-sadly right next to the highway (still great location to walk to town or go hike/bike etc. from). -When we arrived the kitchen was closed for 1.5days due to a fire. So no access to hot water/coffee/fridge/microwave for the first evening and until early afternoon the next day. Staff was friendly enough to let us store left over food that needed refrigerated in a back up fridge. We understand that accidents can happen, still quite inconvenient when you are counting on having access these facilities upon arrival. The property could maybe warn arrivals about known potential inconveniences up front (when possible). We were lucky we did not already have more fridge items or dire need for the facilities.

This hostel was definitely one of the top hostels I have stayed in. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm, each bunk had their own lamp, mini shelf, charging point, hooks on the bunks, extra hooks near the door, on the sides of the 'lockers', each bunk also had a locker you can bring your own padlock for. The room also had a mini sink and a mirror. The kitchen was large and had plenty of equipment to use for everyone. 10-15minute walk into the main downtown area and a few minutes walk to the info centre. Coffee in the morning for everyone to have was a really nice touch. The main bathroom with showers and toilets was always clean.

There is such a cozy atmosphere in this hostel, I really enjoyed staying there! The staff is very nice and helpful, and you'll have a beautiful view of the river and mountains surrounding the place. It was quiet despite the highway nearby. There is a supermarket close to it, which is practical. You can rent bikes for free, which is very useful to visit places around.

This is unfortunately a general fact in Canada which has not much to do with this particular hostel: the accommodation is expensive, whether you're staying in hostels/dorms, or not...

What breakfast? We were only offered tea or coffee. But the whole set up with boxes in fridge and shelf was super organized. The eating area seemed a bit cramped. We absolutely liked all the young international workers at the place. We would absolutely stay again, but in an othet room

The room I booked seemed too small for 2 double beds. No room for a chair and a little desk/ table to sit and write or look into a map. Lamps over each bed, like in bunk bed rooms would be a better idea for individual beds. One soap in room for 4 is not enough

We absolutely loved our stay at Squamish Adventure Inn & Hostel! We booked a double bed with a private bathroom during the holiday season, and everything exceeded our expectations. The services were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. The hostel has a cozy vibe with great amenities, including a room perfect for Netflix and chilling, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable dining area. They even have a designated smoking zone and play beautiful music, adding to the relaxed atmosphere.

The Adventure Inn was a great hostel. We were in a private room so we had a bit more space, but in the main hostel there was lots of space to cook, relax, eat and plenty of outdoor seating, so a really nice relaxed atmosphere. A great location too within easy walking distance of the bus stop at the Adventure Centre, and also walking distance from town. Very well organised in the fridges and shelf space and by self-catering we really kept our costs down. We had to ask for towels and a hairdryer, but both were free and readily available. Also there was a great space to store luggage after check out which meant we didn't have to be lugging it around with us all day.

We could hear our neighbours above, so ear plugs were handy, but no big deal and expected in such a big hostel.

The backyard is a wonderful gathering spot, the communal kitchen functions beautifully, the staff is friendly and helpful, the slackline provided our kids (and the adults!) with endless entertainment, and the room was comfortable. There are lots of young, outdoorsy climber types here but also plenty of families with little kids, older folks out for adventures and everything in between. Really appreciated the diversity and we met many lovely people from all over.

The kitchen could use more forks. That’s it, that’s my only criticism.

Hostel vibe-hotel lodging is exactly right. My family of 5 absolutely loved this concept. It’s been our favorite Canadian lodging. There are so many fascinating people to meet, but lots of places for privacy as well. You can easily stroll into down for food, or make use of the well stocked kitchen. More room in the front than I expected and lots of security. We booked the private room (6 bucks for the 5 of us) and got exactly that-privacy and comfort. I wish every city in the world had a Squamish inn!

For some reason -not sure of this is typical out of there was a problem- they closed the washrooms for cleaning ~30’ before checkout. They had washrooms available in a lower floor but this was inconvenient. I don’t understand why the scheduled cleaning wouldn’t happen after guests had checked out, at 11. Maybe my experience of unusual tho.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The place was clean, practical and it was in a great location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The free use of bikes was a bonus! Everything in the kitchen area was so well organised and functional. There is a lovely outdoor area to have your meal or hang out with people. It's also a walking distance to the centre and a grocery store. Everything was perfect.

A clean, well managed and organized Hostel. Kudos to Josh and his volunteers! Coming in every night to a big multi-generational family of fellow travellers was a comfort - guests were like a happy family all under one roof. It was a bit like coming home. Josh takes interest in his guests and goes out of his way to help everyone and make them comfortable.

I had never slept in a dorm before and found it could be a bit noisy at night - my learning curve, next time I will bring some ear plugs as I noticed other more seasoned hostel travellers were equipped with.
