The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, but the best is how kind and super professional all the employees have been to me. As a foreigner from far, I had some questions and they have been smiling all the time and doing their best to help me. Thank you so much to all the personal in that hotel, they are great!

Breakfast is ok, you’re fed, but it’s not a gourmet one

The breakfast choices were very good especially the fresh fruit each day. The staff kept the tables and eating area exceptionally clean. We appreciated hot drinks and flavored water being made available throughout the day.

Excellent food selections available. Hot buffet including cheese omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage was MUCH appreciated as we are “carnivore” and don’t eat cereals or breads. Coffee, tea and citrus water 24/7 availability was also appreciated and used. There was also a good variety of breakfast seating centrally located in different formats for families, couples etc. Very pleasant and helpful front desk personnel at check in and with evening questions. Bed was very good - firm and not squishy - and very comfortable. Perfect for our preferences. Location was quiet. We felt safe. On site free parking was appreciated.

Was not able to access hotel wifi to check emails. My phone wifi app gave me a warning about the security certificate and would not allow me to proceed, even when the option to proceed was selected. Since our stay was only for one night and we were tired, we didn’t pursue the issue with front desk personnel.

Location was great for us, as we were dropping someone at Lakehead University. The breakfast was good.

Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to have many dinner choices close by after visiting Vetta spa.

Food Average….staff great.

Orillia in January might not be the warmest place on the planet but we were passing through and decided to rest up for a few days at the Fairfield. From the moment we arrived we were struck by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The receptionist (Kathryn) was very welcoming and asked about our travel plans and invited us to let her know if there was anything she could do for us. We were quickly settled into our room which was enormous. Beautifully appointed bathroom and my number one requirement …spotless. . Breakfast was included and it had everything you need to start the day. As a tea drinker I might suggest a kettle for boiling water as I never find the hot water urns hot enough for a proper cup of tea. Christa was on duty and she never stopped clearing and restocking the breakfast area even down on her knees at one point cleaning the cupboards. This is a great hotel but what puts it over the top is its staff who genuinely seem to love their jobs and the team they work with.

Like I mentioned perhaps a kettle in the dining room. There are kettles in the bedrooms though.

Good business hotel with acceptable breakfast.
