We had a large triple room with its own mini-kitchen - there are four rooms with a communal lounge area. Very comfortable and in a great location, about 10 minutes walk from the lovely Santo Stefano church and square with plenty of cafes etc, and about 15 minutes from the main square, main shops and sights. Lots of nice touches in the accommodation including a generous supply of free snacks, and every day a personalised order of breakfast pastries. Roberto, the host, is extremely friendly and helpful and responds very promptly to any queries. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to others visiting Bologna

We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B in Bologna. The place was cozy, clean, and welcoming, and the attention to detail really made the difference. Our room was cleaned daily, and it was always a pleasant surprise to find the snacks, coffee, and other amenities thoughtfully refilled. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bologna! A special thank you to Roberto for the the amazing care!

1. Roberto the host was excellent and very helpful - He was waiting for my wife and I when we arrived and helped us carry 3 large heavy suitcases up three floors of stairs to our apartment and helped us again with our luggage when we departed. Roberto delivered breakfast (fresh croissants & breakfast sandwiches) each morning and the apartment was well stocked with water, cereals, milk, yogurts, orange juice, fruit, Nespresso coffee machine and snacks. Also daily housekeeping was provided. Additionally Roberto made dinner reservations for us at a couple of nice restaurants and was very good with following up with the restaurants to ensure that we had a reservation. 2. The property is in a fairly good location and within walking distance to a number of tourist locations and restaurants(15 - 30 minutes). 3. The apartment although not large size was comfortable, nicely renovated and well furnished.

The room is spacious and spotless, The bed big and comfortable (on the hard side, good for your back)comfy pillows, Good lighting in room and bathroom, the amenities for breakfast were really good and the fresh croissant was very tasty, the coffee from the coffee machine in the room was really tasty, the room gets cleaned every day which is super convenient. The location is good, with bus station next to it and 15 min. walk from the center and lots of restaurants and cafes near by. Roberto was extremely friendly and helpful and super nice! We really recommend the place.

the place is on the 3rd floor with steep stairs, so if you need accessibility, keep this in mind. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Roberto was such a great host! The room was exceptionally clean, and fully stocked with snacks & drinks & a great coffee maker! Probably the best pistachio croissant I’ve ever had was delivered right outside my door every morning (he also had several different croissant options to choose from). I’ve seriously been thinking about it everyday since. Centrally located, only a few minutes away from the center. I would absolutely stay here again.

A few flight of stairs and no elevator/lift. It wasn’t an issue for my mother or myself but might not be ideal if you have mobility issues.

The room is super cosy, everything looked very new and tastefully decorated. The B&B is situated very close to the city centre (10 min on foot) and close to bus stations. The host Roberto is a lovely and helpful local who was always there to answer questions. The breakfast can be chosen every day. Coffee, tea, milk, and other kitchen supplies are stocked up every day. We truly felt at home here.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

B&B Il Viaggio is a small suite of rooms in a lovely old property on the eastern side of the old town. We had the Sud (South) room, and it was everything we needed, small but perfectly formed, with good air con (you'll need it when the city heats up over the summer), modern bathroom and comfortable bed. There is decent Wi-Fi, nice wooden shutters, and a small breakfast table where you can enjoy the taste sensation (and calorific battering ram) of the unbelievable pastries delivered fresh each morning. Nothing is that far away that you can't walk to it and, if you haven't been, Bologna is an absolute stunner of a city. Roberto, the host, is such a lovely chap, and always happy to help arrange and advise. Definitely one to go back to.

A decent waste bin in the kitchenette area (separate from the recycling bins) is literally about the only thing I can think of.

This was a really great place to stay in Bologna. Roberto couldn't have been more helpful and had thought of everything to make our stay really lovely.It is only a short walk to eating places and the central Piazza Maggiore. Communication was really good and Roberto was very helpful with early check in and keeping our cases.He also booked our taxi to the airport. We would definitely return.

This is not something that was a problem for us but the property is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift.Roberto insisted on carrying both our cases up the stairs and back down when we were leaving .Very thoughtful.

Everything! Located on the eastern edge of the city, Roberto’s place is a short 15 minute walk into the city centre. Our room was large, comfy and very well equipped. The aircon was welcome on a warm day, the breakfast basket was a lovely treat and the property itself was nice and quiet, despite being near a busy road. From the moment we met, Roberto’s hospitality was incredible. He helped us with our luggage, took our order for breakfast the following morning, gave us a map with lots of incredible local recommendations for dinner and was responsive on WhatsApp if we needed anything. He also helped us book a taxi to Bologna station on the morning of our departure, got us pastries for our onward journey, and stayed with us until the car arrived to ensure we left safely. Would love to return soon and stay at this lovely spot again, and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Bologna - Grazie Mille Roberto!

There’s no lift up to the 3rd floor which was fine, but may be harder for some people to access

Everything was great from the moment Roberto contacted us about our upcoming stay. Very good communication and super service oriented. When we arrived at the B&B we felt like we arrived at home. There was warm vibe, our room had all necessities needed for a few days stay, the little kitchen was well equipped and had great choice of coffee, fruits, dairy products. The breakfast was absolutely great: Roberto brought us the most delicious freshly baked pastries. The room was super clean and bed was really comfi. On my next stay in Bologna, I will definitely stay there again. Recommend this place without any doubts!
