We really enjoyed the hikes, which is easy for all ages. The mountain views from the open air chapel was stunning. We did 3 hikes in total but still did not get to explore everything, so will need to go back! We booked the Villa, a nice size for a family of 4. It was not cramped in any way. Everything was very neat and tidy, with a rustic theme. The unit has a private patio with a couch where you can relax and hear the peaceful waterfall in the garden, and also a fireplace which came in handy for chilly nights, although it wasn't terribly cold during our visit at the end of April. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming, and we enjoyed their company. It was nice hearing about the history of the farm and the area. Overall a great experience for our family.

The only thing I missed is WiFi, but I guess you need to weigh why you're going away, and keep time on phones and laptops to a minimum.

The chalets were exceptionally comfortable (I loved my bed!), and they were very well equipped for our stay. The decor was also amazing, and it felt both homey and luxurious. The hosts were especially accommodating for our group, who wanted to have their own rooms. They went so far as to put us up in chalets next to each other to allow our group to stay together on the property, which was greatly appreciated. They also let one couple move to a room that suited them better. Our favorite thing was a tour of the workshop - we told the hosts we are part of an engineering society, and we got a tour of the workshop and tractors! It made it a fantastic trip, and we will definitely be back again. I highly recommend this spot for its comfort and accommodating hosts.

Affilande is a lovely peaceful place to relax and be refreshed. Our cottage was spacious and very comfortable. Adri and Leon are wonderful, friendly and helpful hosts. They advised us on the best roads to use to Clarens, Golden Gate and to and from the farm. We loved the decorations inside the cottage and outside in the garden. The huge bath and shower is great! There is a great place for interesting photo's at the wooden doors in the garden. The restaurant on the property is excellent, we had tasty large burgers with chip sticks. The indoor braai in the cottage works very well and we had a great braai. The country roads around the farm to Fouriesburg and on to Clarens and Golden Gate have spectacular mountain views, we enjoyed it so much and we took lovely pictures! Thanks so much for hosting us, we would love to come back to see your little church on the mountain.

Everything was perfect, it is just a pity that the heavy rain on the last day prevented us from exploring more on the farm.

A fantastic, comfortable spot in rural setting. Great place to enjoy morning walks, an evening braai and watch the sunset over the mountains. Very accommodating hosts, we hope to come back!

We stayed in The Bloureen villa. It was the perfect site to have a romantic and relaxing weekend. The lounge area is spacious and the kitchen has everything you need. The bedroom has a lovely view of the beautiful garden with lovely linen on the bed - which was so comfortable. We enjoyed the hiking trails! The views were stunning and the route was marked very well.

We loved the unique style and all the special touches of the house, even the welcome note. Adri and Leon was very accommodating when we had to check in late. Leon's friendly welcoming and showing us to our accommodation was really appreciated.

Thanx for an awesome stay, comfy warm beds and the shower was amaizingly hot! Drinking from the tap water was so refreshing nothing like the water we have in Joburg.

It is 6 minutes from the Lesotho boarder. The owners were exceptionally welcoming. The chalet we stayed in was quirky and comfortable, a lovely indoor fire place and the bedrooms had their own bathrooms. a lovely warm bath in winter with electric blankets. It really was just lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the beer garden, so tasty and ended with thee MOST delicious carrot cake! We would definitely return.

It’s quite close to the main road but it’s not a very busy road, so traffic at night did disturb me as I’m a light sleeper but my partner snored through it 😅

There is a beautiful, well-kept garden with all sorts of flowers in bloom giving you your own small oasis. The walks on the property are lovely and peaceful and the hike to the water tunnels an unexpected bonus.
