust allergy and the stair carpet really let's the hotel down but it certainly didn't spoil our stay

The staff were brilliant, none of them could have been more helpful. From check-in to check-out, they were all happy, attentive and informed. They also read the notes on our reservation and noticed that we were visiting for our anniversary and sent over a couple of complimentary glasses of prosecco - much appreciated, thank-you! The food was exceptional - far better than I could have reasonably expected and incredible value for money

The only minor gripe we had with the stay was with the room we were allocated. It was slightly smaller than we expected, and there was fairly regular noise (a mild screech or beep) that went off every five or six minutes throughout the night. It wasn't that loud, but it was annoying. Managed to get some sleep though, so not the end of the world.

Nice bedroom and bar area, we had a snack for lunch which was very good but didn't have an evening meal. The breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. The location of the Hotel is good, short walk to the promenade, shops and restaurants and to the Lowther pavilion.

Slightly disappointed that we didn't get the room booked which was apparently double booked, however the duty manager was very apologetic and the room we were given was acceptable and we were offered a refund as compensation.

Over the years we have stayed at many B&Bs and hotels. The last four occasions have always been at the Queens. We love it there. Always very friendly and helpful staff, a great breakfast to start the day, a very comfortable bed. A warm bedroom. A just a very short walk away from Lytham Town centre. What's not to like?

Parking is always a bit of a challenge but you can always find somewhere not too far away.

Everything was just what we wanted for a last minute night away. From the staff and room and food to the location and views from the room. Just perfect. Will definitely return.
