The hotel is right in the heart of old Bologna, with lots of interesting things going on in the nearby streets (impromptu concerts, for example). This sort of interesting area naturally has interesting people - some rough sleepers nearby, and a bit of drunken shouting at night - which didn't worry me, but might be unsettling for some. The staff are all really nice and very helpful. And the interior of the hotel is clean, tidy, and has a pleasing decor.

The tap water in my room had some problems - came out brown at one point! - which I don't expect of a hotel in this price bracket. Understable, perhaps, as the building is old so perhaps the plumbing is too? I also did not like the fact that guests are not allowed to use the mini-bar fridge for their own purchases. As far as I'm concerned the whole point of having any sort of a fridge in the room is so that I can keep my drinks cold.

Everything went well, from check in to check out. We spent eight nights, and met probably all their staff, who were ever warm and helpful. They assisted with restaurants, events, transportation. Breakfast was carried in choices, all great. The room was tidied twice a day. Although we were in the heart of the University District with great student energy, the room was pin drop quiet. Bed was firm and comfortable. Excellent location, ten minutes from the central piazza and the Ghetto, with all the good restaurants, food stalls and shopping. We will be back. Ciao!

I liked the breakfast, both the service and the variety. Very warm personnel. Little attentive details made it feel cosy and classy. Location is good in terms of reaching anywhere in the central town. The hotel itself was really quiet. This was my 3rd hotel in the same trip, I felt warm in only this one, really appreciated.

The only downside would be, I felt a slight insecurity at the entrance of the street. But I didn't encounter any negative issue during my stay. And also the hotel is really close to the square, which is crowded and safe. There were some noises from the street, but I managed to sleep anyway.

Immaculate little hotel with the most attentive staff who care immensely about their guests.Nothing was too much trouble A card welcoming us along with cakes were waiting in our room … half an hour after we arrived we had a knock at the door asking us if everything was satisfactory and also providing us with chocolates. The same thing happened the next night. In our hotel room the hotel had also provided us with a list of restaurants. They also booked these for us. Breakfast at the hotel could not be faulted - a cold buffet and a hot option made to order The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bologna

Couldn’t fault the hotel but don’t be put off by the fact the hotel is on the fringes of the student area - it is a more edgy area and there is a fair amount of graffiti (as there seems to be in Italy) but the hotel is perfect

This was a wonderful place to stay! The staff were exceptional, always welcoming and helpful. Our room was well presented, spotless, cool, quiet and the bed big and comfortable. The breakfast area is pretty with a good selection of food both from the buffet and cooked to order from the menu. The location was very accessible both to the university and the city centre with great restaurants in the vicinity.

There wasn’t anything we disliked. We look forward to returning and would not hesitate to book again!

The hotels offers a superb breakfast, a really good selection of cereals, grains, yogurts, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses alongside delicious bakery goods and a cooked breakfast. The hotel obviously pay a lot of attention to the selection of their coffee beans and the result is really good coffee. Breakfast is a definite highlight. And at all other times the staff are super helpful and if you need restaurant suggestions (there are many hundreds in Bologna !) are happy to recommend and book for you.

The shower in our room was rather small but worked fine.

Very kind and helpfull staff. The hotel has a nice atmosphere and lives up to the idea of being a boutique hotel. It’s located close to everything so it’s easy to walk around in the central part of Bologna. We can only recommend the hotel 😊

It is a little difficult arriving by car and to park it. The garage is a bit away.

The hotel is great and cosy, the staff is great, they take care of little details to make one feel welcome and appreciated.

The hotel is in city centre, however the area is devastated, walls of beautiful mansions destroyed by graffiti. When one arrives, there is an uneasy feeling and it is not possible to imagine that a charming hotel can be situated in such a neighbourhood. Nevertheless, highly recommended!

Breakfast was good. They will make you various egg dishes to order, as well as coffee. In addition, there is a buffet with fruit, pastries, etc. The hotel is charming.

I didn't love the area. It's clearly a street that's up and coming, as there is construction/renovation of many adjacent buildings. That said, the hotel is the only hotel on the street. If I was traveling solo, I'd be nervous about that, to a degree (e.g., in the dark).

The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and charming, very generous hosts. I loved the artwork around the hotel. I loved that the rooms were named after operas. Very fitting given the proximity of the plaza Verdi and the Teatro Communale. I loved the breakfast. Delicious and served with so much warmth and generosity and professionalism by the staff. I also liked the biscuits and slippers in the room.
