Edward, his family and his property are fantastic, the breakfast was superb as was the accommodation, my only regret was that we only had one night there. This place is a real Gem, very close to the airport, a good local supermarket over the road and 5 minutes walk from food outlets and other places to eat. Despite being in San Jose, and just off a popular road, it was surprisingly tranquil, we will return on our next visit to Costa Rica.

The location was perfect for our early fight out of Costa Rica. As we arrived later in the day to SAN Jose and did not plan on doing anything due to early flight, the place was exactly what we needed. The family greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful. They spoke English which was a great benefit for us. The place was bigger than we expected. It had a full kitchen , living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. It also has a separate terrace area which was tranquil and relaxing! In the morning, the owner drove us to the airport which was very convenient and appreciated.

It was perfect for our needs

I genuinely have never had such a positive rental experience in my life! The apartment was super clean and recently renovated, it was easy to find and checkin and checkout were seamless. What really stood out however was the host. Edward is the MAN! He stayed up late to make sure we got checked in okay and was checking Air Canada flights since I forgot to tell him that we would be arriving by car. He also dropped my friends that I was travelling with off super early at the airport (4 in the morning!) and helped me find transportation to my next destination. A week after I left Alajuela, my shuttle got cancelled last minute and I didn't know how I would get to the airport on time, so I reached out to Edward to see if he knew of any alternatives and he offered to drive me almost THREE HOURS from La Fortuna to the airport for a very reasonable price. He gave excellent local recommendations, taught me a bit of Spanish on the drive, and was always patient and smiling throughout every interaction I had with him. Such a lovely family run business, I would recommend this accommodation to anyone!

Literally nothing, my expectations were exceeded in every way

Edward was a great host! On our way from the airport to Edward we got scammed by an unofficial “taxi” who tried to raise the price and drove in circles in a shady area. We called Edward from the way and he stayed on the line with us until we got to the place. He also waited outside and helped us with handling the payment to the scammers. He really made us feel secure and welcome in Costa Rica. Other than that we had a great stay, the room is big and accommodating and the breakfast was great. Edward offers shuttles from and to the airport which we will use next time around. Overall, We highly recommend Edward’s place

Booked with every intention of staying the night and traveling to the coast the next day. My flight was delayed until the next morning, so didn’t get to stay. Others in my group did make the night and said the stay was wonderful! Facilities were clean and breakfast was amazing! The owner was very attentive and responsive to messages my messages and understanding of the situation. Even picked up friends from the airport. If in the area again and need a night stay, will try and book again.

Edward is helpful and communicative ready to assist with trip planning. We arrived later than expected and he was quick to get us parked right by the stairs up. Very good breakfast for about US $8 per person. Very nicely decorated and designed like small studio apartment. Close to rental cars and airport in a lively neighborhood

Taking luggage upstairs, busy street below the balcony so a little noisy. Can be a little difficult to find if you arrive after dark. Bedrooms are rather small, but the living space is sufficient for 2-3 people to watch TV and eat meals.

Eduardo and his wife are charming and excellent hosts. My flight was significantly delayed by tropical storm Julia, arriving at almost 1 am. After over 20 hours of travel, I was extremely relieved to have communications from Eduardo awaiting me upon my arrival. He was right there to pick me up and transfer to the family's inn. The room was spotless, well-equipped and comfortable. I only had a few hours there but would have loved to get to know him and his family. This is a nice family who is resourceful and proud of their accommodations. I will stay there again en route to my vacation home in Dominical and will definitely recommend them to our guests who are looking for a place to stay close to SJO before/after staying at our vacation rental.

Very close to the airport, nearby restaurants, grocery store across the street. It's one of our favorite places we stayed during our 3 week visit! The family who owns the house is very warm and welcoming and assists you with whatever help or info you need. Our room came with a fully stocked kitchen, large fridge, coffee maker, microwave. Also with AC! Bed very comfortable, nice shower! There is a very cozy terrace next to the room. We will be back! Loved it! Thank you so much! Christine and Dave

Edward was very helpful, reliable and fair. He picked me up from the airport and took me back for my flight. He also helped me to arrange for a taxi pickup in Puerto Jimenez, where I was headed. The apartment is clean, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a longer stay and is eco- friendly. Two bedrooms, new bathroom and shower. Supermarket within a short walk.

If you are a light sleeper, I recommend to bring ear plugs as the place can be a bit noisy ( planes, cars).

The owner and his family were friendly, welcoming and very reliable. Not only did Edward pick us up from the airport, he also ordered pizza for our arrival. The apartment fridge was stacked with water, cold beers and even soft drinks for the kids. This was greatly appreciated as our flight arrived late in the evening and all the restaurants were closed. The unit was clean, safe and close to the airport. I would recommend this rental to anyone travelling to Costa Rica. Thank you Edward for your hospitality!
