I arrived and the staff were very helpful and the hotel itself is in a good location. The room was in good order but needs a bit of a refresh although it was quite comfortable with good fittings. There is a good bar and the Breakfast was plenty and of good quality. Car Park on site.
Room on second floor with no lift, no air conditioning in the room and with the temps on the day the only fan was a small table fan, and an open window, the hotel is a little bit tired and could benefit for a good make over, but is still useable, car park on site but you need to get there early to guarantee a space, you have to pay £5.00 for parking but then there is a disclaimer for any damage poster on the car park, so why the £5.00 charge.

We stayed one night at the Cathedral Hotel en-route back home in order to meet up with friends. We had a very friendly welcome at check-in and a newly refurbished room on the Second Floor. It should be noted that this hotel does not have a lift at present. Good choice at breakfast. The Hotel is well located to visit Litchfield Cathedral and the old town. There is an extra charge for parking (£5) but we were able to leave the car at the Hotel the following morning to explore the Town.
Lack of a lift to the second floor but staff willing to help with any baggage.

The staff were very welcoming from the start to checking out. They were also very friendly and professional at all times. The breakfast was perfect, lots of variety to choose from, the waitresses who served you were fast and friendly. My room was very spacious and comfortable, included house keeping which was a added bonus. The location was fantastic, short walk from Lichfield and the Cathedral. I would definitely recommend staying here and would return. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Nothing to dislike, perfect ten out of ten!!

We arrived 2 hours before the check-in time, just to leave our bags while we looked around the Cathedral, but we were actually allowed to checkin and use the room straight away....much appreciated! Room was larger than expected, with one double bed and one single. All very clean. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Good location, very near the Cathedral.
The room was overlooking a busy road, so traffic noise was noticeable, but only when the window was open. It was too cold to open the window during the night during our stay, but in the summer this could be an issue.

Not too far out of town, with parking. A comfortable room and good breakfast, with plenty of choice, including lots of fresh fruit. Friendly, helpful staff. We were warned the central heating had broken down, but the portable radiator provided did a great job and we were comfortably warm. Nice to have the parking charge waived as a goodwill gesture because of the heating.
A very minor niggle was the strange way the toilet was tucked into the corner of the bathroom, with towel rail forcing you to sit at an angle. Not a major problem for us, but would have been difficult for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Warm, friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. There was issues with the central heating but the hotel supplies an electric heater which made the room warm and cosy. The power shower was superb. This was our second visit to the hotel which is really in a good location and near the town centre. We really appreciate older hotels are expensive to maintain, but their prices are very competitive. Will we stay there again? Definitely YES!
The room looked tired and small areas of the room required more cleaning attention especially the mattress cover. My wife and I both found the bed a little hard to sleep on and wish it was a little bigger? The bathroom was quite small and also looking tired. The toilet seat is misaligned and very close to the wall, However, the shower was superb but the curtain kept getting in the way when moving around as it was quite close to the bath edge, maybe a shower screen would resolve this issue? Floor tiles looked grubby, but that might be because of age and wear? But overall it is functional.

Even walking into the hotel, we had a nice feeling and a lovely welcome. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable. Even though it was an extremely hot weekend, there was a fan and a window to open safely. The breakfast was very tasty with a large choice of items and very attentive staff. Overall, the staff were the champions of this hotel - they multi tasked constantly and always with such a friendly and willing attitude and smiles too. Would definitely recommend.
Nothing at all.

Location is great. Just a short walk in the centre of Lichfield. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about area) Hotel checked us into hotel and allowed us to park our vehicle in carpark at 10am (check into bedroom 3pm) so we could go and explore Lichfield. Breakfast was amazing!
Bedroom was so hot! We could open the window a little and there was a portable fan in the room, but it was too warm for us. Wouldn’t put us off using it again though! We stayed in July, temperatures approximately 22 degrees.

I liked how clean the room and bathroom was and it was comfortable with drawers a dressing table and wardrobe. All the appliances you might need were there to use hair dryer, internet connection, fan and TV with a kettle to make hot drinks .The breakfast dining room had a good choice with excellent pleasant staff .
The steps up to first floor are not a problem if you have no fear of having a fall. A man kindley carried my case up. If there are rooms on the ground floor.I would have preferred one.

A very pleasant welcome with plenty of welcome information regarding restaurants etc.. The room was adequate although more drawer space would be a good idea. Breakfast was buffet style over the weekend, but cooked to order come Monday. The location was reasonably close to Lichfield Cathedral, the entrance to which is free. Bar snacks are available, the prices for these and drinks matches the local pubs. Service was good with friendly staff. Recommended.
Lack of drawer space in the room.
