Breakfast was good, it was nice to have a fruit salad option in addition to the usual items. We'd been staying at a number of hotels by this point in our trip so the fruit was appreciated! The room was so spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The gym facilities are also large; you don't feel as if they've shoved a single cross-trainer and a couple of treadmills in a closet just to tick that box. We didn't use the pool because we ended up going out with friends, but the pool was open and looked good. We had no difficulties, but I did hear staff politely dealing with a guest's issue (who was also polite, I might add!) and they sounded as if they addressed the problem positively and to that guest's satisfaction.

Great location, breakfast and property in general. Close to everything. We came during a snowstorm and they had the place looked and shovels available for us to use to help us get out in the morning.

When checking in my card was charged twice and it was blown off by the staff. I didn’t really appreciate that as it took 2 weeks for it to come back onto my card. I’m not sure if this was booking.com fault or the property but that was the only issue I had.

Staff was nice and large room.

We were not told there would be no cleaning unless we asked for it. We got back after a long day out to see that it hadn’t been touched. Leaving very early the next morning I wanted my coffee so we called down for it and were given more coffee. This should be stated in the reservation and perhaps in a note in the room to avoid confusion and upset people. I don’t mind that but I’d like to know about it ahead of time.

The bed was SUPER comfortable, shower is big (love that!), room was spacious and clean. Overall, the room was very comfortable and a good value.

The little shop needs to carry items like nail clippers/file and travel toiletry kits. The fridge in our room fell forward out of the cabinet each time you opened the door ..should be secured.

I liked the size and layout of the room, it was clean and nicely decorated. I also really liked the breakfast options, it was more than just the continental breakfast I had expected. The staff was nice, and it was in a convenient area with a lot of places to eat nearby.

The only thing I didn't like was the car noise in the area during nighttime; however, it was not so noisy that I couldn't fall asleep.

The location of the hotel was great, only a few minutes from the airport. The room was comfortable and the breakfast (included) was pretty good. I wish they had more toasters at the breakfast room, so that guests didn't have to wait for a long time to get toast. Good value for the price.

There was no coordination betwwen the hotel reception and the airport shuttle driver. When you arrive at the airport, you have to call the hotel for the shuttle, but the receptionist didn't tell the shuttle driver about my call, so I had to wait at the shuttle stand for almost an hour, and three calls.

This Hyatt place sterling has been one of the best economic hotels around dc areas, near IAD airport (which has a metro station). Location is great, parking is free and easy. Surrounding area is quite and not much traffic. Also a Sam club gas and other places nearby. The hotel offers free shuttle service which is very nice. The room is descent maintained and has a small living room with sofa and coffee bar. Earlier check in before 3 is also doable based on their availability as well as late check out. Their staff were very nice and communications are easy. Alexis at front desk and shuttle bus driver Max were very nice people, they’ve made the hotel experience even better.

It doesn’t have tooth brushes etc and when I forgot mine and called front desk they told me they don’t have at that point. It’s a bummer because it was late and I didn’t want to go out and buy one. The breakfast was good but the bagels were almost gone and milk was almost empty when we tried to eat. Better to refill in a timely manner.

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. They were still doing renovations, but it was not disruptive. Breakfast was also good. Check-in process was smooth and quick.

There was a man in the hallway overnight by my room for the last two nights of my stay. He just sat at the end of the hallway; he wasn't rude or anything, he actually never spoke. It was unusual that he was in the hallway. I could not tell if he was security or employed by the hotel.

I’ve been going to Marriott properties in the area for years. Became very dissatisfied. Found this Hyatt, and I won’t be back till the others. Great breakfast, huge room, and the little bar on the backside of the lobby was a pleasant surprise.

Like all hotels these days, the air conditioner is not manageable. You cannot leave the fan on to create white noise to go to sleep. It’s cycles off and on relentlessly. Needs to be addressed.

The price was nice and it was a nice quality hotel and clean

There was no microwave so that was pretty lame especially if you are ordering in or bringing leftovers back to the room from a restaurant there's no way for you to warm it up. The bed was hard as a rock and there were a couple extra doors in the room that were locked and that freaked me out.
