The ambience of the resort was unique - old western, 1960s glamour. The entire place was decorated for Christmas. It was great! The room was spacious. The on-site bar was friendly and had great live music. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. We would go back and stay again!

We stayed for multiple nights and missed the signage about calling the front desk by a certain time in order to get housekeeping (towels/glasses/etc.) during our stay. The restaurant was great for breakfast, but the dinner selection was limited because of an event on site.

friendly helpful staff the over 55 lady at the front desk was awesome! thanks for the wood on the fire in the lobby and fixing my room floor level with my post-op knees! everyone very friendlily hotel clean just worn a bit in the rooms and dated and the mattress was lumpy a bit uncomfortable but still plush maybe it’s a bit old the layout of the facility was great I would go back and try the branding iron restaurant this time. the live music in the bar was a hard no. the poor man can not sing. instrumentals were good.

Staff and Cleanliness the rooms actually had soap and shampoo you would actually use if need be.

We have stayed there in the past and has been the only place we stay when we need a hotel in Kerrville. We have always loved the pool. The rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable. The front desk and maintenance staff have always been very friendly.

The A/C filter was dirty. We cleaned the filter since the room had a musty smell. The cleaning helped. Check out is at noon but we had housekeeping cleaning rooms around us at 10am and knocking on our door asking when we would be out.

The lobby makes a good first impression, I liked the rustic feel. A nice change from the typical chains I am used to. The rooms are large and well equipped with modern furnishings. The TV was a big screen and fairly new, with a good assortment of channels.

The property, common areas, hallways, and walls in the rooms show their age. The showerhead needs to be updated. The ac is not connected to a thermostat, so it runs constantly and makes it difficult to get the temp right.

Pool needs some circulation. I think all the lights in the lobby area need to be a soft glow. Some where bright white and it was kind of ugly. Change all the light bulbs!!

We loved staying at the Y O Ranch Hotel it was my grandkids first time. We loved the pool and it was so close to our room that was wonderful. The lobby is out of this world I love the western feel. I stayed there 39 years ago with my parents, husband and daughter. I was expecting my son. We were very comfortable every time we have stayed there.

Our room (so I’m sure the others) needed repairs and updating. The curtains were badly torn, and there was mold in the shower. The hallway smelled musty, moldy.

The beds were very comfy, value was great

The rooms and ac /heating units could use updating. It’s hard to tell if it’s going to be too hot or too cold without a temperature gauge on the unit and I kept waking up to turn it up or down

Breakfast cost was high, but food was great.

The person who only served coffee added a 20% tip to the bill - all she did was serve coffee. Never had a server of any kind add their own tip.

Location to freeway, pet friendly, beds were extremely comfortable Linens were fresh and clean

Pet friendly but my dog had sticker burrs in his paws from grass
