We travel a lot and I have to say, this was one of our top favorite places in the world that we got to stay. What a special place, with the kindest owner. He picked us up and took us to the airport for a reasonable fee. He prepared us amazing breakfast and early dinner with mussels and fries. It’s a very unique property, surrounded by nature and there’s even a resident goose Charlotte that we all loved. Highly recommend!!! So close to the airport, 10 min drive. Very comfortable rooms, the one with the kid’s bunk bed was so fun! We will be back one day I’m sure!!

There’s nothing negative we could think of. It was perfect.

We booked this for our final night in Belgium before flying back to the UK. It was also my son's birthday and when we inquired about a Birthday Cake, the owner was kind enough to go and get one without hesitation. On arrival we were met by the staff member who looked after us and served us the home made Bolognese which was delicious and enough for all. Our room was a family room with an old ensuite, it's quite a size and although a little dated but you are not finding the size of the rather large bath in many places. We spent the evening in the saloon playing snooker whilst listening to music. There were also other guests playing cards in the main hall whilst snacking and having their own drinks which isn't a problem. In the morning there was no rush for us to leave after vacating the room as the airport was 10 mins away I've noted some reviews on here and you need to understand this is a beautiful old chateau so it's never going to be 5 star. However the history inside and out is wonderful and that's what makes it different from a standard boring hotel. We never met the owner so gutted not to sample his local brew, all in all it was a wonderful stay.

Château Lambert is a beautiful place, full of charm. Rococo, art-deco, neo-classic - the good old European style. The room was gorgeous, the bed was big and comfortable. The location is green and quiet. It was indeed the perfect oasis for one night - before our early morning flight. We were greeted with a smile and immediately felt at home in this elegant-funky place. Dinner (famous pasta Bolognese) was tasty and made the kids happy. The hosts are very friendly, and offer flexible and generous check in and out times. They kindly offered to send us back an item we left behind. We highly recommend it to whoever would like to stay close to Charleroi airport ( a small airport, much nicer and much more convenient than the bigger Brussels airport (Zaventem).

After a cancelled flight and no new flight available for two days we quickly booked to stay at Philippe's beautiful Château. Within 15 minutes of calling, he was able to collect us from the airport with the shuttle. Despite being so close to the airport there was no air traffic noise, it was a lovely old building filled with all sorts of souvenirs and activities to do. The dinner and breakfast's we had were very tasty and the rooms were very big and spacious. A very big thanks to Philippe as he was super helpful and quick to communicate with any issue we had. Would certainly go back and stay again :)

Would recommend a car if you are staying around the area for multiple nights to allow you to explore the area more as taxi's do not seem readily available. Transport to and from the airport is not a problem though with the properties shuttle service.

Lovely peaceful place. So accommodating, from dinner when I arrived, flex time for breakfast, adjusting check out time. Really relaxed environment, and a beautiful building, and decor, very authentic. People were lovely, breakfast was great and it was sooooo close to the airport, but felt like it was a real country Château. Room was spacious, comfortable and so clean!

The chateau is a unique and fabulous property, filled to the brim with fascinating artwork, furniture and quirky decorative pieces. Our host was incredibly hospitable, and cooked the most marvellous supper of spaghetti bolognese (for us) and excellent moules frites (for my son): both deliciously hearty dishes and most welcome on the rainy December night that we arrived. All the guests sat down at the same communal table and ate dinner together, which was a lovely sociable occasion - and our host speaks multiple languages so most guests can be confident they’d be able to communicate with him easily! Our family room was spacious and warm, with a very comfortable ornate double bed, and bunk-beds for our children (the London Double-Decker bus styling of the bunkbeds brought a smile to my teenagers’ faces). En-suite bathroom contained a huge bath and shower and there was plenty of hot water, plus twin sinks which is useful for a family room.

My only suggestion is that the en-suite bathroom could use a blind or curtain on the window for privacy.

Amazing villa close to Charleroi airport which offer shuttle bus too so very convenient

We booked the dinner thinking there was the restaurant (as reviews say food is great) but we arrived 15’ late due to traffic, I informed via booking but none was there anymore when we arrived to wait for us, so our 3 y old started to cry and we had to look for alternatives at 9pm so not ideal when we had an early flight the day after.. just careful that there is no restaurant service

A unique experience as you enter a time warp. The decorations are fascinating and you feel like you have been invited into a very old family home. Maria looked after us beautifully and served us with a wonderful spaghetti Bolognese and a huge breakfast with so much choice😁

this property has character , it is a beautiful 200 year old building and I loved it ! Phillip the host was outstanding , and goes out his way to make you very welcome ! we won’t talk about his own brand beer…. it is to die for !! although the bedrooms may be not to everyone’s taste, I certainly enjoyed the stay and slept well. I think more people should support individuals like this venue rather than lining the pockets of chains

Nothing really, fruit juice at breakfast would be nice, possibly also yoghurt but that's a personal choice.
