Had a delightful week-long stay here. First off, all of the staff I interacted with were friendly, kind, helpful. Couldn't ask for more. The hotel is not new, but is very comfy and charming. Nice place to sit right outside the colorful room and relax, or enjoy the roof top deck with a view to the sea--nice sunsets--cool breezes. Breakfast was included with the room, and it was ample, with eggs, beans, tortillas, fruit, juice, coffee. Also, there was a refrigerator and microwave available for restaurant leftovers--came in handy. The pool isn't heated, so depending on the season and your level of courage, you may just enjoy sitting poolside and taking in the sun and the mural above the pool. I spent several afternoons in a cushy lounger doing both.
My only issue was location. I did not have a vehicle and as a senior, every day the malecon (boardwalk) seemed a little further away than the day before. In reality, it's only a 7 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. It wasn't really a major issue, but there were days that I wished it were a bit less of a walk, especially at the end of the day.

Excellent Location (Especially for Drivers): Super convenient if you’re driving! The parking feels very safe, which gave us peace of mind about our belongings. Beach Towels Available: I’ve stayed here before and only just found out they offer beach towels—total game changer for beach days. Delicious Traditional Breakfast: The ladies who prepare breakfast are amazing! A traditional Mexican breakfast with fresh fruit and coffee was such a treat, and one of the main reasons my family rebooked. Stress-Free Mornings: Loved not having to make choices like you would at a typical continental breakfast—everything is served fresh and ready to enjoy.
High Taxes: The added tax for our two-night stay came out to nearly 20% of the booking cost, which felt pretty steep. Laundry Options: It would be great to have laundry services on-site or a convenient, affordable way to send laundry out.

Great little gem just a couple blocks from El Malecón. Has safe gated parking, nice terrace and pool. Most rooms and terrace have a partial sunset/bay view. Friendly and helpful staff. Warm breakfast included. AC and wifi work well. Great price point considering everything. Clean rooms and thorough daily cleaning service. Fridge and kitchen available for guests as well as purified water. I did have one cockroach and lizard in my bathroom but to be expected given climate here. Would def stay again.

Had a nice variety of rooms available, which is why we chose to stay here. Big parking lot accessed through an extremely narrow alley. Great public spaces including kitchen space, provided drinking water from coolers. Traditional Mexican feel.
The breakfast unfortunately did not open fully until about 8 am. We had a 9 am flight, so had to check out before that. They did provide some granola, cornflakes, and bread with jam. The city center was also noisy at night - cathedral bells, fireworks, police sirens, and revving car engines. Not handicap accessible.

we had a family unit. the property is cute and the room was a decent size for 6 people. we had our own private balcony which was nice. Location is good, walking distance to the malecon. staff super friendly and helpful. Off street enclosed parking was a huge bonus. traditional breakfast was good. for the price it was excellent for our family of 6.
tiny pillows. beds are super hard. pool was not heated and being on the north side did not get sun so was super cold probably would feel great in the summer! everything else was excellent.

The terrace, the breakfast, the hospitality, the staff kindness, close to The Malecon.
At first, I was a little disappointed because the place was a little small, but during the stay I realized that the staff were very attentive and friendly. And the stay during the days became more enjoyable, to the extent that in this mom I feel a little nostalgia for the experience lived with my wife and my children. There are small details to keep in mind, such as, for example, that the door has a mosquito net, I hope you can fix this detail, because I would like to return to La Paz.

Breakfast was excellent. There were two servers and while one prepared a lovely fruit plate, the other made eggs to order. Yogurt, cereal, bread for toast, peanut butter, jam, juice and lots of coffee. The common area on the rooftop was the perfect place to relax and read. It was rarely busy and a fine spot to watch the sunset. The pool is small and according to the young lads in it, pretty cold! The entire hotel has a strong Mexican theme with colourful planters, tiles, etc. Tastefully done and definitely this side of tacky. I’m sure the management is aware that the hotel is near a sketchy part of town, so they close the big gates at 6pm. You have to ring a bell to get in.
The hotel is on the outer edge of centro, and as the road carries on toward Soriana, it’s definitely a little sketchy. Lots of barking guard dogs and not well lit (the whole town isn’t well lit a few blocks back from the malecon). But the street that leads back to the malecon past the marina is well lit and we did not feel unsafe. Its proximity to the restaurants at the marina is an excellent feature. Hotel to malecon a leisurely 10 minute walk.

A beautiful hotel with purely Mexican charm: large beautiful murals, azulejos, sea shells, etc. Run by a family which is keeping traditions. They helped us to organize swimming with whale sharks at a very short notice. The family itself runs similar business and can organize kayaking or something else. Very spacious, quiet room, very good breakfast, swimming pool, good internet. Location perfect: 400-500m from Malecon
Nothing, that we could dislike or wish to improve.

We enjoyed the Mexican accented decor, the staff were great, and we especially enjoyed the top deck, where we saw an amazing sunset. The breakfast includes cereal, yogurt, eggs, fruits, juice and coffee. We met guests who spoke very highly of the affiliated travel services.
Unfortunately, a neighboring property has dogs that bark at all hours. The surrounding neighborhood is safe, but not very attractive. The property is close enough to the malecon, if you don't mind a short walk. Watch out when driving, as the police are quick to pull you over.

Definitely exceeded our expectations. We were planning to stay for one night and the staff treated us like we were royalty staying for a week. Brian at reception was extremely helpful and welcoming. So too was Abraham and Lou. . . and the cleaning and breakfast staff were wonderful. The free breakfasts were tasty and substantial. The rooms were clean and somewhat basic but were roomy, had great Mexican character with lovely hand-painted murals (as opposed to the sterile rooms of most hotels), the beds were comfortable and the showers were perfect. When we surprisingly discovered that we could book a whale shark swimming adventure on our first night at the hotel, the staff went out of their way to make it easy for us to stay the additional night. Hotel Posada Luna Sol, close to the Malecon, is a hidden gem!
The pool, although beautiful and clean, is unheated which is of course unnecessary in all but the winter season. But I suspect that that is the case of almost all the hotels in Baja Sur. . . so we definitely don't hold that against them.
