The environment, the quietness and to really feel how relaxing the resort is. We love the scenery, how well the place is looked after and to just enjoy the activities and surroundings.

Firstly the book-in time of 15h00 is a bit late for us, as you do pay for a full day already but can only access the resort from 15h00. Then also need to be out by 10h00 are not making sense. Another thing is the fact that you can not use wood at the braai area at your chalet, this is really a moment killer for me.

I liked the fact that our accommodation had a fire place and the house was warm form my kids, play area and swim area kept my kids really busy. The staff who looks after the kids in play area, life guides at reach. It was an awesome place and I am going to book it again.

Our family holiday was absolutely wonderful, especially for the kids! Everything was conveniently located and within easy reach, making it so stress-free for us as parents. The kids had plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and all the facilities were close by. The layout of the place was incredibly well thought out, with everything placed just where you needed it. It truly made our family getaway seamless and enjoyable for everyone!

Chalets: Perfect. Rooms are clean and packed with all the essentials needed at a resort. Lodge: Family and kid-friendly, it offers everything, serenity, views, games, great food, etc. Worth every penny. I loved it. Shout out to Welile, in the reception area, very warm and welcoming.

The lodge executives should consider having an outdoor swimming pool with cold water, the heated pool can be quite warm on sunny days. This past weekend was hot so it was unbearable to be inside the heated pool. Otherwise, great place. 100% recommend.

The Resort is beautiful, clean and has everything you need in a family vacation home. It has great facilities and activities for families with small kids, it’s central to everything you need in Clarens. We loved the indoor heated pools as we arrived late afternoon but my son got to play in the water till late which was great and the lifeguard was very friendly and helpful. The games room is awesome, especially the one inside the restaurant as I could enjoy my meal while my 4yr old son entertained himself with with little supervision needed. The food is really good and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful, good communication throughout, there’s lots to do for excursion activities and reasonably priced as well. We went to the Golden Gate for breathtaking views, boat paddling in the lodge dam and horseback riding tour across the road at Extreme Adventure.

Facilities and location. Kids loved the warm swimming pool. The area was clan and open and fantastic for taking a walk. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. The view from the room was great.

No air conditioning. The room was for four people but the lounge converted bedding is a poor choice and quite hard and uncomfortable. Floor was very cold. Also encountered a large baboon outside the door shortly after arrival and my eldest daughter was reluctant to go outside after that without her father, so limited her adventure

Great facilities, especially for kids! Location is fantastic, and there's lots to do for everyone. The rooms are well equipped and cleaned very well. Great management. I hope it stays strong!

The convenience store is a bit pricey, and they don't show the costs per item in the shelves. So when you go to pay for a couple of items you are slightly shocked Since it is mostly self-catering, just make sure you take your own supplies ;)

The room was spacious, everything was pristine and everything worked well. Everything for your basic needs (simple groceries, Food, Washing machines, etc.) was achievable without leaving the premises. The premises were securely gated by using a passcode.

The TV didn't have Internet, so I had to enter the complex Wifi password using the TV remote. The Wifi was slow (compared to European standards, everything else i can't tell)

The lodge is very family friendly with lots to keep the kids busy and a lovely indoor pool that allows you to keep swimming despite imclement weather. The chalet is also comfortable and feels like home with the braai facilities and large patio.

The chalet initially allocated to me did not look like what was shown on Booking.com. It took a lot of arguing with the front desk to get reassigned to accommodation that looks like the pictures on this site. They initially put me in some overflow apartment type of place that had a steep dark staircase and that was not good at all.

he lodge itself would like if there were some take away options besides the onsite restaurants ( maybe offer some of the town option + delivery ) just to get more out of the experience of Clerens also maybe 1 night activity would be nice, ( bonfire , star gazing , something with glow sticks ) golden gate was a disappointment ( its and expensive drive with little of what they advertise essentially )
