I recommend the Hampton Inn Detroit Madison Heights South Troy. The lady at check in (I’m sorry for not getting her name) was cheerful, nice and helpful. The hotel and my room were super clean. The breakfast was delicious. The gentlemen (FREDDIE) working the breakfast really cared about the food being served. He was constantly cleaning / wiping down the breakfast area and restocking condiments, drinks and fresh hot food items. I definitely want to give him (FREDDIE) a special shout out due to his attention to detail and friendliness.

Clean, smells clean! The staff person who checked us in was so friendly and inviting. It was a great start to our visit. The room was very nice and the beds and pillows so comfortable. The heat/A/C unit was very quiet . I really liked the immediate text I received letting me know to text back if we needed anything. So simple. Location wise we were central to everything..15 minutes from Royal Oak Music Theatre. The coffee was the absolute best

Staff is everywhere and eager to help you with anything you need. Clean pool, onsite laundry facilities and coffee is always available in the lobby. Property was safe and had a few restaurants nearby. Nice desk with a lighted mirror in the room that was nice to be able to sit and do makeup at. Rooms were large.

The blinds in our room were broken and couldn't be raised.

Comfortable bed, extra chairs to sit in, nice work out faculty and pool. Great breakfast.

Only negative was lighting in room. Two of the lamps did not work. I like understated lighting unless I’m reading or trying to work. I asked front desk if they could do something about it and clerk said she’d send maint person to fix it but no one ever came. I was only there 2 nights so no major problem.

The Hotel was so clean ,the room was very roomy,in the bathroom we had extra towels,a microwave and the cooling system was perfect easy to use.Breakfast fabulous,Staff friendly and very helpful.We even could have some complimentary fruits.We definitely recommend this Hotel.

There was a smell in the hallway that was kind of bad The soap dish in the shower fell off while I was in the shower.

The STAFF was Great, they found out it was my grandsons 5th bday and made him a little goody bag.. breakfast was good .. rooms cleans.

The only thing I'd improve is the lounge area for morning breakfast is small... but really NO complaints . Definitely will return if I'm in that area again.

Location was solid. Right near the thruway for a quick drive into the city. There were some nice breweries in Royal Oaks not too far from here. Complimentary breakfast was actually really good. Staff was super helpful.

Decor was a little dated, but everything was clean so who cares?

I felt the bed and square pillows on king bed were uncomfortable. The room and building were exceptionally clean. The breakfast was one of the better free breakfasts we have had in long time. The staff was kind, professional and courteous.

Clean comfortable room. The bed was exactly right, not too firm or too soft. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, eggs sausages waffles oatmeal and lots of other choices every day. Location is convenient.
