Clean and comfortable.I would probably visit again.

Against my better judgement I used the Over Bath shower, No anti slip mat was available. I slipped whilst showering , cracked my head above my eye and severely bruised my shoulder. The severity of the cut above my eyebrow entailed a visit to Chorley A&E Hospital, after a head CT scan and X-rays for my shoulder, the cut above my eyebrow was stitched and I was discharged. The hotel should provide walk in showers instead of a bath, in the meantime I suggest Non slip mats be made available, A Health and Safety issue surely.....

This Hotel had a great homely feel . An the staff were typical of the people I meet everyday I.e., Good Northern folks because I had only booked in a Chorley hotel because .... I actually live in Chorley and just needed some RESPITE FOR 1 NIGHT . THEN I went home on the bus .. Therefore , yes I would recommend this hotel for the Staff alone . A the chance to meet some nice fellow travellers at the very relaxed " quick breakfast ... The resident spider in the bath was not a problem either as I for on like spiders.

I honestly can't think of anything really .. but admittedly the view of the Duke of York's pub yard wasn't exactly smart . But I did ask for a room on the top floor and ended up in room 23.

We stayed for 2 nights and didn’t have the breakfast. We chose this hotel for the location and convenience of the Yarrow Bridge pub/restaurant as they were holding a wake for a family member for us. We had to travel from the south so needed a few nights in the hotel. All the staff were very accommodating, upon arrival we found our room’s heater wasn’t working and the receptionist was straight on it and got us a replacement heater. We booked a block of 5 rooms on Booking.com and found it to be a good price.

Nothing. It may be a little tired but no complaints, it was clean.

This is how a hotel should be run. The staff, especially the lady working there on reception, cooking and more worked so hard to make us feel welcome. The staff there are a real credit to the hotel. Other than that the hotel is very well located, very clean, quiet and has a nice pub on the grounds for evening meals. The breakfast at the hotel is very good, with highlights being the freshly made sausage bun and coffee (Latte, Cappuccino etc) which were excellent. All in all a very enjoyable stay for us.

The only improvement I could suggest in the very clean and functional rooms is power sockets by the bedside

Very clean, and had proper big towels! Not a hankerchief that fits around one leg! Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. Ideally situated for me. I needed the town centre and local hospital. It’s a former Premier inn and a little dated, but I found it comfortable and again, very clean. I had to stay an extra night and the staff were very accommodating.

Not having a breakfast restaurant, but I took porridge pots and cereal bars as I knew this beforehand. The pub next door I believe does breakfast/brunch from 10am weekdays but I don’t know what time next door.

This hotel was comfortable and located next door to a fantastic pub that sold food, there was also riding stables located directly behind the hotel that the proprietor kindly let us look around and say hello to the animals in his charge

The hotel is evidently an old premier inn as is noticeable because none of the decor has been changed in the years since it was taken over by the current owner best western, this isn't an issue except it looks shabby and could do with a make over in the rooms and a new air con and heating system installed as the heating wouldn't turn down past 23 and it was a hot day and night. The reception guy told us they only took card which was inconvenient as we had taken out cash to pay for our break, however on returning that night I was able to pay cash for a drink on the same desk so it was confusing whether or not they accept cash.

Very friendly welcoming staff, great location, plenty of parking space. The room was spacious and clean, and the double bed was comfortable, as was the single bed (we booked a twin room). All the expected basics, such as kettle, coffee/tea, etc, were available. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. Overall, the hotel was quiet apart from Saturday night (we stayed in room 4 which was very near the lobby/dining area).

On Saturday night, there was a group of guests (?) who were quite loud until around midnight. It sounded as though they were in the lobby area.

Staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. When we arrived the checkin staff saw my wife was in crutches so swapped our drom from upstairs to downstairs without any prompting. We also forgot a phone charger and were provided with a USB adapter for our cables. Just really good service and friendly people.

Not much. Shower with a shower hose that you could pick up would be nice but I'm nitpicking really.

The staff were very friendly. Rooms are clean and warm with comfortable beds, a great tv, tea/coffee and biscuits. Bathroom a good size and spotless. A short bus ride to the bus/train stations and the shops. We couldn't have chosen better. My 83 year old mum was thrilled as she'd lived in Chorley in the late '60s with my dad when my sister was a baby and my dad was attending the teaching college. We spent what would have been his 85th birthday walking through Astley Park and looking at their old house. Just perfect.

Eventhough the hotel is going through a refurb programme (room by room) & you have to mind out for uneven flooring in hallway. The actual stay was great! friendly staff, clean refurbed room, very spacey. Pub across car park, which is a flaming grill for those who know!. Does breakfast, lunch & of course dinner. Would recommend, if your that side of town.
