I loved this hotel as soon as I walked in. It was charming, cosy, welcoming with a nice touch of quirkiness. It’s surrounded by beautiful countryside and it’s a nice, close drive to Fort Augustus. There is a comfortable lounge area with lots of games and reading material readily available. It was great to also have the restaurant on site and the food was fantastic! The rooms were spacious, clean and full of charm. Breakfast was ample. I’m looking forward to my next stay there. Loved it.

Some might think it a bit far away from Fort Augustus but I liked that it was a little out in the countryside.

It's a trek to get to, but it's in a lovely location convenient to pretty walks. When they say dog-friendly, they really mean dog-friendly -- they brought dog biscuits down with breakfast, and have dog beds you can pull up next to or under your table at breakfast and dinner. The staff all seem to love dogs, and were so friendly, to us and our pup! The place is charming, and if you get stuck in bad weather, there's a cozy lounge with books and board games downstairs to get to know other guests. If you manage to book in for a Sunday roast, that's also well worth it, the food was excellent.

The facilities are very nice and clean, very nicely decorated and pleasant to live in. The rooms are large, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast and bar were very good, but the most excellent is the restaurant, where the atmosphere is lively. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is available on the property. Ideal for a quiet stay and for long walks in nature.

The location is quite remote, so you definitely need a car to get there. But on the other hand, this ensures a quiet stay.

The staff were lovely, the food was great - fabulous dinner menu. Fantastic for our wee dog - made her feel really special and was very relaxing for us to have her there! Really quirky, interesting hotel with lots of interesting memorabilia, great outside area and paddock for wee Ruby to have a run around in.

Everything was lovely - there had been a wee problem with the cold water tap in our room so unfortunately the room smelt a little damp, but the problem was being fixed.

Our stay at Whitebridge was fabulous! We fell in love with this beautiful hotel: the atmosphere is so special and evocative, and everything that enriches the place makes the environment a little magical! The rooms are lovely, very clean, and with everything you need. The bed was super comfortable and we slept divinely. The restaurant and bar are delightful, and decorated in an extremely original way, and the food and drink are excellent! This little place is really special, made so by the very kind and welcoming staff. Last but not least, it is located in a really lovely area, close to lots of really beautiful naturalistic points. Thank you Whitebridge Hotel for the wonderful experience! We hope to return soon!

The hotel is quirky with traditional, Scottish vibe. Lovely comfortable lounge and excellent food in the evening in a fab music themed bar. The staff and owners very friendly. Our bedroom was nicely decorated with a good view. However the room and bathroom on the small side the positioning of the sink in the room itself is too close to the bed, a bit of a hazard. Breakfast food was good, but the room was cold and so a couple of people in our group were uncomfortable. We didn't think it was right that coffee was included in the breakfast but cappuccino was an extra charge.

We liked the eccentric decor, the crisp bedlinen and large bath towels. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a very nice dinner and there was a good choice of real ales. And thanks for the Tunnocks biscuits - our favourites!

We thought our room (8) represented poor value for money compared with others enjoyed on this holiday. The room was cramped and while having the wash basin in the room wasn't a problem in itself (apart from taking up space) there was nowhere to put toothbrushes, shaving stuff etc or to hang a hand towel. We used the unnecessarily large trolley. A small shelf and a hook or ring for a towel would improve matters. The shower / w.c. room was tiny and also suffered from lack of anywhere to put things. The base of the shower was very slippery - I was glad that I'd brought my own anti-slip mat. We were also disappointed by the 'mountain view' promised in our reservation - on offer was a building site with some forestry and a modest hill as background.

Great comfy beds, good value for a family room. Lovely, quirky, Scottish decor! Fabulous restaurant (and bar) and a great breakfast. Do book in advance - very popular with locals. The lounge was spacious and comfortable. Friendly staff. This was a really lovely place to stay.

The shower was occasionally problematic but there was plenty of warning that this would be the case. Lots of hot water and good pressure when it worked! Otherwise, the bath was fine.

The downstairs of the hotel had an old and quaint decor, with the bar/restaurant having loads of things to look at and was very comfortable. The bedroom was lovely, large (by UK standards) and bright with huge windows overlooking the mountain. Lovely views.

The en suite was small but that's expected for an old house and there was some mildew in the bathroom ceiling. It didn't affect our enjoyment though. The road to the hotel is single-lane with passing which was tiring after a long day's driving and was unexpected but obviously nothing to do with the hotel, just a heads up to others!

Fantastic experience. Loved the place. The decor - so quirky yet good. Very good room and comfortable bed. Ate here on the evening. Not the largest of menus but what we had was exceptional food. Good bar selection. Very quiet location. Only a continental breakfast but was made well aware of this BEFORE booking. Hot breakfast is available at a supplement. I am a cooked breakfast man BUT the continental breakfast provided was excellent and more than filled me!
