It's a trek to get to, but it's in a lovely location convenient to pretty walks. When they say dog-friendly, they really mean dog-friendly -- they brought dog biscuits down with breakfast, and have dog beds you can pull up next to or under your table at breakfast and dinner. The staff all seem to love dogs, and were so friendly, to us and our pup! The place is charming, and if you get stuck in bad weather, there's a cozy lounge with books and board games downstairs to get to know other guests. If you manage to book in for a Sunday roast, that's also well worth it, the food was excellent.

Our stay at Whitebridge was fabulous! We fell in love with this beautiful hotel: the atmosphere is so special and evocative, and everything that enriches the place makes the environment a little magical! The rooms are lovely, very clean, and with everything you need. The bed was super comfortable and we slept divinely. The restaurant and bar are delightful, and decorated in an extremely original way, and the food and drink are excellent! This little place is really special, made so by the very kind and welcoming staff. Last but not least, it is located in a really lovely area, close to lots of really beautiful naturalistic points. Thank you Whitebridge Hotel for the wonderful experience! We hope to return soon!

The hotel is quirky with traditional, Scottish vibe. Lovely comfortable lounge and excellent food in the evening in a fab music themed bar. The staff and owners very friendly. Our bedroom was nicely decorated with a good view. However the room and bathroom on the small side the positioning of the sink in the room itself is too close to the bed, a bit of a hazard. Breakfast food was good, but the room was cold and so a couple of people in our group were uncomfortable. We didn't think it was right that coffee was included in the breakfast but cappuccino was an extra charge.

We liked the eccentric decor, the crisp bedlinen and large bath towels. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a very nice dinner and there was a good choice of real ales. And thanks for the Tunnocks biscuits - our favourites!

We thought our room (8) represented poor value for money compared with others enjoyed on this holiday. The room was cramped and while having the wash basin in the room wasn't a problem in itself (apart from taking up space) there was nowhere to put toothbrushes, shaving stuff etc or to hang a hand towel. We used the unnecessarily large trolley. A small shelf and a hook or ring for a towel would improve matters. The shower / w.c. room was tiny and also suffered from lack of anywhere to put things. The base of the shower was very slippery - I was glad that I'd brought my own anti-slip mat. We were also disappointed by the 'mountain view' promised in our reservation - on offer was a building site with some forestry and a modest hill as background.

The downstairs of the hotel had an old and quaint decor, with the bar/restaurant having loads of things to look at and was very comfortable. The bedroom was lovely, large (by UK standards) and bright with huge windows overlooking the mountain. Lovely views.

The en suite was small but that's expected for an old house and there was some mildew in the bathroom ceiling. It didn't affect our enjoyment though. The road to the hotel is single-lane with passing which was tiring after a long day's driving and was unexpected but obviously nothing to do with the hotel, just a heads up to others!

Lovely old inn with lots of original features. The room was comfortable and well furnished. The bar area/restaurant had loads of character and the staff were very friendly. It was busy, even on a Monday night! The menu had a good variety of meals to suit all tastes. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Breakfast was exceptional. A continental buffet breakfast was included, with cooked items available as extra. The buffet included a range of cheese, cold meats, fruit, and yoghurts, a delicious change from a ‘full Scottish’!

The whole experience of this hotel was amazing so much so that we extended our stay while we were there. The location is fab for exploring Loch Ness and the surrounding villages. We had breakfast lunch and dinner in the hotel over various days of our stay, the food and staff at each were amazing and made some great whiskey recommendations. We had our dog staying with us and he was treated as if he was a paying guest with a bed and treats at our table and was spoiled by all the staff.

This was a lovely accommodation with thoughtful touches and amenities in the rooms and common areas. The mountain views are stunning, and the restaurant served up wonderful food and atmosphere for dinner. The location is perfect for a visit to Loch Ness area without being crowded by the bus loads of tourists. Staff was accommodating of special requests.

I would have loved more options at breakfast, but the homemade jam did make up for this!

loved the hotel itself, really felt like we were in Scotland! Owner shared some of the history with us, the decor was fabulous too. Food was great too, ate all meals there and they even packed us a lunch for a day of hiking. Emma was a friend right away, always eager to help any way she could. Our 3 day stay went way too fast!

No where to put our things in the room, would have liked a shelf or small space where we could unpack a few things or set our luggage on so it wasn't on the floor. Of course there are probably bigger rooms than the one we had, but we loved it anyway! We do understand the history has a lot to do with room size too!

Location was lush, nestled between a few mountains, just the sounds of the river which is very close and the swifts which fly about the car park and nearby. There isn't much traffic along this little B road that the property is situated on. The porch sort of bit by the entrance was great, comfy and relaxing. Food was superb, although I couldn't manage to finish it all. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, accommodating and helpful. Public footpath and hiking trail close by. Great for meditation or just to get away from the bustle of urban life. It's got a unique quirkiness about the decor, the residents lounge was very comfy and even a vinyl record deck and a heap of board and card games/books etc.
