The place is beautiful both inside and outside. I was travelling with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised to find that there’s a play area for kids. My sister went for a walk and fell into mud, she then left her hiking boots on the porch and we were again pleasantly surprised to find that the housekeeper had washed the boots clean, a service that was not expected at all. The attention to detail is totally unmatched, snacks are refilled everyday. Towels are changed daily…. Truly exceptional value for money. I’d be lying if I were to say there’s anything we were not happy with. & there’s a restaurant on the property which was an added bonus

I had an incredible stay at Andes Clarens Guesthouse, where every detail was meticulously attended to. The rooms feature a unique vintage-modern aesthetic and are fully equipped with everything one might need for a self-catering experience. This guesthouse truly stands out and can easily rival some of South Africa's most renowned hotel chains. The customer service was exceptional, particularly the manager, Brenda, who was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Additionally, the café's food was outstanding—definitely the best I had in Clarens! Overall, I rate my experience a solid 11 out of 10, and I will absolutely be returning in the future.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the place. It was an entirely pleasurable stay, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

Staying at this rental property was one of the most delightful experiences I’ve ever had, from the breathtaking, rose-covered farmhouse to the cuisine that deserves a five-star rating. The almond cake, in particular, was the best I’ve ever tasted. The warm and welcoming family who owns the farm made me feel like part of their own, creating an unforgettable atmosphere you simply can’t miss.

The only downside? I may never be able to enjoy regular almond cake again without comparing it to theirs. Honestly, the roses were so beautiful that I was tempted to start a garden, and now my yard feels terribly inadequate!

Beautiful country setting in close proximity to Clarens, with abundant birdlife, lush gardens and perfectly manicured lawns Quiet, peaceful and secure. The bedroom was large, very clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower and full en suite bathroom with a separate loo. Bedding and linen were crisp and clean. The patio overlooking the garden was private and peaceful. Tastefully modern with all the facilities which you may need. We have found a new favourite place [for us] in Clarens and will certainly return. Highly recommended!

Beautiful farm that is near to Clarens. The accommodation was 5 stars. Comfortable beds, stunning decor, cosy at night, peaceful surroundings, clean rooms, modern bathroom and overall just immaculate. Host was very friendly and was ready for us on arrival. We were offered drinks and made to feel at home. There is a lot more I could speak about this property but I'd be here all day. Highly recommended and I will definitely return soon with the family.

They really did go the extra mile with small detail like replenishing the rusks every day. The weekend was exceptionally cold so the underfloor heating really made a difference. A well finished and contemporary room.

The clear story window allowed light in before 6am which made it hard to sleep late which is one of the things we really needed. We are also used to a slightly softer bed, but I realise it is a personal preference.

Beautiful Wedding Venue that they converted into Stunning Rooms and a Coffee Shop. We didn't get to eat breakfast at their Coffee Shop but a variety was on offer with a menu in the room. It was Argitechturally amazing, however for the cold weather in the Eastern FreeState they should offer better heating facilities. They went out their way with extra personal touches everywhere.

Under floor heating and small wall heater in the bathroom is definately not sufficient for those extremely cold winters they get. Maybe offer an electric blanket and install an air conditioner for those days.

Beautiful place with the most amazing gardens. The entire place exceeded our expectations. The level of detail and thoughtful spaces was so impressive. This is a place where the owners didn't skimp on anything. They have everything to make your stay super comfortable. The accommodation is on a livestock farm, so a little tip - take something for flies. There is doom in the rooms, but somehow the flies were persistent. The hosts and staff and their dogs were super hospitable.
