Our room at the White Hart was spacious and comortable - the bed was very wide as it was two 3 feet beds joined together but these can be seperated on request. The room was also spotlessly clean. The view from our room was superb - it looked out across the rear lawn and the river estuary beyond. The hotel is close to RSPB Minsmere, as well as southwold and Aldeburgh.
WIFI coverage in the room was non existent.

We booked this stay on short notice and I got the date wrong but the manager was amazing and allowed us to stay for the 2 nights we had hoped to be there for. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to visit RSPB Minsmere, only 6 miles away. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely little touches of luxurious towels, cookies and toiletries. The view from the room was stunning as we looked over the river. The pub has a huge garden which was perfect to have a cold beer and dinner. The food was excellent as well. What made the stay just perfect was the staff! They were friendly, helpful and attentive. It has been a long time since I have reviewed a hotel where everything was just perfect. We would stay there again every time we head up that way.

Large room with great views (room 4) Lovely decor & soft furnishings in rooms. Kettle & well stocked tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits & large bottle of water in room. Selection of toiletries. Rooms serviced & items replenished daily. At first sight bathrooms decor appeared a little tired & dated, but was very clean. The over bath shower had great water pressure. Very large beer garden with direct access onto public footpath, great for dog walking. Parking directly outside. Nice traditional pub serving food. Friendly, helpful staff.
Our only slight complaint was that despite side plates, jams, marmalade, honey & butter being on the table we weren’t offered toast (I’m sure we could’ve requested some, but didn’t want to prolong service being the only ones left in dining room having come in later on at just after 9) Breakfast is done by a pre-order tick form you hand in the night before. Cereals, fruit & yoghurt and a nice selection of cooked breakfast dishes available to choose from. Breakfast served 8.30-9.30am, quite a short timeframe.

Well decorated comfortable rooms with beautiful outlook onto the estuary - excellent evening meal and although chef absent at breakfast due to family issues the waitress/housekeeper provided us with a delicious continental breakfast - chef did arrive before the end of breakfast and offered us further cooked food - however we were by then fully complet but have booked hotel/pub again and hope to enjoy a full English breakfast then
The pub is next to main road and therefore if you leave your windows open you can hear traffic early in the morning - however overnight it was very quiet and we slept well

Scenic location beside the river Blyth was great for two avid Birdwatchers! The windows opened for ventilation. The breakfast was excellent, with yoghurt and fresh fruit, choice of fruit juice, tea/coffee and a full English breakfast with sourdough toast. We also chose to eat there for the evening meals which were imaginative and tasty, there is always a Fish & Chip option which is popular. Private parking outside our room, made for extra ease. A window table reserved for breakfast was a kind gesture. Thank-you.
When booking, we wrote in to request one of the two rooms that had the best bird-watching views and were told that YES, it would be possible. However on arrival, despite mentioning our request, the girl on duty allocated us a corner room. This did not spoil our stay as every other aspect was excellent, however it could have been really perfect and I would have awarded excellent to all categories above, if this had been granted.

Friendly atmosphere. Staff were very attentive. Bedroom was spacious and bed very comfortable. Beautiful setting on bank of river with a lovely view from bedroom window.
Shower was over bath. I didn't use it as I've not got very long legs & bath panel was verh high which made it difficult to get into. For the price, I would have expected to see a few pictures on bedroom wall and the TV flex hidden rather than left dangling. It Breakfast choice had to be made the evening before which I found difficult as I never know until the morning what I might like. Ticking system didn't work as it only allowed for one person's choice. I had to amend a choice as my husband only wanted egg and bacon. It came as a full English anyway which was a complete waste of food. No toast provided & when I asked for some there was only sour dough bread.

The location was fabulous. Views from the room across the estuary. Walking through the pub garden directly onto a footpath around the estuary. Lots of birds to see, including curlews and cuckoos. Accommodation was excellent, comfortable and clean. Food was good - especially Thursday night special of moules et frites! Staff were thoughtful and efficient. Visiting Blythborough church and joining a free guided tour - so much to see.
Just a small thing but with just curtains and being midsummer the room became flooded with sunlight very early in the morning. A blackout blind would have helped, but the outstanding view more than compensated for this.

Backing on to the estuary, the views from the rooms at the White Hart are fabulous, and so quiet round the back of the main building…even with the busy A12 running in front of the pub. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and have good quality bedding and refreshments. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It’s a fantastic place to stay if you want to explore Southwold and Walberswick.
The one disappointment was despite informing them beforehand that I was vegan and requesting they have suitable things in for breakfast, they hadn’t got in any dairy free spread (even Flora will do), or an alternative to an egg (eg mushroom or avocado) in the vegetarian breakfast. It was a case of having their usual offering with bits removed. It felt like a lack of interest and would have taken very little effort to match the very high quality of the other breakfasts, that I could see being enjoyed.

It was a pleasure to spend the weekend at The White Hart Inn. The location is great, with easy road access and beautiful surrounding countryside whilst being within easy reach of Southwold. Our room was lovely and big, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were extremely welcoming to us and our dog throughout our stay. They are a hardworking, friendly team doing a great job. The bar and restaurant area is cosy and inviting with a roaring fire which was welcome after a long walk in the wind and rain. We tried a few different things from the menu over the two days and honestly cannot fault the food. Everything we ate was exceptional with plenty of vegetarian and meat options to choose from. We would happily stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the White Hart to anyone looking to stay in this area.

The staff in the bar, at dinner and at breakfast were all very friendly and attentive. It makes a huge difference to your holiday when the staff are so pleasant. The breakfast was lovely and we were offered juice and hot drinks as well as a cold started and hot meal. The pub itself is lovely and has a great country feel, it was nice and quiet too. The staff were very hospitable for our puppy who was allowed in the pub and there is plenty of space for her to explore out the back of the pub.
There was nothing that i didnt like enough to think of to mention.
