A very warm and friendly check in process, with great service throughout our stay. The room was serviced daily, whether requested or not, and quality toiletries, towels, tea and coffee replenished every day. The room was very spacious with 2 very comfortable large double beds, and the shower over a bath was fantastic, with good water pressure. The air conditioning unit was a godsend, as even in September, we did have a few warm days. I would describe the room as fairly basic, but very comfortable, and very, very clean, which for me, takes priority over unnecessary decor or fixtures. The breakfast which was included, was a real bonus, with fruit, pastries, cereal, porridge, toast and other items on offer, along with a fantastic coffee machine. This offers a great saving on spending $30 to $50 a day if getting breakfast in one of the local eateries. Superb location, which is virtually central in downtown Squamish, close to most amenities, and within easy level walking distance to some of the better bars/cafes/eateries in town. Our room faced onto a main road with a fabulous view of a park and the ‘Chief’ mountain, and had no issue with excessive noise or traffic passing by. Very enjoyable 9 night stay visiting family, and would recommend highly.
Nothing to dislike. There is very limited accommodation available in Squamish, and what is available is very expensive, but this was reasonably priced (although still fairly expensive), and having visited Squamish 3 times now, this is by far the best for value, location and comfort.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate a late check in. The rooms were a goos size and contained 2 Queen sized beds which suited my adult son and I. The location is very close to the Main Street with restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and a small supermarket as well as banks etc. There was free parking on site and street parking also available. There is a small park across the road. Larger supermarkets and the main highway are only a. Few minutes away. Several prominent hikes are within 10 minutes drive (Stawamus Chief, Sea to Sky, Smoke Bluff). There is a washing machine for guest use requiring coins. Toiletries are provided and also a daily service to change towels etc. (not needed for us but others may like this). Free coffee and pastries/biscuits were available in reception each day and well as kettle and fridge in the rooms with some tea/coffee supplies. Competitive price for Squamish

The hotel is super cute - very clean, very comfortable, and the perfect spot to stay in Squamish for a night or two. The hotel looks like it was recently renovated (they did a great job!) The rooms were spacious and clean, had a microwave and kettle and mini-fridge, and the breakfast area was really nice (they serve Nespresso coffee and it was delicious!). The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful too. It's a great location and there is free parking! I would absolutely stay there again. A fantastic (and affordable) choice in downtown Squamish. And overall, a really nice hotel!
Nothing!

We had a great stay at August Jack Inn! The location is fantastic — close to everything in Squamish and with beautiful views. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee available in the lobby from 8am.
A couple of things to note: the room got quite hot and the AC unit was a bit noisy. Also, the kitchenette lacked some basic essentials like oil or salt, and coffee was only provided for the first day (though more was available at reception). Still, overall a very good experience and we’d happily stay here again!

August Jack was able to provide a ground floor room for one of our family who would have had difficulty with stairs unknown to me beforehand and was a change from our request to be located closed together - very pleased with that.
The only problem was that Booking.com did not provide August Jack with my name, Christine Gillis, who made the reservation and paid for both rooms. I was asked for a name for the second room and gave my brother-in-law’s name which was then sent to August Jack as the only name for the reservations and which caused considerable confusion.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure I felt comfortable in every possible way. The place itself was quiet and peaceful, with a very convenient and special location. The room overlooking the main street lacked a bit of privacy when sitting in the terrace, but other than that, it was very good, clean & comfortable. It would have been even better if there was a wardrobe and an iron in the room. There was no coffee machine, but the instant coffee provided was surprisingly delicious! If I ever come back to Squamish, this hotel will definitely be at the top of my list. I’d love to stay here again!

Former backpackers turned parents traveling with a toddler who enjoy great accommodations for a fair price. This one definitively fits the bill. Nicely decorated rooms, comfy beds, and bonus point for the kids playground right behind the hotel (don't worry non parents the playground is not noisy).
Must admit that the post booking / pre arrival process is likely the most cumbersome we have seen in a looooong time. Got something like 10+ emails/reminders/important reminders. Goo bless the good old check in when we get to the accommodation in person.

Very clean room. Good coffee (luxurious nespresso machine) in the reception room in the morning (with nice muffins too). So even if this motel is not providing breakfast, if you are ok with a muffin and a good coffee, you have had breakfast. * Quiet environment * Friendly staff
If you have a higher vehicle, you have the access the parking from the back. We had to since we were arriving with an RV. However, the back road is not in a very good condition so I had to be careful when driving.

The rooms have been renovated and were very clean (e.g., white walls that are very white). Fresh linens regularly and AC. Having AC in the room while getting ready (for a wedding) was HUGE! That alone made it worth the money. Because it's an older building, the breaker did keep flipping when using AC + another high energy item (electric kettle, blow dryer, steamer), but the office staff were extremely responsive and flipped it back immediately (even at 1am).
Because it's an old building, the breaker kept flipping when we had more than just the AC on (e.g., blow dryer and AC, kettle and AC). We adjusted and it was not a big deal b/c the office staff were extremely responsive - always answering the phone and flipped the breaker back right away.

- very helpful staff, we made a request to have two rooms close to each other and they actually made sure to make it happen (yes that’s not something every hotel would accommodate; actually we found that many hotels don’t even read other special requests) - spacious and clean room - excellent location with a mountain view
- one of the rooms we had (I think room 105), the door doesn’t shut unless you slam it super hard, hope the hotel would fix that.
