We stayed at Domus Oncinae for one night. We were on our way from San Sebastian de Garabandal to Santiago de Compostela and this hotel was on the way. This is a newer hotel that has been beautifully renovated. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the host was extremely nice and helpful, and they have an excellent breakfast in the onsite restaurant. This hotel is right on the path of the El Camino and is in a very small town called Oncina de la Valdoncina. If you are just passing through, or want a really nice place to stay for a night while you are on the El Camino, Domus Oncinae is the place to go. We were very pleased with the accommodations.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean, well cared for and newly renovated with contemporary minimalist design. It was simple and pretty. We loved the mix with "perigrinos" from the Camino de Santiago and locals, and that you can get on the Camino just around the corner from the hotel/restaurant. The restaurant was small and lively and had a nice offering and good vibe.

The rooms were a little too bare: no place to put suitcases, hang clothes, hang towels etc. The restaurant was busy at times and a bit disorganized.

Loved the rooms and the dinner was amazing! Great staff. They were all super helpful and with a smile on their faces. We rode here on our motorcycles and we were very tired. They helped get up drinks and get in the rooms fast. Great outdoor space where we met new friends and ended up having dinner at the restaurant there. The waiter and food were incredible. I would stay here again for sure.

This was the second time I have stayed at Domus Oncinae as its a great stop off on my way from central Portugal to the Santander ferry, Quiet, out of town location and a good restaurant. Staff are friendly and speak good English which really helps when you don't speak Spanish.

If there is one tiny thing, it would be that central heating makes the room a little stuffy when you first get to the room but open a window and its all fine and I totally appreciate the heating over night as outside temperature was 3 degrees.

Lovely stylish modern building. Location is right on the Camino - good walks around for our dog. The lady on Reception when we arrived was very charming and helpful.

The rooms are very stylish but not entirely practical; not much hanging space (though appreciate that many visitors probably only stay for one or two nights) and no many surfaces on which to put things. Again, the bathroom is very attractively designed but not many places to put things.

The room was clean and had everything you needed. Location right on the Camino path. The owner of the Donus Oncinae was very personable and answered any questions I had. The dinner served very tasty and at a reasonable price.

Not much to do in the village if you wanted to explore.

Domus ( house) Oncinea is an rural situated accommodation It is light and clean good shower. Best beds ever And José is a magician. He works at the reception , serves fantastic dinner and makes the best coffee at the extensive breakfast Thank you for your hospitality José. All the best

Excellent stay in a comfortable and clean room. If you’re planning on taking the alternate route for the Camino this is a restful and peaceful stay. Spacious and delicious food. Great value for money.

The stay was great but there’s nothing much to do in the town. Ensure you arrive before siesta or have snacks to tie you over until meal times.

Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful and allowed us to book in a little earlier. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Lunch time meal was the best meal on our Camino so far. This establishment is highly recommended for weary pilgrims.

An excellent choice if taking the country walk-route out of Leon on the Camino (to avoid the main road!) and a pleasant surprise when we arrived there. Delightful place. Friendly staff. Good facilities, good food.

Would have liked more choice at dinner but otherwise excellent.
