I had a great time during my stay at the lodge. The proprietors embodied the authentic form of Greek hospitality.

The property is literally five steps away from the beach, you just need to cross a (rather busy) street and you’re there. Nearby are some tavernas while there are no shops in the immediate vicinities. We had a large, triple room equipped with a fridge, a cupboard with a lot of storage space and a lovely balcony facing the sea. Both the bed and bathroom were clean. In the back of the corridor leading to the rooms there was a thread to hang beach stuff to dry, that was quite useful and we appreciated it a lot. The downstairs area and the (private) beach area are thoroughly washed with plenty of water every day. Parking spaces and umbrellas/sunbeds are provided free of charge for the guests. Apart from the crowded street, the area is lovely and quiet and the beach here is much nicer than Kalamata’s.

The owner welcomed us in a rather grumpy way, which to be honest didn’t bother us (we found it quite funny!) until we were told to not adjust the a/c and to just use the on/off buttons. The room had fresh and nice towels but the beddings were made of a very synthetic fabric that was quite unpleasant to sleep in. We were charged 7 euros for two freddo espressos, where everywhere else on the beach the price is 2,50 euros for one, had we known we would have gone to the nearby Tropicola beach cafe. The shower cubicle was extremely narrow and the sliding doors always got stuck, making it quite tricky to get in and out and to have a pleasant shower. No toiletries and no hair dryer are provided to the guests, so bring your own.
