Our suite was large and airy with a balcony and faced the main pedestrian street in Kosice old town, with direct views of the Opera House and Cathedral. The room was well-equipped and comfortable including a sofa and arm chairs. The bathroom was large with a separate toilet room. The hotel has been tastefully refurbished in period detail and has a high-quality restaurant and bar area. Breakfast selection included the usual range of cold and hot dishes, pastries and coffee/tea. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Reception and restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The location is amazing right in the centre of Kosice, The style of the hotel is fantastic very luxurious, The breakfast was lovely and staying available until 10am was very convenient to have a relaxing morning, The room was huge with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom, Staff very friendly and helpful in hotel and in restaurant

The shower in the bathroom was located in a high bath which was a bit challenging because I have a bad knee and the bath wasn't provided with a plug, The interior rooms are lovely the way they are but we was missing a bit of fresh air coming in to the room so having an outdoor window would have been perfect

I loved the hotel . The location is perfect as it is opposite the theatre / ballet , the churches , the underground city and within walking distance of all of Košice sights . The bar and restaurant is known to be the best in Košice and has an incredible chef ( several locals told me this ) and I confirm that the service and the food / drinks were exceptional . From the moment I arrived the staff were super friendly and helpful . The guys in the restaurant / bar were super friendly and helpful and deserve the highest praise as do the reception staff and breakfast staff and cleaners as nothing was too much trouble for them all . I had an early flight on my last day so they packed me a “boxed breakfast “ which contains more than you could possibly eat and drink and was a welcome surprise and fantastic as you usually would just miss out on breakfast at another hotel . It goes to show the level of perfection that the hotel strives for . I highly recommend this hotel . It is even a stop on the city tour due to the buildings history . We booked in for one night's stay prior to going to the ballet in Kosice for my wife's birthday. The hotel was ideally located, literally opposite the theatre and ballet. Breakfast was great, really good choice of pastries and hot food, sausages and eggs etc. Good coffee machine and waiters happy to bring a stronger flat white coffee on request. Loved all the Art Deco on the walls too. Room a decent size, clean and comfortable.

The food was beautifully presented - recommend the schnitzel and the soup. One of the dishes, the duck pate didn't quite work for us and the cremante (fizzy wine like prosecco) we ordered came flat, though the waitress apologized and replaced it immediately, free of change. Worth being aware that you need to reserve parking and it is a bit tight under the hotel - medieval walls weren't made for large cars (!) Overall a lovely stay though.

Our stay was a real treat - a fabulous opportunity to stay in a real gem of a hotel, with history and up to date style in abundance. Our Deluxe room was huge, beautifully decorated, with large windows looking over the pedestrianised main street. The location of the hotel is superb, right in the middle of Kosice next to the beautiful National Theatre, with the cathedral, cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep. Whilst we had a problem at breakfast on one of the mornings, we would like to thank the hotel management for the way in which the problem was put right - we couldn't have asked for more. We had lunch in the restaurant during our stay and the food was superb - top quality with lovely local touches in beautiful surroundings.

It was only a minor thing for us, but not having a full height shower over the bath could be a problem for some people - it's worth checking in advance if you can have a room with a level access shower if this is what you need.

The hotel is really on a very high level. You will experience vibe of the old times with the tradition of Austria-Hungary architecture and style, and at a very friendly price. The rooms are spacious, pleasantly furnished, everything clean. The staff is kind and helpful, they give advice and are always available. We also used the services of the restaurant and we were delighted. They also allow free parking for an additional fee. We would love to come back again!

The selection of food at the breakfast is quite small, mainly focused on meat products and eggs, it would be nice to expand the offer.

Nice welcome, deluxe room is huge and comfortable with views on main street, in the middle of everything in town. Breakfast was very good, including coffee from the bar, that we appreciated very much. Gallery walls in restaurant/caffe are spectacular, restaurant staff very attentive and professional.

A bit more attention should be paid to cleaning of some parts of the room, as there were some stains on curtains and cobwebs around the windows. But it didn't influenced the overall impression, which was excellent.

Slavia was definitely the best experience I've got from an hotel stay for the last several year and I've travelled in 12-15 countries recently. Great location, clean room, amazing large comfortable beds. Breakfast is 10+, nice selection of foods. The building itself is very clean, nicely decorated. Very large bathrooms, the bath itself is superb. High ceilings (~4.3m) makes you feel in a castle. Closets with plenty of selves with a nice lighting when you open the doors. Great view from the balcony. Nice bar and restaurant on the first floor. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Highly recommended.

Really nice old building right in the centre of Main Street. Great location for everything, including train and bus stations. My room was on the second floor( they do not have a first floor) with a city view. The room was very large and very clean. Very comfortable bed and very quiet even though my window was looking out on Main Street. The bar was very relaxed and the menu was good and good value. The staff were amazing and nothing was trouble to them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kosice.

If I had one small problem, it is that at breakfast, there was no fruit. Lots of everything else, eggs bacon pastries but no fruit. But do not let this change your mind about staying here as there is all the fruit you want in cafés just outside the door

The hotel is in the very heart of the city of kosice, approx. 15 minutes on foot from the train station. Downstairs at the reception were pleasant staff, the room smelled of cleanliness, it was tidy and very cozy. I even had a room with a bathtub, which is another plus. there was a quality hairdryer and cosmetics in the bathroom. the bed was very comfortable (but that's subjective). The room was quiet and I really loved the stay in this hotel. The breakfast was also delicious.

I personally do not consider it a minus, but the windows of the room (bedroom, bathroom) were facing the corridor / atrium. However, the windows could be easily covered with curtains or blinds. If you have food intolerances (lactose, gluten), there were not so many options at breakfast but still I could find something to eat :)
