The staff were brilliant and very accommodating. I needed a slightly later checkout time which they accommodated for me, they were helpful, friendly and kind. We spent some time at the bar where we met the owners of the hotel. They were lovely and we enjoyed chatting with them and finding out the history of this family run hotel. We would definitely recommend staying here. We especially enjoyed the singing Barman who kept us entertained with Elvis songs whilst serving us our drinks. It is in a beautiful location and they made my friends wedding all the more enjoyable

Combining homeliness with luxury and spacious reception areas, this heritage property is beautiful. Gardens are tiered and exciting, with good SW facing decks overlooking them There's a generosity to food; the bread platter and dips served to every table is fabulous. Morris prints, botanicals, art works and plants dress the interior and a live fire welcomes.

I liked everything, Irish toiletries incl. plus their own well water.

Location was wonderful, Staff could not have been more helpful or accommiodating Room was really big and comfy bed Bathroom was spotless and towels were like new Breakfast was fantastic with every possible requirement available We also had dinner and had complimentary cocktail

Extraordinary Country Estate in the hearth of West Cork. The rooms are big and spotless clean with comfortable beds. Great breakfast selection in a lovely setting and excellent dinner in the main restaurant. Very friendly staff, I will definitely be back again.

Would highly recommend Fernhill House. Have stayed here multiple times and the staff go above and beyond to accommodate you. The food is lovely and the hotel itself is beautiful.

Beautiful setting with lovely gardens and views. Very comfortable bedrooms and delicious breakfast. The staff are excellent in all areas especially Sinead at reception. Great location on the edge of Clonakilty town.

My room didn’t have a view of the beautiful countryside but everything else was perfect.

Location was great. Free parking. Elegant surroundings… room and gardens. Breakfast was fabulous. Good choices at restaurant for dinner. Lots of history and art to observe during stay … enjoyed everything!

I had a very good evening meal. Would have liked more fish choices but the goats cheese starter and duck main were both very nice.

I had the eggs benedict for breakfast which was a bit disappointing and the coffee a bit tart.

Everything. The room was amazing, so spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was amazing!! Large free standing bath with beautiful mood lighting and the ceiling with the lights that looked like stars!!!…. one of the most relaxing baths I’ve ever taken. breakfast was so tasty. The staff were all wonderful too. They remembered that we asked for extra coffee at breakfast and the next day, when they cleaned our room, they added double the amount of coffee / milk etc in our room which I thought was so lovely of them!! Highly recommend to anyone

Nothing really but just one small little thing was that we booked to eat in the Restaurant on the first night but due to low booking numbers we were told it was closed so had to order from the bar menu. It was still a lovely meal but we were a little disappointed not to be able to eat in the main restaurant. We completely understood the situation though and still had a lovely evening.
