We are a family of 4 who stayed 6 nights during June in the family room with 4 beds and a wonderful view over the bay. The guesthouse is run by a very kind and generous young couple who do everything in their power to make the guests' stay as convenient as possible. The place is renovated, well organised and kept very clean. There is a lot of information about Shimoda, and different equipments and facilities are made available for different kinds of activities. The kitchen and the common space for dining, hanging and socializing is furnished tastefully and it also has a nice view over the bay. We met a lot of interesting people with whom we had a wonderful barbecue evening together with the hosts. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone visiting Shimoda. Our whole family is already missing this place.

All the the staff and owners were incredibly kind and helpful, and spoke good English, as well as Japanese. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. There were many things available to rent to little to no cost and it was very helpful for our beach trip, most things for free. I rented one of the bikes and a snorkel both for free. I regret not staying longer, it was in a great location as well. They really did have "all you need". Great atmosphere. Family friendly and great for adults without kids too.

I had no problem with it, but I would recommend older or disabled folks to think before booking because there are lots of hills and stairs as listed. However, the staff was wonderful when it came to moving our luggage up and down hills and stairs.

First off, Yuki and his wife (the owners) are absolutely wonderful and benevolent hosts. Yuki was there to help us with absolutely anything we needed and was very reasonable. What is not pictured is that Yuki has hand drawn maps of the town and area around Shimoda with little markers he has placed for tens of restaurant options, beaches, and landmarks! He is happy to explain how to get anywhere and even provides free bike rental to guests! We liked Yuki so much that we grabbed dinner with him one of the nights and he even was able to drop a large load of the guests off to the train station at the end of our stay, although the walk is very reasonable! I could not have asked for a better host, as he has been more than accommodating. If you want to make a friend and uncover all that this beautiful area has to offer, I recommend booking here with Yuki. The property has an amazing view (as pictured) and is in a wonderful location for access to many beaches, towns, and nature trails. Inside, the common room is wonderful and each of the dorm rooms are great! The beds are extremely comfortable and are a nice size for those in Japan since they're a bit bigger than normal I think.

20 mins walk from the train station, located at the top hill and overlook the Shimoda Bay, the Guesthouse has excellent and majestic view. Host Yuuki is super friendly and offers great hospitality. Although there is no coin laundry, he is very helpful in doing the "dirty" work for us. Thank you so much. I would recommend it and definitely come back again.

Beware of the up & down hill, steep slope before reaching the Guesthouse. If you walk between levels and flight of stairs, you need an extra strength and leg muscles. A reading lamp at the bedside is recommended.

We had a great time during our stay at Guesthouse All you need. We went in winter, and the guesthouse was very cozy. The view from our bedroom was beautiful, and the room and shared kitchen was well-furnished. The owner's warm hospitality and attention to detail made our stay all the more memorable. Thank you, Yuki-san, for hosting us. If you are looking for a place to stay at while in Shimoda, 10/10 would recommend staying at Guesthouse All you need.

Izu is known for their steep hills, so if you're walking from the station to the accommodation, the distance is manageable but be prepared to do a bit of workout.

The owners are extremely nice and helpful. We stayed for one week and they even did the laundry for us! We loved the common spaces and it was a nice place to hang out and to cook your own food. Free bikes and snorkel gear for your disposal and really "All you need"! The beaches in the area are really great. There are several nice restaurants to choose from and good supermarkets within walking distans.

I would have really loved to give the highest score for this hotel, for these people are really great and would deserve it for all the hard work they do. I have to be honest though and say that the only thing that actually was a bit on the downside since we were staying so long, was that the rooms that we rented were on the smaller side (there may have been bigger ones) and there were nowhere to unpack our bags. There were no space for a closet, but some hangers, hooks or shelves would have made a big difference. The boy's room smelled a bit moldy. Nevertheless, our stay was so nice and pleasant we would love to visit again. A good vibe is more important than the practical issues, so you will not regret choosing this place!

The location was beautiful, had a great view from our room. All necessary amenities were present in the common area. But what delighted us the most was the warm and welcoming host who knew everything about the area, and helped us with a lot of places in our itinerary in Japan. We had come a little early for the sakura season but told us exactly the place where we could see the full bloom. Even many local people we met weren't aware of that. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Shimoda. Thank you for your incredible hospitality 🙏🏻

The view was amazing! There is a convenient parking in front of the hotel. There was free coffee in the morning and the staff gave us tips and lots of recommendations.

It is quite noisy. You can hear conversations, doors closing, etc. It is annoying in the morning. You also have to pay for towels.

Very well located! Some of beaches accessible by walk and more by bicycle (which are free to borrow)! All the rooms have a sea view! The common area is very convenient if you want to cook yourself a meal or simply make coffee in the morning. Also, they kindly to accepted to keep our suitcases before and after checking-in and out.

It a very small detail, but I was expecting that because we rent the private room, that the towels for the shower would be include in the price of the room.

Ocean view, excellent hang out area, fully equipped kitchen, and personal local touristic advice for Izu if you ask. Couldn’t have asked for better. The owners must take pride in their work. Town is nice too and not over touristed. Rent a car and see the cliff hiking trail and seven waterfalls if you can.

About a 25 min walk from the train station if you have heavy bags, but nothing we can change about that. If it was closer to town it would be less cool.
