The Lodge is in a great location and is more than adequate for a weekend stay in Broken Hill. The pool was sparkling clean and very much needed as it was very hot. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us. Comfortable at a budget price. I have previously stayed in the main part of the Lodge but thihs time was in the motel part and it was fine. Quiet and comfortable

The rooms are predictably old and there are a few things that didn't work however the minute I brought this to the attention of the manager she did her best to resolve it. Any shortcomings were easily outweighed by the positives.

Location was great. I was there for Broken Heel festival so it was just a 10-12min walk. Loved the retro feel of the room. I needed to do washing and there was a washing machine & dryer for free. Yay!

The room was pretty small but I was just one person but if there were 3 people in the room it would have been very cosy. But it was good for me. The only problem was getting a knock on the door at 8 or 8.30am when everyone there was at the festival & we were getting in late so being woken so early not great. There wasn't anything to hang on the door to say do not disturb.

Beautiful Federation era historic decor building in a quiet area close walking distance from main CBD; overall high standard of cleanliness; fantastic air-conditioning for 45°C days; comfortable bed; hot shower; all necessary kitchen facilities available; fast WiFi; great availability of TV channels.

Abrupt unwelcoming reception staff upon check in; pool closed (gate locked) despite 45°C days.

Rudeness and disinterest from manager/ office attendant lady. Obviously she didn’t like that we booked through bookings.com as even basic questions were answered with “check with your booking agent”

The room was a bit dated, but was clean and comfortable. Having a microwave and some kitchen ware was very useful. It was also good value for money when compared to other accommodation venues that I have stayed in the past at Broken Hill.

I was basically happy with everything. The bathroom was a bit cramped.

The location was excellent and close to the centre of the city. Able to walk everywhere which was great. The washing facilities for your clothes was great and helped us out a great deal. Staff were friendly and helpful when required. It had everything we needed for our stay.

We stayed in a budget unit, which was great value for money. The room was a bit dated but comfortable and had everything we needed. Comfy QS bed. Great that there is a laundry for guests.

A couple of bulbs missing from the overhead fan/light but there are plenty of other lights. Toilet paper dispenser needs to be replaced.

Location was great, we were only there as a transit stop over and it was perfect. Nothing flashy, so if thats your thing you may look elsewhere but if not this is perfect stopover. Real retro vibe

Only off putting thing was you got whiffs of previous occupants body odour on top bed cover

We stayed in a motel style room at the side. Although it was dated, it was very convenient to be able to park our small campervan at the door, and the facilities were good - small kitchenette, table and chairs inside, and outside, comfortable bed, good linen. On departure, the lady on reception showed me one of the rooms in the historical guest house. It was gorgeous and not expensive. I would like to try it next time.

No complaints.

It was cosy and clean. The bathroom was a little cramped and the AC didn't warm up the room on a cold night. Overall it was quiet and had what we needed on our short stay. Comfortable.

The AC didn't work in warming up our room :( but no biggie, the blankets were warm enough for us.
